NYTimes

[quote]The youngest son of Kim Jong-il, North Korea’s reclusive leader, has been promoted to a military general, that country’s official Korean Central News Agency reported early Tuesday, the clearest sign yet that he is in line to succeed his father as the country’s leader.

A brief dispatch by KCNA said the son, Kim Jong-un, and five others had been made generals in the Korea People’s Army. It was the first time that KCNA or any North Korean news outlet had mentioned the son, who is either 27 or 28, by name.

“This promotion of Kim Jong-un to four-star general carries a lot of weight in North Korea, and it has the connotation of very senior ‘top brass,’ â€

Is he any better than the current Glorious Leader?
Never shall innocent blood be shed, yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river.

The three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeful striking hammer of god.

That would be a "no" then...
Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair...

Havoc: "So basically if you side against him, he summons Cthulu."
Hotfoot: "Yes, which is reasonable."

Well Kimmy from what I know was educated in the communist block (China I think) while this kid has a western education. That doesn't really mean much, half the dictators on this planet are educated in the west, it's where all the really good schools are.

Does experience with capitalist states and being educated in a liberal (compared to North Korea) translate to a less bastard style of leadership? Time will tell for sure. But I wouldn't bet on an outbreak of warm fuzzies.
