Blast plopped down in his chair gluzzling his 3rd cup of coffee. Caffine is my friend he thought to himself as he finished the cup and set it on the table and took a look around. No Tarot so far, day was looking better already.

"What in the hell is she doing here?" he demanded more than asked

"I was tortured because of her"

Anger was literally palpable, even to non-empaths, it radiated from him in waves. Partially because his anger was causing the temperature to rise by a few degrees in the room.

The Nova stretched as he observed the group. "Everyone but Tarot. He's not even on the same continent, from the spatial ripple he creates."

Saibot shrugged slightly, smirking beneath his helmet.

"Yeah, you would to if you lived with Argent...." he said almost slyly, but not wanting to give Legacies the old "wink wink nudge nudge" with his elbow.

The blush that rose to Argent's cheeks was unnecessary, since the empathic wave of embarrassment told the story far more clearly before she managed to squelch it.

That stopped any embarrassment, as she recognized the Crocodillian. "You are alive, are you not? Can you say the same of the woman you attacked?" she stated bluntly.

That might be needed for Saibot, she thought to herself. It was nice to see that the younger teleporter stood up for her, tho.

The lips on the silver figure seemed to smile for a moment at both Saibot and Argent's reaction. There was a slight twitch as Avatar entered though. Hostilities could be imminent. The silver figure stepped between the two.

"Alliances have shifted and changed many times already young crocodile. The female did not know what fate you were being led to. Both of you were in the wrong, you for killing unneccesarily and her for leaving you to an undetermined fate."

It was ... touching.. how all the rest of the group stood up for her. IT was a pity that Argent was having to subtly calm Saibot down, to ratchet his anger and protectiveness down to a more manageable level before he attacked Avatar, else she'd have once again manipulated the crocodillian's emotions to ease the tension. As it was, she could feel Saibot felt everyone but herself and Legacies were out to get them. While nice to feel protected, it was also a pain when trying to keep the bloodshed to a minimum.

Thus, Argent's answer was once again blunt and to the point. "I was hired to cause a scene, and told to capture Ultimates agents when you responded. I was not told what would be done to you once captured. Thus, I was going for Non-Lethal damage... not exploding a woman's lungs, then summoning bees to sting her to death." She was not good at holding back her anger... especially when she was trying to absorb Saibot's rage as well. "Did you know she was allergic to bees?"

To those with non-normal sight, Gravitas was... Strange. To empathics, his arrogance was almost overshadowed by soft compassion, yet under both was a roiling sadness, as if he was watching a train coming at himself and had resolved to it. To Blast's growing energy-sight, it was almost as if he didn't have an energy field.. Until the view was adjusted, and his 'field' seamlessly fused with the universe itself, connecting him to gravity itself.

The calm aura around Legacies ceased. Spikes grew into horrendous shapes, Legacies jaw seemed to unhinge and drop, releasing a slavering tongue as tendrils wrapped around the room, sticking to the cieling and floors.

"The both of you shall cease this tiring bickering or we shall cease it for you!"

Red eyes glared between Argent and Avatar.

At somewhere near the speed of thought tendrils lashed out and wrapped around Avatar's legs as he finished talking. A second set of tendrils lashed out to wrap around his mouth. "If you would be quiet we could explain. Now then..."

The demonic looking visage turned to face Argent, almost seeming to beg her to say a word out of turn.

Argent was just starting to unravel the sudden outburst of wild emotions from Legacies when he moved with blinding speed to shut Avatar up. The blank silver face turned her way with a large toothy grin, large enough to swallow her head whole.

Empathy does not make you a leader... it makes you a follower of those with stronger wills and emotions. Living on the streets teaches you when to stand up and fight, and when it's time to hide from the bigdawgs. Legacies was a BigDawg.

Argent did not say another word. One hand touched Saibot's sword arm, gently attempting to guide his hand away from his weapon and to a more neutral position such as around her waist for comfort/protection from Legacies.

As much as Saibot wanted to skin Avatar alive, there was a time and place for it.
