I present my private ranking scheme for Transformers. Welcome to my headspace.

Mobile Death Fortress: Anything bigger than Omega Supreme.

Giant 'bot: Omega Supreme, Guardians, gestalts.

First Tier Leaders: Optimus Prime, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus, etcetera.

Second Tier Leaders: Scourge, Blaster, Grimlock, Sixshot, Starscream, etcetera.

Superior Warriors: Jazz, Triple Changers, Laserbeak, Iron Hide, Wheeljack, most of the PCs. Note that it isn't just raw power or fighting ability (although that counts) but also superior ability in their chosen field.

Name Warriors: Every other Transformer in the series.

Ordinary Transformers

And Hornet is about three more levels below that.

... besides, I think Scorpinok could probably take Hornet without MUCH trouble. Maybe not if Hornet was already flying...

At the request of DS, I introduce the newest addition to the human arsenals.. Presumably because one is going to be backing us up. I hope. Shockwave probably isn't happy I left dent marks on his chestplate.

X-1 Heavy Battle Tank. Codename: 'Bolo'.

Faced with the growing threat of the Decepticon war machine storming across the continents, the human nations allied with the Autobots have created a new tank in the hopes of standing the line. In many ways a throwback to WW2, it departs from the rapid-moving MBTs of the earlier decades to an attitude of size and durability, incorporating Cybertronian alloys and fission reactors to bring the technology only now revealed to be being shared to bear.

Mass: 95 tons.
Top Speed: 40MPH roads, 35MPH rough.
Main armanent: 70mm LASER cannon.
Secondary armanent: 6x2mm 'Gattling' lasers.
Indirect weaponry: 6xVLS Missile Cells.

Utilizing energy weaponry and a miniaturized fission reactor, the 'Bolo's' operational time is unparalleled, however, it's slow speed and advanced technologies are leading to supply-line issues. All known instances of this HBT are defensive in nature, holding onto the regions not yet conquered by the Decepticons.

Early attempts at automation have yielded a limited ability to conduct missions unpiloted, however these are limited to pre-programmed battleplans with minimal improvisation.

Known Variants:

'Tripoli', USMC: Stripped of it's VLS cells, it's armour reduced, and it's heavy main gun replaced with a twin-gattling laser turret, the Tripoli has been made signifigantly lighter, faster, and watertight. Designed to literally go underwear and roll to it's target before re-emerging, the internal space freed up allows for a squad of Marines to deploy directly into combat, supported by heavy energy weapons fire. Despite the great firepower, armour, and surprise the Tripoli offers, acceptance has been limited by frontline troops.

'Raiden', JSDF: It's VLS cells replaced with anti-air configured laser batteries, the Raiden is used primarily to 'discourage' Seeker attacks on the island nation.

Suspected Variants:

'Invictus', Sighted in Europe: The deranged fanatic Sunstorm vanished over Europe early in the war, and the chief assumption was that his fusion core finally gave out and incinerated him from within. However, sightings of a HBT whose weapons fire leaves suspiciously high rad-counts are leading some speculation that someone in the EU has the Decepticon in their hands.. And have duplicated the fusion core within him.

Alright. Blindside's backstory is now posted in the thread in the User Fiction forum.

Nope, wasn't enough that there were 45 Decepticons baring down on the injured and fatigued Shellshock and Overload. Now we've got 150 Fulcrums too...

Just wish I didn't have to help take down Shockwave so I could set up my cannon. That would certainly help against the pain that is coming my way...

oh...wait...

i meant to have some of those ground pounder Decepticons flying to meet with ya'll....

The 45 Decepticons are going to meet with the Autobot group that's still surronding Prime's trailer section.....you know you people are a couple kilometers away from there....

-edits t have ten of the ground pounders head out ya'll way-

oh wait....already have 15 of them moving in on your position.....

have fun with those fifteen Decepticons (most of them military vehicles in their own accord...artillery and missle launchers, five cybertronian heavy tank forms included in that mix) three Seekers, and 120 extra Fulcrum bearing down on you.....

Shockwave doesn't plan in half measures ya know...

...Good grief. Fellow Autobots, I wish all of you the best.

Dark Silver, you've made your wishes clear to only let me join the game officially once this battle is concluded, so I won't bother pleading to join now, despite how ugly it looks from the sidelines.

May the Matrix be with you all, Autobots.

As much as it pains me to wait, and how much I hope to help in the battle now, I must abide by Dark Silver's wishes.

(EDIT: Fixed Dark Silver's name)

Given Dark Silver's reasoning, despite my personal wishes, I'll have to wait.

Blindside is alternating between playing solitaire and going through his martial arts forms while in transit in the meantime.

Only thing i will say is...remember the amount of ordinance your using, and the power of those weapons.

Utilizing the AtG bombs near infantry, especially when it's all close in amongst your own allies....would be suicidally incompetent.

just a friendly warning from the GM in advance....after all, would hate to see your character court martialed and jailed away for killing fellow Autobots.
Not telling you what to do, but be aware the Decepticons on the ground, plus the other Seekers in the air won't stay still to let you drop the bombs on them.

I'll make a response post tomorrow, right now it's bedtime.

Oh, I don't plan on using beefed up cluster bomb munitions or 2,000 pound autobot boosted JDAM's "danger close" on infantry positions. That would be messy at best. :P

Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, we're seeing some sad days in the aerialbot community. Not like the old days, back on Cybertron when they were dropping smart bombs, in the shit, flak so thick you could walk on it...

There once was a time, aerialbots were gods
Raising LGVs in their targeting pods...
it was fairly tasking
not to overfill your cup
but if you werent on your game
you could still screw it up
yeah those days have all disappeared
the antichrist has appeared
the end is finally here
and it's dumb bombs
yeah the dumb bombs...

So I've got a crazy idea......

Jetfire's technical speciality in his bios and profiles in almost all of the various media has been "Air Guardian". So....

What if the Air Guardians where the Autobots answers to the seekers?

Jetfire, of course, being their leader, and at current, only active Air Guardian left that they are aware of.....makes a interesting counterpoint to Starscream even more so - both scientist (of sorts) prior to the war, both high profile, incredibly fierce air warriors for their respective sides during the war....

-plots the creation of Autobot Air Guardians now....-

oh yeah...I said i'd make a GM post today didn't I....
