Cassie walks out of the room, determined to shake off these blues and make her new home hers. She sees Wright and suppresses the chill that goes down her spine.

"Wright?" The voice almost whispers behind him in melodic question. "Are you okay?" Somehow it seems to waft over the music and crowd.

He ignored her, stomping into his office. Inside, slamming noises could be heard as heavy objects were thrown around. Like desks and file cabinets.

It would be easy to go down to the crowd of emptiness, but this guy put a roof over her head, gave her a job, and much more.

She knocks on the door to the office, one hand on the doorknob. "Wright?" and CRASH, she jumps back slightly as she feels a collision with the wall towards the door.

The office is totally destroyed. Pieces and fragments of furniture remain. A tornado would have done damage on this scale.

He looks at her, an insane gleam in his eyes. "I said... go the fuck away." His voice is dangerously low, his hands curled like claws.

She looks around, her eyes widened and her mouth opens. She swallows again, and takes a deep breath in. "Wright. This isn't right. You aren't well. Let me help you." She begins to walk towards him, saying a quiet prayer.

Marcus had stayed behind. Not in the mood for the bloodshed. He'd been a fool. He'd made a great mistake. He'd watched the party go underway, not really watching, and threatening any who came near. Occasionally he'd make one of the partiers do something foolish and suicidal in an attempt to amuse himself. Needless to say near the edges of the party were many who were nuring wounds. As the woman he'd seen earlier was following Wright he stepped in behind her.

"Now would be a good time to leave girl." Marcus wasn't about to put himself between Wright and the girl, but he had the Machete out. "As for you. Calm down, or did the slaughter get you too riled up?"

She shakes her head. Her voice is trembling. She is frightened, but she means what she says. "Im not leaving him like this."

He sized up Marcus and the machete, a hint of sanity returning to his eyes. "Why the fuck do you care?" he asked Marcus. The unspoken context would be obvious to the other vampire... why do you care if I tear her head off?

Marcus shrugged. "If you can think of a reason why she got ripped in two in your office. Then by all means go for it. No blood on my hands."

She looks between Marcus and Wright. The words are not lost on her. She looks at Wright, her eyes questioning softly, sadly. "Wright? What have you done?" Is he a serial killer?

Marcus sighed. "And your business will come crashing down around your ears. Hell, thes people are already freaked out from the firefight outside. Now if you tear this girls head off in here, how many do you think will come back?"

Jason sat on the roof. He heard some yelling and other things going about and honestly didn't care. Wright would in all honesty despite his virtues make a lousy hunter, hunters did not fling their emotions about. Controled hunters fed, uncontroled ones straved.

He pushed that aside. And began to think, Anna had been better at people. He never even seen a city before now. What would Anna say to do? He sank into deep thought... A soft voice in French echoed in memory.

When things go wrong for people, they do one of two things, they hide or they go to their leaders. Because people don't want to deal with their problems they want someone else to or to avoid them. Figure out what kinda person you're dealing with and there you go...

Damn. The prey either found a deep hole or went running to Wrights foe. Either way they should find out now and didn't have time for games. He started to pick a way down, Wright had to be slapped into sanity and shit needed to move... Now.

"MOTHERFUCKER!" he bellowed suddenly, turning around to punch a hole in the wall. Sheet rock that wouldn't have stood up to a normal human of course didn't impede him either. He shook his head, calming visibly.

"I warned that cocksucking Mick," he said quietly.

She gasps audibly at the sound the fist makes at the wall. She has not been jumpy thus far, but that sound was enough to shatter her nerves. She backs against the wall.

Jason walked in and looked around. He sniffed.

"The prey is either holed up or ran to his boss. If he's hid, fine, who cares, we find him sooner or later and he doesn't talk in a hole of his own digging, he wants to stay hid after all. If he went to his boss he blabbed everything, make the big man take care of it. If so we go take him. Now, cannot afford not to. Do niether and we should leave town." Jason leaned in and stared with ice cold dead eyes at wright.

"Which is it? We have little time for games." He asked.

She remains quiet and, although in plain site, she has faded to blend in with the woodwork. If remembered, maybe her wide eyes will make them think she is too lost to understand. She understands, to an extent, everything. All within a context. Her benefactor is an insane serial killer, who is headed to war.

"Oh? And where will we go? Tell me, please. And who will we take out, and how many guards is he gonna have, and what kind of weaponry are they gonna have, and what are the chances we'll be able to cover for something like that well enough to not piss everyone off? Come on brat, tell me."
