Don't make promises you can't keep frigid. You're a Marine and a Marine's trained to kill his enemies. I don't know how you can think of a Striker as anything but an enemy of Marines everywhere.

I had a thought about Megatron's evil empire. There's a good chance he'll play the old trick of empowering despised ethnic minorities as head crackers, granting them a comparatively privileged position. For example, having Jews and Kurds be factory guards, plantation overseers, and internal security chain dogs.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Since some people have been.....questioning it, the humans have not been complacemt and rolling over during all this time.

Russia:
The Motherland is all but deserted. Moscow called for a evacuation in 2003, after two years of struggling to keep the country alive. Near continuous attacks by the Decepticons devestated the population, as well as the limited farmland in Russia.

The fertile oil and gas deposits under Siberia are a hotly contested area between the Autobots with their human allies and Decepticons.

Free Europe Union:
With a good portion of formerly free Europe now under Decepticon rule, littered with Death camps and slave labor plantations, Great Britain has taken a lead role in command of the Free European Union (FEU) The British Isles is a hotbed of scientific discovery, as European scientist and American scientist work to reverse engineer the Autobot and captured Decepticon technologies into making anti-Transformer weapons.

During the war, with limited assistance from overseas allies, the Decepticons were defeated, however briefly, at Rome. A nuclear warhead, hidden there by the British military, was detonated, killing a total of fifteen Decepticons, injuring many more, and breaking the assault for three weeks - enough time to finish the evacuation of Central Italy.

India:
Western and Northern India has seen better days, the land has been poisoned and cratered beyond use, the Indian Government made the only use of Nuclear Weapons against a force of Sentinal Robots - decimating the Decepticon battle drones, but destroying the surronding land. This Wasteland serves as a buffer zone between the Decepticon Empire, and the humans left in India.

China:
China was far enough away from the war front to not undergo extensive battles. China remains free at the moment, only because of a deal cut hastily with the Decepticon high command, providing a portion of it's population yearly towards the Decepticon's slave labor pool - allowing the Chinese Government to make use of Sentinal Robots in conquering the rest of South-eastern Asia. Chinese scientist have managed to reverse engineer the Sentinal Robots weaponry into heavy artillery weaponry. China refuses to share the technology though, quoting state secrets.

Most free governments, and the Autobots, beleive the Decepticons have infiltrated the Chinese Government with Genetic Facsimiles (artificial humans loyal to the Decepticon cause) - though little can be done at the moment to remedy the situation.

South and North America:
Temporarily decapitated when the Decepticons turned Washington D.C. into a smoking ash filled crater (leaving no survivors), the United States quickly struck back, utilizing some experimental weaponry designed just incase the Autobots decided to doublecross the humans. During the Decepticon's European campaign, US submarines and missle cruisers attempted to launch nuclear tipped ICBMs, only to have them destroyed by Decepticon Seekers, and entrenched anti-missle enplacements.

Despite the lack of oil, the United States has made great strides towards recovery, becoming a major production facility for alternative-fueled vehicles, and prototype weapons capable of injuring Transformers. Despite this, North American countries are still focused on keeping thier own borders secure, but plan on engaging in a offensive war against the Cybertronians soon.

Fifteen seems a bit large unless they were cannon fodder shmucks.

There were several in the comics and in the later seasons of G-1 on both sides who could count as "cannon fodder shmucks". Personally I'd lump the Insecticons and the Stunticons under that heading.

the Fifteen number is five Sentinal Robots, a couple of cannon fodder smucks (insecticon clones mostly) and Thrust.....

Yes...Thrust got killed...

Megatron was not happy that the human germs managed to take out fifteen of his warriors.

1) I like the Insecticons. They're suitably voracious, even if a bit silly. (But go ahead and kill them or their clones).

2) Motormaster can't die until after he's had a head to head ram fest with Overload. Wouldn't be fair to Nitram.

3) Loosing a Seeker is fine. It's not like they're aren't a few extra flying around somewhere.

Nitram, I think you're going to have to edit your story. It looks like Dark Steel is going with the Dreamwave origins for the Decepticons (Megatron as a gladiator who assembled a band of warriors to challenge to corrupt order) than the cartoon one.

Fucking G1 and its multiple origins and none of them accounting for why transformers personalities are so close to that of humans, down to them having gender. Of course, we are talking about the universe where it took them a dozen years to explain why the Matrix could blow up Unicron and only Unicron. The Quintesson explanation at least leaves open that the Quintessons were AIs created by a humanoid race because their minds are pretty humanoid as well.

To be technical...it's more of a mix between original GenOne and Dreamwave's continuity...so Nitram doesn't really need to change his story.

I'll post the appropriate overall history here
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Approx 1 billion B.C.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Quintessons leave their home planet of Quintessa, and begin to conquer the surrounding planetary systems. They are eventually defeated by a unknown alien species, and their empire is scattered. The Quintessons then begin to build CyberWorlds (worlds built entirely of metal, with all lifeforms which inhabit it are of robotic nature) and Mechaform others to create new Cyberworlds.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
150 Million B.C.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Quintessons create Vector Sigma and the planet Cybertron in the Alpha Centauri System. Cybertron is approximately the size of Saturn but much heavier as it is a Mechafromed from a smaller planetoid. The Quintessons use Cybertron as a massive construction facility for a line of Military and Personal robots, which they then sell to the sentient Species of the Galaxy. As the largest buyers of these machines are humanoid in shape, most models are built in bilateral form.

Vector Sigma, the spherical ultra-computer built by the Quintessons, is the only way to control most of Cybertron and the Plasma Energy Chamber. The Quintessons, being mistrustful of their own creation, make the Plasma Energy Chamber give off to much energy, so that all robots who attempt to use it will overload. The Quintessons, being primarily organic, have no such problem with the Chamber.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
120 million B.C.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The robots begin to develop true sentient "souls" and begin to rebel against their Quintesson Masters, who have become fat and lazy in their millions of years of selling thier robots and acting like kings. Thus begins the First Cybertronian War. A scientist robot, known as A3, is one of the leaders of this war. The Quintessons are banished from Cybertron, unable to stop the ever growing ranks of their former slaves. The Cybertronian Robots name themselves Autobots, to denote their new freedom.

A depository for the "minds" of the greatest scientist and leaders is created, known as the Matrix. As time progresses, this Matrix is later found to have strange powers of remote energy-matter transference. Only certain Autobots who have both the proper mind and body shape can make use of it. All Autobot Leaders are renamed Prime, and become the nominal Leaders of the Cybertron, backed by the Council of Ancients.

Vector Sigma and the Matrix are the only known reliable ways to create new fully sentient and intelligent Cybertronian Robots. Each Cybertronian has a individual personality at "birth". The Autobots then enjoy a time of peace and pure scientific research. This period of Cybertronian history is known as the Golden Age of Cybertron.

The Golden Age of Cybertron was a time of advancement in Cybertronian Technology and Society. They are empowered by Energon, a condensing energy-matrix that is used to convert matter to energy and then tapped for power. Thus any matter can be used for life, but the best results come from electricity.

During this time, the sport of Gladiatorial Combat becomes popular amongst the Autobots. After centuries of flagging interest, a new breed of Gladiator Robots rekindles popularity of the Sport. The greatest of these Gladiators is known as Megatron, and his Energon-thirsty and violent combat in the Arena's bring him much adulation and praise from those who gather to watch him fight.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
90 million B.C.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Megatron begins to manipulate a seething hatred, left in the military modeled Transformers even after the defeat of the Quintessons, to forge his own personal army, the Decepticons - saying the Autobot Council is deceiving the Transformers of their true origins and nature.

At a rally for the Decepticon's, elite Autobot attack squad, known as the Wreckers, attack. Many Decepticons are either outright terminated, or sent to Stasis Lock, while others are taken to the Autobot Detention Centers in Iacon. Megatron manages to escape the assault, and more potential Decepticons gather to his banner. Megatron spurred hatred for the Autobots in his followers, stating their superiority via their enhanced strength and flight capabilities. Once he has gained enough followers, the renewed Decepticon Army begins a civil war against the Autobot Regime, to conquer the planet and rule it as their own Kingdom. Thus begins the Second Cybertronian War, and the end of the Golden Age of Cybertron.

The new Decepticon Army, being superior to the Autobot's by thier own construction as Military models, swarm over Cybertron. Countless City-States fell to their attacks, until the Autobots where defeated, exiled from Cybertron. Megatron takes the throne, and sets about rebuilding of Cybertron in his own image. After several thousand years, the Autobots return to Cybertron, and assault the Decepticons, defeating their opponents. In the conflict, Megatron disappears, presumed destroyed by an Autobot Strike Force at the battle of the Grande Rift, ending the Second Cybertronian War.

The next forty million years in Cybertronian History brings about the Third Cybertronian War, as various Autobots and Decepticons come to rule over Cybertron. The various factions rule is marked in varying degrees, such as the violent and totalitarian rule of the viscous Decepticon Scorponok, and the benevolent and peaceful reign of Sentinel Prime. Throughout the second and third Cybertronian War, the Golden Age of Cybertron remains almost undisturbed in essence, as great advances in science are still uncovered every day. Though military technology tends to grow faster than civilian based technology. The Third Great War Ends with the coming of Sentinel Prime and the discovery of Transformation, based in part of the studies of the Energy Condensing Matrix of Energon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
85 million B.C.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

A3, now known as Alpha Trion, is one of the leading Scientist Autobots on Cybertron, and caretaker of Vector Sigma. After millions of years, Megatron returns, and begins to re galvanize the Decepticon Forces, slaughtering Sentinal Prime in the process. When Megatron terminally damages Autobots Orion Pax and two others, Alpha Trion rebuilds them as the first true Warrior Autobots, Optimus Prime, Elita-One and Ironhide. He gives Optimus Prime the Matrix of Leadership, which enhances Optimus' abilities, giving new life to the Autobots cause against the Decepticons. After a brief struggle, Optimus Prime defeats Megatron and the Fourth Great War begins.

During the Fourth Great War, the fighting between the Autobots and Decepticons intensify, slowly draining away the once immense power reserves of Cybertron. In a reconnaissance mission to find a new source of energy, then scientist robot Starscream and his partner Jetfire become separated over a small planet somewhere in the Orion Arm of the Galaxy. During this time, in order to bolster the now dwindling Decepticon Ranks, Megatron builds the Robosmasher, a device that permanently reprograms Transformers and turns them into Decepticons. Using this device, Megatron corrupts the Constructicons, and utilize their vast skills in creation of the Combiner Technologies, and the formation of the first Decepticon Combiner, Devestator. Megatron then makes use of the robosmasher to corrupt a Autobot Warrior named Jeager, having the Constructicons rebuild him into a assassin known as Reaper. Soon after, Megatron unleashes the Constructicons on a mission to destroy Cybertron's greatest landmark, the Crystal City, guarded by the only Guardian Robot with a Spark, the Autobot Omega Supreme.

In rage, Omega Supreme chases the Constructicons off of Cybertron, and across the galaxy in search of revenge, both for betraying their friend Omega, and the destruction of his beloved home. A team of Autobots leaves Cybertron, tired of the endless warfare, and finds a way to survive on the planet known as Junk. After several centuries, they rename themselves Junkions, though they continue to wear the Autobot symbol. The Quintessons, having been adrift in space for millions of years, find a planet and terraform it into a semblance of their former home world, and dub it Quintessa. They continue their weapon selling ways from this new fortified home world. At this time, Energon becomes an acceptable form of currency in most star systems.

After millions of years of countless warfare, Cybertron is laid to waste by the conflicts, nearly running low on Energy via the battles which has either drained or destroyed nearly all it's power sources.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4 Million B.C.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over the length of the 4th Cybertronian War, Elita-One and Optimus Prime become separated. Prime uses his Iacon fortress to conduct his battles, while Elita-One gathers a group of Autobots and begins using guerrilla tactics. Cybertron, after suffering millions and millions of years of war, is now almost completely drained of Energy, as most sources of Energon has been either depleted or drained in the battles. Cybertron drifts aimlessly through the Orion Arm of the galaxy, eventually passing close to a G-type Yellow Star with several planets in orbit. One of these planets possess a atmosphere similar to Cybertron, which was not unlike the Quintesson's home planet.

As you can see, it's a fusion between both Dreamwave and GenOne...with a few bits and pieces thrown in to include some PC's from a previous game (which you may or may not see here).

I have some Autobot NPC's to post up today, and I will see to get the thread started, by tonight.

Autobot NPC's

Gridlock
Faction: Autobot
Function: Engineer
Alternate Mode: IMP-2M Multi-purpose Emergency Rescue Vehicle
Image

"Decepticon Parts, Autobot Parts, All made in Taiwan!"

Profile:
(From the Datatracks of Grapple - Autobot Architect)
I don't know what got into Gridlock when he landed on Earth..maybe it was all the residual radiation and fallout from the Indian nukes, maybe he spent a bit to long downloading information in that old Russian data archive...but he's never been the same since he got here. Back on Cybertron, he did some great work, he built the most elaborate houses in Ponti-helix and even the Governor's Abode in Kaon. He wasn't the most talkative Autobot back then, but he could do some great work.

But now....now he talks like a drunken cyberloon, seems to always boast about the great accomplishments of the Motherland...I just don't know what's going through his cortical processors. Though he still does some great work....I'm not sure I'd trust it all entirely without a thurough scan...

Abilities:
While not one of the greatest engineering minds on Cybertron, Gridlock can build anything you give him the plans to, and build it with percision. In his alternate mode he can pick up up to 25 tons in his clawbucket, and his dozerblade can push aside nearly any physical thing it comes across. His vehicle mode has a two pulse cannons and a high power arc-wielder gun.

In robot mode, Gridlock stands nearly ten meters tall, and can easily lift and manuver up to 15 tons of material. His pulse cannons are mounted to his upper arms, and his arc-weilder cannon makes a lethal close range weapon. While not the fastest Autobot in the planet, his heavy armor in both modes allow him to take a great deal of punishment.

Weaknesses:
Sometimes...it's hard to understand what he's saying - and he tends to drone on and on about the great accomplishments of Mother Russia, way to often. If he payed more attention to his work, rather than the stories stored in his databank, well, maybe he would get more important projects like Hoist and I do. Also, his vehicle mode is very slow..

------ ------ ------

Wideload
Faction: Autobot
Function: Construction
Alternate Mode: Russian Dumptruck
Image

"Energon? Who needs Energon! On mother Cybertron, we drink Vodka!"

Profile:
(From the Datatracks of Gridlock - Autobot Engineer)
'Is great asset to Party! Wideload is good friend, 'is strong as petro-ox, and drunker than two Russian factory workers. On mother Cybertron, he help me build great monuments, and drink many bars dry. He haul many things to and from construction sites. I could not build without Wideload with me. Decepticon neyt know what happen when he get into fight.

Abilities:
Wideload is very strong, can haul many tonnes of debris and equipment. He is almost as heavy armored as me, and very strong in robot mode. He has blacklight laser pistol which temporarily disables Decepticon optics, letting him use laser pistol to finish job.

Weakness:
Wideload is not as strong as me, and is not brightest electron in atom.

Greetings everyone.

I know I'm a bit late to the game and all, but DS contacted me tonight and asked if I was interested in joining in the festivities. I have two characters to bring to the party, and pending acceptance or not, I've decided to give it a go with my two characters, old veterans of previous games. I sincerely hope you find them acceptable...

Name: Hornet
Alligience: Autobot
Function: Light Reconnaisance/Mascot

History: Following the arrival of the Autobots on Earth, the Autobot scientist and engineer Wheeljack began taking an interest in the various humans that lived and aided the Autobots in their constant struggle against the Decepticon menace. A biological life form, one that was not constructed but born, and which grew into maturity rather than being created that way, fascinated the brilliant Autobot engineer, and in his spare time, he began devising a series of complicated computer algorithms that, he hoped, would permit him to replicate the unique behavioral development process that the humans called "childhood" in a transformer.

Nobody else took much of an interest in such an esoteric field of study, save that after a few years of research and work, Wheeljack decided it was time to put his theories to the test. Hand-crafting a miniaturized robotic chasis, and defying the incredulous whisperings of the other Autobots who assumed he had gone mad, Wheeljack's patient development finally produced a small, wiry Autobot imprinted with a spark enfused with Wheeljack's singular algorithms, in essence, a robotic equivelant to a young child. Wheeljack revealed this creation to an astonished group of Autobots as his personal experiment in Transformer psychology, and given the young Autobot's behavior and mannerisms, declared the experiment a complete success. Having used a human airplane heavily as his influence in crafting the vehicle chasis, he named the new Autobot after the aircraft in question, the FA-18 Hornet.

His enthusiasm was not shared by the other Autobots, who were largely horrified to discover that their master weapons engineer had been spending his free time creating what must have been the least combat-effective Transformer in history. Regardless of such concerns however, the Autobots found themselves with no other option than to adopt the little airplane as one of their own. Officially his role was declared to be "Light Reconnaisance", a term largely invented to make Ironhide feel better about having him around. In reality, Hornet quickly became a sort of mascot for the other Autobots, an often-annoying but always pleasant little kid, who needed to be protected from himself as much as from the many threats that exist in this world for any who would call themselves an Autobot.

Profile: Kind, sympathetic, and friendly to a fault, Hornet is the closest thing the Autobots (or for that matter all Transformers) have to a child, or perhaps more accurately to an idealized version of a child as seen by a Transformer Engineer. He thinks of the other Autobots as his extended family and older siblings, and stands in undisguised awe of his larger and infinitely more powerful brethren. Though reasonably smart, Hornet is extremely inexperienced, and relatively careless at the best of times, which, coupled with his light and fragile construction, often results in him getting into extreme danger without even realizing it. He tries his best to prove himself valuable to the rest of the Autobots, and hates being thought of as useless or a nuissance, though often enough his attempts blow up in his face quite spectacularly. Emotional and caring, Hornet is easily scared or upset, but usually bounces back quite quickly from even the worst cataclysms or experiences and tries again in his own inimicable fashion. He genuinely likes Humans and Earth, which he considers to be his home, and wants nothing more than to be allowed to help the others stop the Decepticons, and be accepted as one of the team. He may have his work cut out for him in that regard. Most of the other Autobots find him to be an annoying, cheerful, innocent, pleasant little kid, and many of them have come to his rescue before with guns blazing and blades flying, all the time demanding to know how he managed to get himself in such a scrape AGAIN.

At the same time however, some have begun to notice that there is something not altogether "right" about Hornet. Perhaps it is a part of Wheeljack's programming, or perhaps some strange aspect of the spark bonded to his diminuative frame, but the little Autobot often displays behavior that simply does not make sense in the context of a robot. He often claims to "dream" while shut down for maintenance, or even while wide awake and active, occasionally speaking to people who are not there or for that matter don't even exist. He occasionally makes an offhand comment or asks an innocent question that, in context, can give one pause, almost as if he had knowledge of things he could not possibly know. What's more, despite the fact that Hornet had come as close to death as one can come more times than most Autobots can count, he is still alive, and as his survival certainly cannot be attributed to skill, either Hornet is the luckiest Autobot alive, or there is some factor at work that even Wheeljack does not fully understand. Hornet of course has no idea that anything he does is at all odd, and such moments of oddity are rare and infrequent, but there are some, and it should be mentioned that Optimus is among them, who are starting to wonder if there might not be more to this little Autobot than meets the eye...

Weaknesses: To list Hornet's weaknesses is a lengthy exercise. Suffice to say that while it might be possible to build a less-effective warrior than Hornet, it would not be an easy proposition. Hornet is extremely fragile, and shots or blows that a normal Transformer would shrug off as a mere scratch can badly damage or even kill him. His weapons are reasonably powerful, but with very little experience, he is not at all a match for any single Decepticon. Easily frightened, hurt, or overpowered, Hornet is at extreme risk in any combat situation, though when push comes to shove, he has shown himself to be able to swallow his fear and do his best to help his friends. Indeed, the best that can be said for Hornet is that he tries his best, and every so often, that is enough to make a difference.

Weapons: In humanoid form, Hornet's only weapons are a pair of gatling-style laster blasters built into his wrists. These weapons are not particularly powerful, but have an excellent rate of fire, able to produce more than 4,000 shots per minute. Though useless against armor, these weapons can saturate a target, finding weak spots and causing at least superficial damage.

In vehicular form, Hornet's options are somewhat increased. In addition to his blasters, mounted on his wingtips, Hornet carries four dual-purpose ATA/ATG high explosive missiles capable of delivering a deceptively large blow to any enemy. The missiles are not miniaturized but full-sized Transformer weapons, hence why he can carry only four. His heaviest weapon however is a laser-guided, rocket-propelled, armor-piercing bomb, modelled on the french 'Durandel' anti-runway munitions/ This weapon packs a major punch, and while Hornet can carry only one bomb at any given time, the shaped charge blast from this explosive is easily capable of coring even a heavily armored Decepticon warrior. The trick of course is not getting shot down while delivering it...

Forms: Smaller even than Bumblebee, Hornet stands less than half the height of even an average transformer in humanoid form, and his lightweight construction gives him roughly a third of their normal weight. His paint scheme is light blue with silver trim and sky blue optics, and his robotic form is roughly human in proportion, but posesses airplane wings (with proper joints) instead of arms, and a construction resembling a flight helmet on his head. A folded-up cockpit is built into his chest, and the Autobot logo is proudly stenciled onto both of his wings.

In vehicular form, Hornet is a small, single-engine jet fighter, very similar to the FA-18, but miniaturized and with a few modifications. His colors remain the same in this form. Hornet is extremely fast and manuverable as an airplane, but still suffers from fragility that even other aerialbots lack. Still, he adores all aspects of flying, especially aerobatics, and through practice has become quite nimble while in the air, even if he still occasionally crashes either from enemy fire, weather conditions, or simply not paying enough attention to his surroundings.

The following picture is a decent approximation of Hornet, though of course the color scheme is wrong. It should the idea across though. Bear in mind that Hornet is half the size of a normal Transformer or jet, and as such, cannot carry a full-sized human passanger, but can only fit someone the size of a young child inside himself.

And now for the other...

Name: Reaper
Allegiance: Decepticon (?)
Function: Assassin. Duelist. Close Combattant.

History: Reaper's origins are a complete blank. It is not known when this abomination was brought into being, or where, or for what mad purpose he was crafted. All that is known is that for millions upon millions of years, he has been a thing of terror and blood, a malevolant, unstoppable force, carving a bloody and tumultuous path of destruction and death across a thousand worlds. Since the dawn of the wars between the Autobots and the Decepticons, Reaper has strewn the battlefields with dead, his chrome and steel scythe a banner beneath which Megatron's legions have strode across the galaxy. Some say he was hand-built by Megatron himself in the early days of the first war. Others claim he was an Autobot warrior, defeated and rebuilt before being released to haunt his former allies like a spectre. Whatever his origins, Reaper has been the death of thousands and tens of thousands of Autobots, and nearly as many Decepticons, and those who have fought him and survived to tell the tale can be numbered on one hand. Even the oldest Decepticon knows little about Reaper. For as long as any of them can remember, he has been Megatron's left hand. Part-enforcer, part-assassin, part-commando, Reaper has performed all manner of missions for his master since the instigation of the war efficiently, surgically, and effectively. Beyond this, almost nothing is known of Reaper's past, save that it is filled with death of every sort, and Reaper himself has never confided his secrets to any.

Profile: Similar and yet dis-similar to Black Ice, Reaper serves as the more public of Megatron's two fearsome personal assassins. While Black Ice's very existance is questioned by many, Reaper is an electrifying, commanding, and all too real presence, able to operate with equal capacity from the shadows or in broad daylight. An inexorable, vicious, terrifying force, Reaper is unquestionably one of the most dangerous Transformers alive. His skill at melee combat is the stuff of legends, and his total lack of fear, mercy, or hesitation in action makes him a figure of awe and terror to his enemies as well as his so-called allies, many of whom have also fallen before his blade for the crimes he has deemed them to have comitted. He operates with a cold, professional skill that seems simultaniously dispassionate and furious, as though the raging soul of a berserker were fused to the calculating mind of a serial killer. The combination is, to say the least, lethal.

But for those who have made a habit of studying Reaper's actions and mannerisms, there is an odd method to his madness that becomes apparent. Quite the opposite of his counterpart Black Ice, Reaper, for all his devastating power and unstoppable might, is neither a psychopath nor a sadist, and indeed seems to regard the whole concept of sneaky assassination with something approaching contempt. Given a choice, Reaper prefers to act openly and boldly, an odd characteristic for one designed as an assassin, striking out in pursuit of an objective and daring any to stand in his path. Though a ruthless killer beyond any doubt, Reaper obeys a strange and twisted moral code both in and out of combat that is entirely out of place among Decepticons, but from which he neither deviates, nor permits others to. He generally gives opponents a chance to ready themselves for combat, even at the expense of being able to ambush them by surprise. He neither offers mercy nor asks it, but he does often accept challenges to single combat from Autobots of particular skill or fame, even when doing so places him at great risk. Most oddly of all for a Decepticon, he has complete contempt for the very idea of deception. The breaking of one's word or promises he regards as the behavior of a worthless, craven beast, and he will act appropriately against any, Decepticon or Autobot, who does so in his presence. His own word, even given to an Autobot (on the rare occasion he speaks to one), is as solid as face-hardened steel, and under no circumstances at all will he break it, though one should bear in mind that Reaper places great importance in semantics, and his interpretation of his own word may be different than yours...

Weaknesses: Despite his legendary skill and prowess, as well as his almost supernatural reputation, Reaper is not invulnerable, and indeed has pronounced and specific weaknesses. Though heavily armored, Reaper's vehicular form is not particularly fast, and his lack of long-range weaponry can, theoretically, make him vulnerable to artillery, air, and other long-range attack. Furthermore, Reaper's insistance on following arcane customs when engaging his enemies can allow his foes to manuver him into a position of disadvantage, though it must be said that agreeing to duel Reaper is not a prospect many have emerged from alive.

Weapons: Reaper's primary and signiature weapon is a five-foot long chrome-steel plated scythe blade mounted on his forearm in place of his right hand. Reaper's scythe is as famous as he is, the instrument by which tens of thousands of Autobots and Decepticons have met their deaths. The scythe itself is a work of nano-technological art, a single, gargantuan molecule shaped into a bladed weapon, forged by means unknown to any save Megatron himself, bound together by atomic forces so strong as to make the scythe functionally indestructable by ANY known means. The scythe is mounted on Reaper's arm at a right angle to his arm on a rotating pivot that can spin it to nearly 10,000 revolutions per minute, forming a shield or a buzz-saw. Other than spinning the scythe, Reaper can rotate it instantly to any direction and use it to slice like a sword, stab like a pick-axe, or bludgeon like a hammer in a single fluid motion. The power and precision of these strikes is awe-inspiring to behold.

Reaper's other weapon, and the only one available to him in vehicular form, is a six-barelled heavy grenade launcher clasped in humanoid form around his left forearm, and mounted on his roof as a vehicle. The launcher is medium-close range, but fires very powerful explosive projectiles packed with all manner of lethal payloads. Reaper typically carries a mix of different grenades specifically prepared for what he expects to encounter on a given mission.

Forms: Reaper is a nightmare given life, a tall, imposing Decepticon figure whose very appearance can send entire enemy units fleeing the battlefield. His humanoid form is pitch black, and encased in heavy plated armor like a midieval knight from deepest recesses of Hell. His armor is a special composite material that absorbs both light and radio waves of any sort, making him completely undetectable by radar, and practically invisible against a dark background. A similarly-black cloak flows from his shoulders and back, and serves as a sound-dampener, enabling Reaper to move completely silently when he wishes. His feet are equipped with powerful "jump charges", small explosive rocket boosters that enable him to suddenly lunge forward a great distance at high speed, and close to lethal range on an unsuspecting opponent. The only spots of color on Reaper's form are the silver-chrome scythe he has instead of a right hand, and his optics, which pulse a deep crimson red, the color of human blood.

In vehicle mode, Reaper is a heavily-build classical black hearse, very similar to the one shown below. Though armored and tough, Reaper is not overly fond of his vehicle mode, and uses it merely as a means to get from point A to B efficiently. His grenade launcher is mounted on the roof of the vehicle in this form, and his headlights are the same blood red color as his optics.

Asking for Megatron's fusion cannon is more reasonable than that wank scythe.

suggestion Havoc: Shift the giant singular molecule of the scythe, to a simply being built from neutronium - it'll give it a similar durability and power, without being excessively esoteric in nature.

Neutronium or whatever other material you like is perfectly fine. I could care less what the thing is made of, but I seriously fail to see how it is anything close to the same thing as asking for Megatron's fusion cannon. It's a melee weapon, no more or less powerful than any other melee weapon out there. The only reason I insisted on its unusual construction was so that it would not shatter instantly on contact with one of the energy blades that dozens of Autobots and Decepticons use all the time. The only difference is that instead of being made of energy, it is made of metal. It cannot vaporize people (as Megatron's cannon can), nor shoot, nor be used to lay waste to cities (at least not without a lot of effort). It's a scythe. The reputation comes from its age and its wielder.

It's indestructable, which is wank. It's also a shield, which is wank. If there were indestructable materials, Megatron would be using them as armour.

You can't make a neutronium weapon (hint: neutronium only exists in insane gravitational fields) and even if you could you would need to be beyond insanely strong to wield it.

Big ass and nasty melee weapons, energized or otherwise, have plenty of precedent in Transformers. They are consistent, in universe. Indestructable single atom ridiculousness is not.

Allow this piece of shit and I am gone.

Also I love your fucking weakness. No long range weapons. But super stealth, super speed, heavy armour, and oh wait, your alt mode has long range weapons. Oops.

All right, following a lengthy discussion with many people regarding the nature of this little game, it appears I was in error as to the nature of the power level of this game. The original game these characters are drawn from is the same one Black Ice and Chimera hail from, and in that game, Reaper is roughly mid-range in terms of power. Obviously the prevailing power level here is much lower than I thought, and given that, Reaper is simply too much for these circumstances. Accordingly, as I'm still not sure how to properly alter him to match this game, I'm simply going to withdraw him from consideration as a PC. Once I work out what the heck to do with him, perhaps he will be suitable as one of DS' NPCs, but I leave that to his judgment.

So... given that, I'd now like to ask if there are any objections to Hornet. I had this dicsussion already with some of you, but Cynical Cat (and others) have not yet weighed in on him and I'd like to ensure there's no hangups there before proceeding.
