"I agree with Arkady," Supiyaw added. "We need to talk to the Elders, and also to Boxer and James to see if they have ideas."

"Car is this way," said Arkady as he steered the Bastet towards where he had parked.

She went with Arkady, her arm still around his waist, his familiar on her shoulder as he guided her to the car, leaving Jason and Russell to follow. "Stark would be at his office now, after we speak to the others we should inform him."

Jason looked over at Russell and grinned in that 'I told you so' way before he made for his own car at a jog.

Arkady settled into the driver's seat and turned the key. "Make sure buckled up," he said with a smile and then began driving back to the Chantry.

Supiyaw was ahead of him, buckling up after she had carefully let Tasha off her shoulder to find a comfortable place for herself. "I wonder if they will try to make this a race home?"

"Street racing is for teenagers whose parents have more money than sense," said Arkady as he maneuvered the vehicle through the streets. "Good way to get innocent people killed. Asshole driver is always the least injured."
He pulled up into the Chantry's driveway. "Home safe and sound." He unbuckled his seatbelt and headed inside, Tasha trotting behind him. "Mother, father, we are home. Did you forget to tell us about cranky dragon at node?"

Supiyaw had to chuckle at Arkady's little joke. "Lady Rowin was heading for her garden," she reminded him, before looking around for Boxer and James. "I wonder if James went to his sanctum to better access his toys."

Jason arrived a few minutes after Arkady and Supiyaw. He parked his car and stepped out, then worked his way around to the back of the chantry, hoping that Rowin and Gren were still back there. "Rowin! Gren! Where are you guys? Stop having sex behind the trees for a second, I've got a few questions!"

The Chantry, the Magi and Bastet found, was silent as the proverbial tomb.
This was compounded by the fact one of the Spectral Minions appeared directly behind Arkady and Sipuyaw, and in it's tomb cold voice, uttered it's words "Master Gren, Mistress Rowin, Lord Steele and the Professor are unavailable."
The disembodied half translucent head hung there, as if in wait.

"Did they leave a message where they were going?" Supiyaw asked the Minion, although she had a feeling that she was not going to like the answer at all.

"Lord Gren and Lady Rowin adjoined to their Garden, with commands not to be disturbed. Lord Steele and Doctor Zoom have both left the Chantry and Horizon Realm without word."
The floating skull with the glowing red eyes locked them upon the Bastet, "Is there anything else?" it asked, seemingly annoyed.

"Please let Boxer and James know we're back," Supiyaw asked sweetly, before turning her back on the minion to look at Arkady, Jason, and Russell. "They did mention dinner tonight, so they will be back by then." She sounded far more confident in that than she felt.

Jason grumbled and looked around. "Hey! Gren! Rowen! Quit fucking in the bushes already damnit! I have a question!"
When no response came Jason threw his hands up in the air and stalked towards the chantry proper. His voice high-pitched to immitate Rowen. "Why you know you can come to me any time Jason, you can ask me any question. I'm always glad to help, except of course when I'm too busy ," Jason turned back around and started yelling again "Getting humped by Gren!"
Jason stomped into the chantry and looked around.

Supiyaw gave Arkady a wry smile, reaching out to stroke his arm. "Elders cannot solve everything," she said philosphically, before turning to the dining table. The minions had cleared away the dishes and remaining food, but had left the autopsy file and its pictures behind.
"Still... we have more information than we started ..," she said stepping to the table and leaning over it to sort through the pictures. She'd seen it and she hoped she was...
The curse was a low growl, with only Tasha to understand it. "I think I know what they are making, at least..." The Bastet held up the photo for Arkady to see -- the girl's entrails formed into a pentagram, point down. "The first body was found due South, the second to the NorthEast of it, and this one was SouthWest." Her directions were accurate, she knew, as her finger traced the points of the pictured pentagram. "The killers are bragging."

"Ah hell... " Russell said as he saw the pentagram "Joy of joys. Alright, is there a ritual that uses those that does something with nodes? Because those Enochian words... it will be hard, but I am willing to use magic to translate them if there is..."

Akrady fidgeted with his laser pointer and then spoke, amplifying and directing the sound throughout the house to reach the other mages. "Have big problem with dragon and killings. Need to Discuss."

Boxer appeared as if summoned.
"Dragons? What did you let Russel and Jason do!?!" He asked alarmed.

"The Guardian recognized us as mages, but not ones he knew," Supiyaw explained further. "He thinks we're the ones committing the murders of -his- children." There was a definite emphasis on the possive. "Oh, and if we come back he'll kill us," she added causally.

"He seemed to not be able to distinguish between friendly mages, and someone who would ritualistically kill young women. So it tells us at least one, possibly two things. If it was a sleeper doing these things, the guardian would not be lashing out against us... I dont think. I am not sure if I can ascribe logic to a dragon, it is my first one. Which could mean the killer is awakened. Additionally, from the way he was speaking, it sounded as if this was some sort of betrayal or violation of his trust. But that could be cause in human by any number of different happenstances"

Jason came from around the corner as Boxer made his accusation. "Oh sure. Always my fault... Assholes." Jason was silent as the others talked though. "Kinda odd that he'd call the students his children though. I wasn't aware guardians got that possessive of the sleepers that might spend time near them. So he might be a bit cooky from the get-go, which wasn't helped by the murders."
