That just did hit the Undead pig... who soaked most of the damage. 1 Health Level.

Shooting the SOB with a good old fashioned 8-gram lead round (I'd go for the head shot, but I'm behind him).

Rolling to hit:

Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair...

Havoc: "So basically if you side against him, he summons Cthulu."
Hotfoot: "Yes, which is reasonable."

If the difficulty is six, that's five successes on six dice. Feast or Famine....

Please correct me if I misunderstand how this works, but I THINK I get four dice of damage + four more for each of the extra successes. That would be eight dice of lethal damage:

Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair...

Havoc: "So basically if you side against him, he summons Cthulu."
Hotfoot: "Yes, which is reasonable."

Er... once again assuming a difficulty of 6, that's seven damage pending soak.

Obviously if any of the above calculations are inaccurate, I'll reroll.

No, you're doing it right, barring modifiers. Targets behind cover, very close, or very long range can affect the difficulty of the to hit roll for reasons that are too obvious to go into. Damage rolls are almost always 6s, although soak rolls aren't always (Fire, for example, is based off hot severe the fire source is. Sticking your hand in a torch is easier to soak that sticking your hand in molten steel).

@ work, so Boar Soak

And that's 3 Soak.
5 Health Levels, and still a pissed-off Fomori.

Correct me if I mis-read that, but that looks like three successes, (4-1 from the 1 roll), which translates to four health levels of damage, yes?

So that begs the question:

The health level Cyncat did was Aggravated. Mine were Lethal. What is the functional difference between the two in this case? Are Lethal health levels easier to soak or heal? Does the boar get extra dice to do either against Lethal damage?

SO, Cyncat and Havoc post your actions in the thread... Sophie can damn near pick a target on the final Boar, since it's broadside to her.

(Note: this is the one Devonie and Rheonix were fighting, that just came back from Death)

No... but Lethal Damage can be healed one Health Level per turn, unless in combat or other stressful situations. Then you need a Stamina roll, Diff 8. Agg Damage is healed one Health Level per day of rest.

Aggravated damage is always harder to heal and most creatures have more difficulty soaking it. Shapeshifters and a few others soak aggravated just like it was lethal. To make things a little more complicated, what qualifies as lethal or aggravated can vary from creature to creature. Vampires, for example, can only soak aggravated with special powers, but treat most gunshot wounds as bashing damage and they have bonuses to soak bashing.

The Boar is spending 2 rage.

First attack is on Cyncat, since he stepped up and tried to stab it.

9 7 6 6 6 5 4 2 2

5 possible hits. Dodge if you wish, Cyncat

I'll spend a Willpower point for another success to get it up to 5.

And with the Willpower, your blade turns aside the tusk, pushing it away from you. Nicely done. You want to post it, since you're so good with words?

One whole shining success. I don't think that'll work.
