Holden pulled out a pocket watch and investigated the time.
He tipped his head to a side and looked to Rose. "Yes, lets." He stood, fixed his shirt and offered his coat to his companion. I think we'll be able to move about too unhindered. Perhaps we can find some back ways, for I know where the Lasombra lairs and have left the car there as...insurance."
He opened the door for her in his gentlemanly manner.

Zayne's gaze fell upon a seen of carnage. Blood splattered the tracks and the side of a box car here. It smelled too rich and strong to be the blood of mortals.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Rosemary followed, a bit apprehensive about where they were going. However, one thing she is sure of. Holden and her have struck an alliance, and are securing a domain. Does she know Holden's motives? Power, probably. But it doesn't matter. The first step to independance or securing her own foothold in any arena, even within the shadows, is to learn. Knowledge is the key to their survival. Rosemary knows Mary will stew on that, preferring death than to hang from another's coattails. But Mary is not running the show. Rosemary is, and, as a result, soon they will have a "home", a haven.

Holden leads her down the street, looking over to her. "Have you manifested the ability to move unseen yet?" Not really expecting, but awfully curious. "Some are able to quickly pick up the practical applications of Obfuscation as well as other physical Disciplines. It just comes naturally to those of the blood."
He takes a few of the smaller streets as he takes her to Marcus' lair to retrieve the car.

"If I stand really still, I feel like the shadows cover me. Cassie and Mary feel safe there." Rosemary says with practicality. Instinctively, she memorizes the landmarks and scents as a way to return to this place if it is ever needed.

"Mm. Not one of the Disciplines I was gifted with, so you'll find no help from me to further that. Unfortunate."
Turn here, straight there, down this alley with the neon sign that says "D ner."
"We as a race find comfort in the shadows. The Lasombra are able to make them behave as they desire. Some say it's their black hearts. I dunno. I think if Marcus hadn't turned his back on his clan, he'd have had more success against that werewolf."

He padded about in wolf form, scenting at the blood. His tongue flicked down to take a sampling tastes, noting the varieties and flavors.

"Neither do I to be honest. At any rate, I have things to which I must attend. If ever you need a place to stay, I have a room away from the sun and would ber happy to help you if the need presents itself."The Silence and I wrote:Nathaniel looked deep into the creature's aura as he said this, hunting for signs of the lie he expected to find. Coming up short he was faced with the possibility this one was speaking truthfully. A disturbing thought for him, but not so much as the whisper he tried to ignore:Comrade Tortoise wrote:"Heh" the priest chuckled
"I was a man of God in life, and I try to be in death. Though, there are certain realities ne cannot excape, such as the need to feed. So... I take a more.. aggressive approach to doing the lord's work."
Watch the hypocrite and learn. See any parallels?
He shivered, very slightly. And then his mind was calm.
"I wouldn't know; I left without trying to find news. I don't care for the place.""Something very... special... ust be going on for them not to care of a lycanthrope stalking the city..." he said, musing to himself on what it could be.
"The only thing that could be more important than that are political matters... I dont associate uch with kindred society WHich kindred ws attacked, and is there any news from Elysium I should know about?"
He wrote down his address and gave it to Nathaniel

Nathaniel nods slightly in general agreement to their mutual dislike of Elysium, and seems receptive to the offer, though non-commital. He accepts the address thoughtfully; unsure what the angle was--or if there was one. Fascinating.Comrade Tortoise wrote:"Neither do I to be honest. At any rate, I have things to which I must attend. "The same to you padre. And, perhaps you will see me again.""Have a good night my friend"
He stood there a moment, lost in his thoughts, before the hunger within reminded him of more pressing needs. He would have to feed soon. Disgusting thought, that one, but it could wait. Time to finish this travesty of a job hunt. He turned on his heel and continued into the night, increasing his stride to make up for lost time.

Some time later he arrives at the address Marcus had given him. A house. Nice too. Might be Marcus' own. The thought a lasombra--even an antritribue--might be his employer gives him some small shivers.
<One way to find out.>
He approaches and makes use of the door knocker, and waits.

Marcus hears a knock. What, did that moron Wright forget how to get in? With a curse he made his way back down the stairs, almost falling a few times as he made his way down them. Eventually he reached the door and openned the lock, dragging himself away he grabbed a scarf and put it over his face. "Come on in."

It took time but Nathaniel started hearing shuffling movements, as if whoever it was was very sleepy, and at the lock-shifting Nathaniel drops his enhanced senses for normal conversation.
Hearing the invitation he opens the latch and swings the door open smoothly. It was indeed Marcus inside, and he was on the floor. That plus the scarf suggested to him he was still recovering. With a fair bit to go.
"I'm sorry if I am disturbing you Marcus, I'm here to follow up on a job you mentioned to me the other night, at Elysium."
That was about when he noticed the body on the couch. The beast in him raged for a moment, longing for the taste of the blood he needed. That passed soon, followed by surprise and a touch of righteous disgust. Almost before you could blink his eyes were back to normal and he gave no outwardly thoughts to the scene.

Marcus nodded. "Yes, a job. At the moment I am rather, indesposed, however in that way I could use your assistance until such a time where we could move on to the job I discussed." Marcus did not trust this new comer to do what he needed without Marcus or Wright being there.

"...right. Blood." He took a deep breath. "Would the...kine...end up like that one?" He indicates the body. "If so I would rather not participate. In fact I'd have to flat out refuse."Charon wrote:Marcus watched the other kindred. Judging his reactions. "I will need sustinence to heal myself."
"Pesky morals and all" He adds dryly.
"I can help you, but you understand I don't want to see needless deaths." He shrugs and smiles slightly under the mask, almost as if his situation was funny to him in an academic way.

Marcus narrowed his eyes. A kindred that still adhered to the foolish humanity? The thought was quickly parished. When he spoke it was very slurred and hard to understand "M' thirt wa grea, hat is why sh deed." Marcus would swallow his pride for now. Healing was more important. The sudden slur of the guy's speach was odd, but at least he looked like he wouldn't be able to enforce any unwanted killing. His next words made him feel a little dirty, but he had been a vampire too long to avoid everything unpleasant about it, this wasn't too bad in the grand scale of things.Charon wrote:When he spoke it was very slurred and hard to understand "M' thirt wa grea, hat is why sh deed." "Alright, I'll see what I can do. Sit tight, I don't know how long this'll take."
He turnes around and closes the door behind him. Enhancing his senses again he goes out for the hunt. A couple of young men would be perfect, all hormones no brain. Just what he could deal with.
Some searching was needed but his sweetly delivered promises of a great party flowing with booze and whores, backed up by what powers of the blood he had to increase their desires proved too much for two young men. Ready to burst with desire they happily followed him to Marcus' home, no clue what waited for them.
<Shame, shame. You tricked them. Better to force them, be honest about it.>
Ah well, nothing for it now, the deed is done. He knocked again, and let himself in after a moment, to give Marcus time to jump them if or whatever. Sadly he probably had one more task here: it would fall on him to close the door and restrain the second guy until Marcus could get to him.
"Go on in, the party's in the back rooms and the basement." He gracefully gestures inwardly with his hand.

Broken Stick stalked through the trainyard, unnoticed by mortal eyes. This penance was well worth the price. Most Nosferatu were content to be information traders, second rate players and middle men hanging on at the peripherary of power. Not Broken Stick. Once he had been a prince and he remembered he carried the lessons of life into death. In the end all power is built on violence. A few nights scuttling around in the trainyards was a small price to pay to put the fear of him in all the Kindred he dealt with, for if he was willing to bring violence into Elysium what would he do outside its halls?
He ruled a shadow kingdom of information gatherers with an unholy fist. From the outside it seemed placid enough, but the Nosferatu knew that to defy him was to die alone in the dark. The primogen had a good idea of how many Kindred, Nosferatu or otherwise, he had slain but there was no evidence and Chicago's balance of power meant that he never lacked from those willing to trade favors and secrets. Besides, most of those he killed were meddlers or fools who the elders were well rid off.
That foreign bitch was brain dead. What use politics indeed. The stupidity of that statement transcended Brujah brutishness and Gangrel beastiality. Broken Stick's rage simmered and grew as he prowled passed empty box cars. Another figure was shadowing is trail. The tracker had no problem keeping up with the Nosferatu and possessed shrouding powers of his own. As he stalked the primogen, he extended his powers and prodded Broken Stick's beast closer and closer to frenzy.

The other kindreds assistance was doubtfully going to be needed. Marcus quickly grabbed one mans ankle and tore it, a tentacle heaving a bread roller swung and smacked into the back of the head of the second kine. Both of the feed bags went down, the first of them screaming in pain and horror until the bread roller silenced him.
Marcus quickly put something over the human's bleeding ankle to stop the bleeding. In reality this was just to keep even more blood from pouring out into his home which was already a mess. But for the other, foolish, kindred...
"Need, to stop the bleeding, don't want him to lose too much blood after all."
Right, like either of these men were coming out of this building anything other than body bags.
"Let's get them to the basement. I can't use any more blood tonight but tomorrow it will be useful. They won't remember any of this."

Well that shadowy tentacle thing was unexpected. At least he didn't have to restrain the guy. The blood on the floor hit his enhanced senses like the bread roller had hit the men, the Beast roared in hunger. It needed to be fed, NOW! Nathaniel couldn't help but to lick his lips, let his fangs out a little. NO! Must not, give, in. He felt weak, staggered slightly and had to sit down--non too gracefully.
(Weakly, whispered like before) I can feel your fear. (Stronger, gloating) I am content to wait, you won't last long now, Nathaniel, and soon I will come out to play.
He shivered and rubbed his Mask absentmindedly for a moment before looking away from the men, from the blood. He had heard something... about--nah it's gone.
He looked at Marcus, still on the floor. He had said something too, hadn't he? Must have been too distracted. He pulled his hand away from his Mask, tried to sit up a little.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
