Note: Crankcase's idea of a vacation is a private lab cut off from interruptions so he can focus on his work. Interruptions like top secret missions and overeager soldier-bots who constantly need repair work...

I'm talking about the one whose head he disintegrated with 30 laser bolts to the cranial unit BEFORE Shellshock killed the other one...

I hate you all so much.

Why you all insisted on blaming Hornet for matters he clearly was not at fault in is beyond me. See what terrible slanders I am subjected to!

I would like to point out, Hornet did Bomb Breakout once.

yes, he already admitted to that, and apologized in this thread for it.

It was a damn good hit, you have to admit. It got you and everyone around you in one blow.

I liked playing the GalSpan side in Tachyon: The Fringe, because they had the guided missiles. But nobody can say that they weren't a murderous bunch of greedy corporate assholes, they totally were. This is why they are also fun to blow up! ^-^

Really though, there's no bad way to play Tachyon: The Fringe, because you're Bruce Campbell and that alone is awesome.

Yeah, even using the cheat codes was worth it just to hear Bruce Campbell mocking you over it.

Reread Lys' post, Havoc.

Blastcap never mentioned being on the station, nor did she mention she had friends there. I also think she's leading up to being the one to kill GalSpan. Carefully timed explosions are Blastcap's trick, not Cavalier's.

Blastcap said that she had three comrades on the station who were killed in the fall of the station, which is what Cavalier was responding to. And Cavalier never said that Blastcap was on the station. He has no idea if she was or not.

Lys, if you were trying to lead towards you being the one to kill Galspan's directors, then I'm happy to edit that section out of my post.

I'm sorry, I thought it had been evident that it was Blastcap that blew GalSpan to kingdom come. As LadyTever says, making a gigantic explosion look like an accident is a demolitons expert's trick. Blastcap went directly after her employers because she knew who was ultimately responsible, thus Cavalier was beaten to the punch there. After doing the job she was much surprised to hear that someone had annihilated the Black Sun Pirates, just as I'm sure Cavalier was shocked to see GalSpan's leadership had all died in an accident.

Blastcap did, however, tell Cavalier that she had friends on the station. Specifically, "three comrades of mine died on the station itself." That is her excuse for why she cares, friends of her died.

Finally, I earlier said that the death toll was below seven figures. The means <10 million.

EDIT - Actually, thinking about it, for such a disaster the exact death toll would be unknown. It's entirely likely that the official figure is "Between 9 and 13 million". It seems entirely in character for Cavalier to take the high figure and Blastcap the low figure.

I must not have been thinking clearly then. Let me make the appropriate edits.

Thank you, I'll get to writing a reply.

You know, I have to feel sorry for Cavalier, he's been having a very bad week.

I'm thinking the best part will be a nuclear weapon right to the Laser Core.

But then, I'm morbid.

So, Cavalier will be powered by thermonuclear rage and hate?

Nah, that's too close to real life.

You're only saying that because your character is already outside the blast radius.
