For those not in the know, Shattered Union is a turn-based strategy game centered around a second American Civil War. Quite fun.
So, have any of you bastards bought this thing yet? I highly recommend it, especially considering the price (about $30 for the PC version, $40 for the Xbox). Closest comparison I can make is it's a lot less cartoonish version of Advance Wars, in that's it's easy to pick up and addictive as hell.
Besides, it gave me a way and an excuse to nuke Omaha, and that's always been a dream of mine. :P

I've started looking at the game and rather than make my own thread I thought I just post in this one.
The game looks like fun and is rather interesting. Thing is (this won't stop me from playing) the factions feel random has dice. I mean Utah and California on the same team!?! Oklahoma in the Texas Republic?!? Newsflash the surrounding states would not like the idea of being ruled out of Austin. Also the guys in Saltlake City would not roll with the Liberials out of Hollywood. And I'm not buying the idea that the French could take West Virginia.
It however does look like a fun game that I would like to try, although I kinda wish that the developers had put more work into the factions. All well, that's what Game Mods are for right?

"it takes two sides to end a war but only one to start one. And those who do not have swords may still die upon them." Tolken
