Bah, Blitzwing was a pussy. Kup fucked up his aim in the movie then Hot Rod busted his ass with one of the insecticon clones.

He can't be that tough...

You know...for a group of warrior robots.......ya'll are a sloppy buncha bastards....

constantly disobeying orders...running off to do whatever even when the base commanders tell you what to do...then when the two higher ranking Autobots show up, ya'll don't listen to them either....

Bah....

The Combiner forms of Overload and Shellshock.

Overshock
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Heavy combatant
Designation: Combiner

Profile/History: See Overload and Shellshock

Abilities: Overshock, the combiner formed when Overload is the 'dominant' personality, is very much the hard-headed Autobot writ large. While Shellshock's massive arm-cannon is retained, this form stands roughly level with Devastator, and while lacking the bulk of the Decepticon Gestalt, retains Overload's prowess in close combat.

Weaknesses: The massive size of Overshock means he's a big, easily spotted target. In addition, the additional size blunts most of the durability gained from Overload.

Weapons: 356mm arm-cannon, exceptional close combat prowess, occasional Decepticons unfortunate enough to get grabbed and used as melee weapons.

Breachload
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Heavy Combatant
Designation: Combiner

Profile/History: See Overload and Shellshock.

Abilities: When Shellshock remains the 'dominant' half of the combiner, Breachload is formed, and exemplifies the warbot's preference for ranged combat. With Overload forming a heavily armoured exoskeleton that adds little height but lots of durability, additional ranged weapons are brought online.

Weaknesses: Much like Overshock, the additional mass makes for a very slow transformer. Additionally, while it's rare for anyone to get close, Breachload shares Shellshock's lack of prowess in close combat.

Weapons: 356mm arm cannon, ion pistol, and two shoulder-mounted cannons powered directly from Overload's otherwise idle powerplant.

Quote: Two heads are much better than one.

And of course Overload is running around, DS... Someone has to keep the raw recruits from shooting themselves.
Half-Damned, All Hero.

IRWriter86: So we'll have a good number of combat ready Autobots on scene.
IRWriter86: As well as defenses.
GenHavoc: True
GenHavoc: We are STILL badly outgunned though
GenHavoc: there's a pair of Gestaults coming
IRWriter86: Pfft.
IRWriter86: Overload and I can deal with the Stunticons.
GenHavoc: And the Predacons?
IRWriter86: Best of luck there.

Of course the only answer that can be given to Nit's question about if Optimus knows Swiftshot.
"Nope, never heard of the fragger. Slag 'em."

Oh, wait, we're not playing in my TF game... Which explains why the planet is still around...

Fuck that. Optimus is a fucking robot and there are, at the most, a couple hundred Cybertronians on planet. Prime not know his own people?

I got the impression that there about a thousand of us knocking around at least but Cat has a point, Prime has what can be considered a supercomputer wedged into his head.

And they've been shown, multiple times, to still be failable in both the comics and the TV show.

That and Prime has a massive amount of responsibility and duties to attend to, he can't meet with every single Autobot who comes planetside. That's what they have systems like Teletran-1 for.

Not buying it at all. Prime not meet with his people? There aren't that many of them and that's the kind of thing Prime would make time and room in his memory banks for.

There's a about 1200 Autobots planet side, most of them the "faceless masses", though their distinct on their own. Aside from the PC's. Optimus has to co-ordinate with the human governments, lead the Autobots in warfare, check on various facilities around the planet...and somewhere inbetween all this, he has to find time to recharge his own energizer.

Call it GM fiat if you have to, but there's no way in hell Prime can be there to meet every single Autobot whose come planet side in the past five years. Somethings need to be delegated, and sometimes he just can't get them done.

Hell, he had to think for a minute before he called Crimson by her name, and for the most part, this is the first time some of the PC's are even seeing him.

So..yeah..he didn't immediately recognize Swiftshot. If you have to know, I'm using this so a PC doesn't get offed immediately. Which is my providence to decide.

It is your call, but 1200 within five years is easily something Prime can make face time for and certainly within his ability to download and store data.

Cyncat, DS is right.

You would do the same thing in his place, giving the Player a chance to pull his ass out of the fire he put himself in. Let it ride for now, and if you want you can have a 'friendly fire' accident with Swiftshot later.

*glances at Cyn* Yeah, and every commander knows EVERY troop under his command. Right...

Shit, the commander of my 400man unit doesn't know everybody's name. And I damn well guarentee you that my base commander doesn't know the name of every individual on my base...

So the idea that the general doesn't know the name of every one of his soldiers isn't really far fetched, regardless of whether or not he's got a computer for a brain. Hell, I guess I need to go out and start pointing out examples of Optimus not knowing Autobots before...
