The barrel bounced off the werewolf's fangs and upper jaw, resulting in the blast merely taking off a chunk of fur and flesh from the lupine's muzzle. The lupine howled and backhanded Marcus over the car, before turning to meet Zayne's charge.

When the lupine turned to meet him, he shifted course, veering past the lupine's reach and leaping over the car to put it between him and the beast.

No way in hell was he going into that head-on.

The lupine leapt over the car, landing by Marcus and Zayne with claw's outstretched and swinging.

Lupines typically fought in packs. Now, it faced such an enemy, even if this pack consisted of a fool who had blown his cover and... whatever the other was. He ducked under the swing and aimed a claw strike of his own into the lupine's armpit, aiming to tear from there down his opponent's side.

Merry tries again to calm the were-creature's passions. Maybe it would find the fight not worth the risk of injury if the need to fill its hate evaporated... maybe.
The lupine leapt over the car, landing by Marcus and Zayne with claw's outstretched and swinging.
And maybe I'm delusional for thinking I have a chance in hell.

He arms the gun and does his best to hide within the car without giving up a view of the events, ready to open a door and bolt if need be.

Marcus laid on the ground. One more shot, had to use it right. The creature was facing himself and whoever the fuck this was. He called upon the shadows once more, tendrils flew out of the ground, detaining the creatures arms as best they could. Then he stuck the barrel of the weapon into the creatures chest and pulled the trigger.

The lupine howled as Zayne tore off a strip of its hide. Tendrils of darkness coiled around the lupine as it swung at the Gangrel, slowing him and allowing the vampire to dodge. As the lupine shredded the obstructions Marcus fired. Gore fountained back from the wound as the vampire blew out a good chunk of the werewolf's ribcage and most of its lungs. It kicked the Lasombra back into his car with enough force to break eight ribs and smash the broken bone deep into his flesh. Hacking up blood but still standing, it turned on Zayne.

Zayne dove for the ground, shifting as he went and landing on his paws, darting between the lupine's legs in an attempt to sink his fangs into the garou's vulnerable achilles tendon.

Marcus spit up blood. Fucking creature, he'd heal later, now there were more important things to do. His eyes watched the other vampire. A gangrel, a powerful gangrel. This was good, at least for now. Unless this one decided he was on his turf as well.

Marcus leaned back and tore the passenger door off the hinges, immediately hurling it like a discus towards the creature.

As Zayne darted for the Lupine's legs, the werewolf seized the wolf by the scruff of his neck and bashed him against the side of the car.

The werewolf staggered under the impact of the improvised missle, but did not seem to be seriously injured by it. The wound on its snout had already healed.

Shifting again, he grasped the garou's arm and swung his whole body, slamming his bootheels into the garou's already-wounded side.

The roar of the shotgun followed by the smell of gore was encouraging. He shifted his position and aimed just below the beast's head, at the neck where muscles made a thicker target; an easier shot than the head. The car jolted when Marcus slammed into it, but he retrained his aim, taking care to wait for the right moment. As the beast turned away to face the new comer he thought he found the moment--but Marcus chose that time to tear off the door in front of him. He swore, almost ruined his shot.

He shifts to the side, finds his mark again and waits for a perfectly clear shot, anticipating the new impact as the new-comer slams into the car. Believing he has found his moment, he fires, aimed now at the throat.

Marcus ran forward as the shot went off behind him, ducking low so as to keep the car door between himself and any fangs. He reached his arm forward into the hole aiming to find the spine of this creature and return the favor it did to him by tearing it in two.

The lupine snarled and grabbed Zayne, robbing his kick of most of its power. The werewolf shook him like a leaf with one hand while raising its other claw to strike. Then the bullet took it in the neck. Blood splattered from the wound and then slowed to a trickle. But it was enough. The lupine's strike was feeble, its claws merely slicing through skin and muscle on Zayne's chest. He dropped the vampire and staggered back.

Unfornately, he dropped Zayne right in Marcus's path, causing the vampire to stumble. Marcus's crouched position also exaserbated the Lupine's height advantage. The werewolf clubbed the vampire on the top of the skull, knocking him to the ground.

He kicked his heels back as he fell, slamming them into the car and launching himself forward, fangs bared, lunging for the succulent throat of the lupine that was just inviting him to tear it out.

Zayne got a face full of claw for his efforts as he was smashed to the ground. The impact nearly snapped his neck, but unlike Marcus he was fortunate enough to keep his jaw relatively intacts (only broken in two places).

He landed well, rolling with the impact and slapping the ground, before launching himself back to his feet, bloody face turned toward the lupine as he crouched low, claws at ready. He snarled a fresh challenge, though with the damage to his jaw, it came out rather burbled.

His face beamed from the successful shot. The patterns hadn't quite abandoned him, they just might give him the strength to survive this.

With confidence competing on even footing with desperation he takes aim again, this time for the beast's ugly head. It would be harder, but at this point there was nothing he couldn't do. Just wait for the moment.

Found it. He fires.

The bullet glaces off the lupine's stone hard skull, but does ripe a trail of destruction along its head and removes a chunck of its ear. The lupine springs forward, claws outstretched.

Marcus lay infront of the Lupine, he spent a little blood to heal from his wounds, make sure he could still move enough. Then more went into his strength. He was going to be very hungry after this fight. But better hungry than dead. From his vantage point on the ground he had a perfect shot at the creatures knee cap. Accounting for the jump he made a grab for calf and thigh, hoping to pull the limb off completely.

Time slowed down. Glistening fangs and bloody talons reached for him. All pain was forgotten, all existance pivoted around a single point.

One strike. A motion like ballet. An attempt to weave around the whirling talons of death and plunge a clawed hand directly into the lupine's chest, to bury them into the mighty heart of the beast that faced him.

Now.

He blurred into motion.

Marcus had no chance of overpowering the lupine. His move was folly. He seized the limb and pulled, aborting the lupine's leap. With its other leg, it stomped on the Lasombra's chest, driving sharps of his ribs into his flesh and penetrating his heart. And then Zayne hit the distracted werewolf.

Blood flew as the Gangrel's claws tore at the werewolf's chest. It's hide was like armour. Zayne managed to dig deep before the beast tossed seized his shoulder and tossed him back into the car.

Glass smashed and the frame of the car buckled where he slammed into it. He pushed off, rolling across the top, arresting his motion just before he fell off the other side and slithering down to stand on the hood, readying himself for another attack.

Marcus cut off a scream as his chest caved in. His Beast was hanging around the edges. But this would get him killed now. He fought it back for now. Strategy was needed, not bloodlust. Rolling to the side Marcus grabbed his disgarded sotgun, empty as it was it would still be of use. He got to his knees.
