Axel's background is still in a state of flux, still that said I this post clearly suggests that Axel is not a noblemen or even distantly related to one. Perhaps a bastard or the 3rd son of a tradesmen?

That's fine.

I know, I'm shameless to be bribing you guys with free beer.

On the other hand, what better reward could one have for valiant adventurers?

An excellent point, my dear corporal. Feel free to work on that.

So lay in your bets now gents. Is anyone feeling Skaven? Well? Anyone?

I'm hoping for nice normal gutter scum, or a cult. Or even goblins. But them there are the Skaven.

I'd go with Skaven. Goblins would be cool but slaying giant rats has an appeal.

So is this a single story building, should we have a guy search the floors, one the walls and the other...?

The floor has an opening... Crap,Crap,Crap,Crap. That's another 20% it's Skaven. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll just be thugs.

If I get skewered on Stormvermin blades, I am haunting someone!

I'm thinking we could soak the tunnel floor in lamp oil and light it up after they pop up. Hopefully the tunnel is far enough down that it won't set off the warehouse as well.

Or smash some glass and throw it down there, wounding anyone coming up and maybe leaving us a blood trail to track.

CT! Nobody believes in Skaven! This is like you and me finding a hole in an old house in real life and you suggesting it was goblins!

A mild correction. Elves believe in Skaven (but don't really worry about them because they're rarely an Elven problem). Dwarves and Tileans have plenty of experience with the bastards and believe they are real. Everyone else, not so much. Even bodies are likely to be dismissed as mutant rats or just an odd strain of beastman. Huge secret empire of sorcerous chaos ratman? Now that's ridiculous.

All right, before I smashing glass do we want to push/stack some boxes around the hole to funnel whoever comes out into a "killzone" and make it easier to tackle them?

DO I have to roll anything to chuck a lantern down the hole after I jump out? Or make a fear test when I see these freaks?

These guys don't cause Fear. Thrown weapons are under Ballistic Skill, just like Dark Heresy. The Aim half action gives you +10, of course. And the freaks can't really move at close range. Another +20.
