With the aside of Warpath, Outbreak, Deathstrike and Stryke, and a few bruisers like Overload, Omega Supreme, (Read: the really fucking tough ones) - Autobots were meant to be "civilian" models, personnel droids for the most part. Even with upgrades to their frames, their just not up to snuff with the likes of the dedicated Warrior Robots that are the Decepticons. Not to mention Megatron's various upgrades to the Decepticons over the years. So yeah, they can soak up a significant amount of damage and remain at least partially functional.

That said - I'm letting almost all of you make your own calls on the damage you take, start taking slightly less. While cybertronian weapons are suppossed to be powerful, so is their armor. Hell, even Hornet would probably take a modern day (real modern day, not game world) tank to do significant damage from humans. And he could technically, still tangle with the smaller Decepticons (like Soundwave's cassettes).

It's either that, or I tone down the damage the con's take/give. And if I do that..well...where's the sense of danger?

Profile/History: A relatively new autobot Wingnut was originally trained by Ratchet in order to become an assistant and potential successor. Upon his arrival on Earth however, he decided on a radical approach to the current autobot problems. Keenly aware that the conflict which revolved around Earth was the key to human survival and the future of the autobots he came to the conclusion that he would be more valuable to the war effort as a destroyer rather than a builder. Touched by the stories of a human flying machine and what it represented to the people that had built it and utilized it, he chose to assume its form and take up its struggle.

His choice did not thrill his mentor, but he would not be dissuaded. Along with the choosing of his alt form, he chose a new name Sky Shadow one that would personify that which he hoped to accomplish. Nonetheless, the path before him was a difficult one. He had never flown before and the process of managing to control his alt form and become a competent flyer was a time consuming one. For weeks after his choice, Sky Shadow made it a point to absorb as much information as possible about his alt form seeking to understand every nuance about the aircraft that he had chosen to emulate. The process was slow and time consuming but ultimately a successful one.

Alt Form: Sky Shadow’s alt form is a B2-Spirit Stealth Bomber. In this form he relies predominantly on stealth characteristics to avoid detection long enough to deliver his payload. Even with cybertronian enhancements and technology his alt form is still not designed to go toe to toe with air superiority fighters. Sky Shadow is sub-sonic, moderately armored and moderately maneuverable.

Weapons: In robot form, Sky Shadow is predominantly a medium to long range fighter, relying on an impressive internal store of ordnance to achieve his objectives. His direct fire armament is relatively light and revolves around twin pulse laser assemblies which are found above his shoulders. These weapons are relatively light and are primarily designed to intercept incoming ordnance while in his alt form. His primary weapon in this form is mounted on his right arm a heavy laser cannon capable of pulse mode or continuous fire at low power it can double as an effective cutting torch. He possesses two drones each roughly three meters in length and about a meter in width, built around a grav-drive and a compact sensor system. The drones are unarmed but possess similar stealth characteristics as his alt-form. The purpose of the drones is to locate and designate targets for Sky Shadow’s primary armament, a withering array of ordnance.

Weaknesses: Sky Shadow is a relatively new autobot and lacks the breadth of experience of older autobots and decepticons. Before choosing his alt form he had never flown before although he has made great strides over the last four months in this regard. In his cybertronian form as in his alt form, he relies predominantly on his ordnance to attack. He possesses no real melee weapons aside from his fists and as such attempts to avoid close quarter engagements.

Now for your briefing....

I will be posting a Autobot post this evening....this will set the stage mostly for the next round.

Your team is being kept together, and being assigned as apart of a strike force against the former Fort Maximal - now dubbed Darkmuth by it's Decepticon holders.

The objective will be simple - Decepticon bases can't be laid seige to, each holding has a Spacebridge built into it, allowing them virtually instantaneous resupply and reinforcements. The object is to retake the base, failing that - blow it up.

Obviously the Decepticons having a base in North America will be EXCESSIVELY troubling. Until now, while the 'Con's have made strike raids and thelike, they've never had a foothold during the war on the continent. They do now, and over one of the richest sources of Hydrocarbons in the hemisphere. You will be apart of a military mission, you will have human backup - the two months have not been quiet on both the human and Autobot sides. Sheer logistics of pulling soldiers off of other fronts and making sure the humans are ready to render aid takes time.

Being as I'm the one playing the least potent character here, I believe I should point out that as the PCs are all Autobots (B4 excepted), according to the standard way these things work, the game is SUPPOSED to be biased against us. That's the whole point.

Ok, so here's my deal....

I want input.

Prior to the battle of Fort Maximal, literally before he left to go there - Optimus Prime managed to broker a deal with the current human governments and militaries. The deal was really simple, The Autobots would share some of their weapons designs and technology (nothing cutting edge, but definatly powerful enough to help defend against the Decepticons) as well as more technology which would help alleaviate the strain on the human's economy/infrastructure. This technology would be given once the human militaries disbanded as individual units, and formed under a global flag, the Earth Defense Command.

In exchange, the Autobots obtained a large chunk of land in order to build a supreme HQ, Autobot City.

Now....aside from Exosuits (both the type Daniel and Spike wore in TF, plus a few more heavily armed suits), what other vehicles/weapons do you think they would help the humans design, build and operate?

Obviously, they'll also be helping them get their air-forces off the ground, refitted with Energon based engines, better manuverability against Seekers and thelike...etc etc.

so...ideas people.

Definately lots of anti-air technology, in jets and emplacements, etc. That will give the humans the possibility of at least keeping the Decepticons from gaining Air superiority in every battle that enough flying Autobots aren't present for.

Short of that, upgrades for tanks, faster, more maneuverable, able to take more punishment, and most importantly, able to deal out more damage.

Probably the biggest thing that would be given out would be things involved for city defenses. Shielding, gun emplacements, transforming cities? (yeah, right.)

Single man power armor (the exosuits from the movie need to be beefed up a bit for military service).

As for the air units, improvements to pilot suits and ejection systems, both so pilots can actually survive the performance of their aircraft and eject with some hope of getting to the ground alive.

Honestly I think Bolos are simply to heavy for this war, not to mention take to long to build.

No powered armour. It wouldn't be tough enough or carry big enough weapons to be worth the resources.

Super fighters or super tanks. Big enough and tough enough to carry transformer grade weapons and armour in amounts that matter and there are already people with training in how to fly planes and drive tanks.

Heavy arty might be worth while as well.

Lots of anti-Transformer missile tech which allows older weapon vehicles to be of some use.

Profile/history:
Slipstream was an early model scout from the beginning days of the Cybertronian War. He was engaged in a skirmish above the Cybertronian city-state of Kalis. The battle was costly on both sides as Megatron's forces in the area fought savagely to keep the engine reactors entirely in Decepticon hands. Megatron's plan to use Cybertron as a cosmic dreadnaught had progressed far enough for the massive engines to be rebuilt. Shortly after this event, Megatron was stranded on the terran homeworld, Earth.

The battle was considered a loss on either side of the war as Kalis was nearly destroyed as a result. The reactors sat inactive for many many eons prior to an Autobot scientist by the name of Flame uncovering them. Leading a salvage team, Flame began to uncover the reactors, seeking to utilize their systems as a great energy source for the Autobots. Such a claim would enable the Autobots to engage in larger operations against the Decepticons.

During the excavation the Autobot team uncovered several Cybertronians trapped and buried in the rubble. Surprisingly several were still 'alive,' buried in the rubble and greatly damaged, locked in deep stasis locks. Most did not survive the transport back to Iacon for repairs. Slipstream nearly died as well.

Making it back to Iacon he underwent extensive repairs. The repairs were mostly unsuccessful as the damage to his systems was so severe his spark chamber kept losing containment. It was decided the only way to ensure his survival was a complete rebuild. His spark chamber was carefully removed and transplanted into a new frame.

Upon his reactivation he resumed his duty with the Autobots. Currently he is being reassigned to Autobot command on Earth.

Slipstream is brash, cocky, and self-sure. He's reckless and wild, prone to being completely spontanious and seldom following any sort of preset plan or agenda. This same attitude has seemingly kept him alive for quite a long time through many battles as his luck tends to run oddly.

Weaknesses: Light armor - a sacrifice to up his speed and manuverability his weight was decreased from his armor, lightening it significantly.

Light weapons - his laser weaponry is significantly weaker then the average Cybertronian's.

Almost completely incapable of utilizing proper tactics or strategy - Slipstream's method of aerial combat can only be rightly described as 'flying by the seat of your pants.' High speed acrobatic manuvers, seemingly flamboyant and pointless demonstrations of ability, and actions that must be no less then absolutely suicidal. Where others would be going out of control, he seems capable of almost 'zenning' into the battle, relying on instinct and feel rather then instruments and indications. One would call this foolish, stupid, daring the Matrix to take his spark early, but for him it is the only way. This is quite literal, as his battle records show that any time he's forced into a formation or tactical strategy by a superior his preformance drops dramatically and he always ends up severely injured because of it.

Weapons: His primary weapon is a pulse laser cannon capable of a high rate of low yield fire. The cannon is mounted beneath his nose in his alt form.

A-A laser emitters - Two semi-fixed laser emitters are mounted in the wings, near the base of the wing where it connects to the main body. These lasers can be fired only in his alt form and can only be aimed along the front arc with a max angle of about 45 degrees in any direction from the nose.

Two mini-missile launcher bays are concealed in the aft part of the alt form. Each of the missile clusters contains 24 of the mini-missiles which are high-manuverability medium range missiles. The missiles are unusable except in alt form.


Alt Form: Sleek futuristic jet aircraft. The jet is equiped 2 two-dimensional independent convergent/divergent exhaust for greater manuverability and V/STOL capability. Small vernier thrusters are mounted on the wingtips, nose, vertical stabilitizer and cannards for added preformance. Capable of achieving speeds of approaching mach 4 at less then 30,000meters above sea level. Above that level his speed can increase to nearly mach 5. Cruising speed is around mach 1.8
