Jason had wandered further off from the rest of the group now. The young man's attention was more on the living people now than the dead. As such he smiled, and winked, and grinned at those around him. One hand slipped unconsciously up to his poker card that was slipped in the rim of his fedora and stroked it carefully.

The node was still enough of a threat that Jason was carefully to keep a wide berth, but the young man was quickly spiraling away from the area to go look at other places.

"This is as good as we will get here without access to the most recent crime scene... If we come back, we will need to bring Boxer with us, he has access to time magics...Now, where has the fool gone?" Russell said, looking around for Jason

"What?" Supiyaw asked, looking around .. and noticed who was missing. Her head first jerked to scan the nearby quad, making sure he -wasn't- inside the node's border. "Please tell me the idiot didn't go in there..." she hissed.

Jason had no idea that they were done now, and as far as he was concerned they were going to continue at this for hours before they finally figured it out and moved on. The young man had other things on his mind now anyway, like women.

Sticking his hands in his pockets after pulling his fedora down just a little to make him look more roguish he set off away from the quad and towards the campus proper.

"No, he isnt in the node... God damn it, the idiot wandered off, probably carousing... Do we want to look for him, or leave him here to die?"

"Do you wish to go back to Rowin and tell her he's gone?" Supiyaw asked with one eyebrow raised. It was a very rhetorical question, as Supiyaw stalked past Russell, away from the node and towards the campus buildings. <When I find him I will hurt him> her body language read clearly to Tasha.

Supiyaw stopped dead, forcing Russell to nearly run into her, having spotted Jason not far away. "Rrusssell? Iss he flirrting with that grrl?" she asked, with far too many rrrs and ssses to be anything but a very pissed-off kitty. If Tasha had followed, she could read the message even clearer. <Oh, I am SO going to hurt/maim him.>

"I am pretty sure he is... Dont... kill him... just beat him" the mage said, after only barely avoiding running into her

Jason was grinning and laughing and telling jokes. He already had a name and a number when he suddenly got the sense that he was in severe danger. The young man suddenly turned and saw Supiyaw stalking straight towards him. His eyes went wide and Jason gained the pose of a deer stuck in the headlights. Only able to watch as doom came his way.

Even in her anger, she could tell that the girl was impressed and taken by the young man. More fool she. Still, it was time to cause a bit of mayhem. "Jason, your mother is looking for you this instant," Supiyaw exclaimed in a heavy Hindu accent. "Why are you skipping school to come here again? You are having two years before you graduate yet!"

She pauses only briefly to look at the girl he's just gotten charmed. "Please to be forgiving... he must be going now back to classes." She grabbed Jason's arm with -surprising- strength (if one didn't know she was Were) and began to drag the poor Mage away from the pretty girl.

Jason blinked once or twice as Supiyaw went into her tirade, completely confused. "I, but... what?" He looked back at the girl. "I mean, no. I'm not... but..." And then Supiyaw had him around the arm and was tugging. Jason never had a chance as he was dragged along after her. The boy was completely stunned into silence, not sure what he could say to even attempt to fix this.

Russell could barely avoid laughing from his position a few meters away, in fact, he made audible snickers, as Jasons chances with that girl disappeared forever

He proceeded to follow the two at a safe distace

Once out of the girl's hearing, Supiyaw hissed at Jason "What did you think you were doing, idiot?"

The pulling and jostling to get Jason from the girl unintentionally dragged Supiyaw and Russell closer tot he boundry edge of the Quad's node.

The black haired boy appeared at what the were-cat could tell was the interior border of the Cearn.

"Stay away from her boy.....you will not take her as well!"

The look of rage, the amount of anger held in his voice, the deep reverb it held, marked the warning it was giving.

Supiyaw's emotions were already high. She dropped Jason's arm and stepped just to the safe side of the boundary, glaring into the spirit's eyes. "You know who did thiss -- why accusse uss again and again!" she spat in its human face in feline fury. "Arre you blind, incompetent, orr worrsse? Go back to your fountain, zmei, and let uss work!"

"Deceiver! You well know I am bound to this place! Your Namers bound me to this place! The Namers take what is mines and corrupt! I can see the Namers...I smell their sssssstench upon you.."

The first time the boy's true nature came across more than it's sense of feeling, "You are one of the Shifting Breeds. You move with the Namers, thus you are as guilty as they. I will protect my charge...leave here! And stay from my Alisson..."

"Supiyaw," said Arkady. "Step back. Take brain dead idiot and leave lizard in peace."

Arkady's voice made the Bastet pause, then take a step back from confrontation. Coppery eyes watched the dragon-spirit warily, thinking over what he had said. "Were Asshley and Tina your favoritess asss well?" she asked probingly, naming two of the girls murdered.

Jason had stepped back away from Supiyaw. "You know what? I'm really freaking tired of having to dance around this guy. So I'm going to go back home and get some answers out of Gren and Rowin."

The young man turned away and made for his car, which unfortunately was still most of the way across campus.

"Alright"

Russell went with him

"You, you will NOT wander away like that again. You will be sane and responsible, or you stand a good chance of getting you or the rest of us killed. Also dont interrogate the others... if I am right about what that dragon said, I dont want to tip our hand more than is necessary. Besides, the need to do so might be premature, I have a way of translating the Enochian found on the body... that could give us a clue we did not otherwise have"

Jason snorted. "Bite me old man. The only way to get near that damn thing is to get introduced to it by the 'owner'. And the 'owner' is at the chantry. So where was that third body and when was it found? You guys at least found that out while I was gone right?"

"Alright, How about this. I wont protect you if you do something stupid again, and are endangered as a result... Is that amenable to you?"

"There was no line of sight, but a certain Virtual Adept should have top down photos by now, or I can get it with correspondence. We did find out conclusively that the bodies were dumped, and not killed or defiled here, and that a dark shrouded man is responsible. As for those back at the chantry... Listen to what that dragon said. The Namers Bound Me. the Namers Corrupt, he can smell their stench upon us. Is the reason not to interrogate the "owners" clear to you? I am going to translate the Enochian, and see if Boxer will help out with the use of Time magics... It will give a better picture than scanning through fading memories. But do not inform the others of more than you have to. If you must question them, disguise the questions, or make them seem innocuous" Russell said, as he walked. Young people could be such fools, the fact that this one had an over-inflated sense of his own competence did not help matters one bit.
