At this point, I'm waiting for Fehl to do his "running downstairs looking all kinds of irritated at the noisy interruption" kind of thing.

heh.

Wait... wait... you're waiting for Fehl, the character you control, to do something in response to a stimulus, noisy interruption, that has already really occurred? Why aren't you having him do that?

Call it a vague hope I don't get interrupted before work ends tonight.

For being a slow day, it sure got random fast.

Ah. One of those scenarios. Well, in any case the way things are going right now Garxon won't be revealed tonight anyway, but tomorrow should get interesting.

There we go - more concise that I'd wanted, but I've had to edit it between random things breaking or dying.

And I almost wrote in Hekka alongside him, but she's still your NPC.

He has a horde? Man, I'm glad she took it away; we've got enough of those on the part of the barbarians from my understanding.

Sort of. Garxon is on the way towards becoming a half-dragon (red) but he's not there yet, if that gives you enough of a clue. He's also got some demonic heritage.

'on the way to becoming'?

That's ominous. Well, time to see what I can see.

Take a wild guess what song I first heard today

Incidentally, to judge your reactions, Garxon got a 30 on his Perform (sing) check.

And what happens when somebody gets a 30 on performing a war chant? The War golem has no choice but to join in.

you only just NOW heard that?!

Shit, I've been singing that one for over a DECADE! I was about to ask you if Nitram sent you the link to it.  I've got the original recording on Pheonix's "Keepers of the Flame" tape, but I like the one with bagpipes better.

No, a certain forum has a "Good marching music thread" up and that got posted. Of course, right now my primary problem is that everything else feels so much less awesome.

It's got that effect on people, yes. That's one reason why the SCA loves it.

It was an above average roll, but it wasn't spectacular. Which is the scary thing because Garxon is like a combat monster fused with the ability to actually talk to people. He's not optmised for either, but he's in a few areas damned good at what he does. Unfortunately, what he does is destroy things and rile others up to destroy things. Of course, if you treat him somewhat like Ciaphas Cain treats Sororitas (point him at something you want burned to the ground, shout, "It'll be fun!" and let him go) he can be an agent for good. He just doesn't care about good or evil, he just wants to have fun, where his definition of fun involves copious amounts of sex, booze, singing, and seige engines.

You know, I actually am beginning to like this guy. Many a grand spectacle or adventure could be started with six magic words..."You know what would be awesome?"

And due to how Fehl is awakening (and he has, now - much to my delight), I'd say he's tap-dancing on the edge between Chaotic Good and Chaotic Neutral. The thing that saves him is that he usually thinks before he leaps.

Quaking so badly that they don't even notice an armored warpriest walking up and addressing them?

There's a lot of crashing and clattering going on in the other direction, and I was already mostly done that post when you posted. It wasn't that they didn't hear, it was that they're focusing all of their attention in the other direction.

Now don't make me handwave any more than I have to!

This is a scene that doesn't sit overly well with him, though he's handling it better than a lot of Cuthbert's clerics might.

Oh, I know it doesn't sit well with a cleric of St. Cuthbert to have a drunken tiefling throwing herself at him. Why do you think its happening?

Plus you know, he did willing walk into a bar of ill reput during what is basically a frat boy kegger.
