#1 Grandpa is dead

Post by Comrade Tortoise »

As of approximately 9 PM tonight (my time) My Grandfather Melvin Stuck died from complications relating to a massive stroke. Even had he "survived" the stroke, he was essentially in a vegetative state. A small solace is that his death spared my grandmother of the burden of deciding whether or not take to take him off life support.

He is survived by his wife Florence Stuck, his six children, and thirteen grandchildren. He lived a long, good life and will be sorely missed.

My condolences for your loss. I went through this some years ago, I know it is not an easy thing to experience. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Best wishes.

I am deeply sorry for your lost my friend. I know what it's like to lose a grandparent. From the stories you told of him he sounded like quiet a guy and the world is poorer for his passing.

Sorry to hear that Ben.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

You have my sympathies, especially since from your description on SDN you were close to your grandfather up until the end.
