There's already 13 stripes on the flag. That boat has rather sailed.

I'm sensing some self-loathing due to this proximity issue. Don't hate yourself for being closer to Los Angeles. It's only your fault if you stay there.
Closer in physical proximity, yes. Closer in mental proximity, no. And just because you Sacramentans are incapable of visualizing a border that doesn't run a straight line, doesn't mean we can't come up with one.

That said, if you want to join the cool kids' table, we will graciously permit you all to apply for admission.

On another thought, if the US got 52 states, then playing cards would get yet another theme to use. And hey, consumer sales help adoption of an idea by repetition, right?

Well, that's mainly because we have actual land and territory to expand with. Don't get mad just because your city doesn't.

Sorry, hanging out with kids is a little creepy when you're an adult. I appreciate the sentiment intended however, and toast it solemnly with a beer.

Well the next time it hits 108 in Sacramento, I'll be sure to think of you from out here, where we tragically do not have enough room to fulfill you guys' ongoing quest to become Los Angeles in the Central Valley.

I'm inside most of the day, so I'm fine with that. You still have Haight.
