Alrighty then, the decision to pull off from the attack run and wait means that you have all the time in the world to wait for the others to arrive and formulate a plan of attack on this thing.

Yes, you can all make it down safe and sound if you take your time as the statue thing isn't moving anymore, it has returned to being a normal statue.

Ahem. I let yesterday pass because of the election in America, but I'm still waiting for posts from Rogue 9, rhoenix, and LadyTevar, while Charon can contribute too by commenting on Nitram's post.

Nah, I figured that sort of shot should fall into the 'broadside of a barn' category, and its not like you were going to do any damage like that anyway.
EDIT: you can make an attack roll for the stone spitter though.

Not necessarily looking to do damage with both these ranged attacks, more just testing the waters on what I'm dealing with.Academia Nut wrote:Nah, I figured that sort of shot should fall into the 'broadside of a barn' category, and its not like you were going to do any damage like that anyway.

Oh hey, a 20. I guess ignore that damage roll then. How do these work again?

Okay, you hit with the second attack. Make a DC 13 Fortitude save or deal no damage because your sword shattered on impact.

Yup. You can either use your own Fort save or the blade's (+3), but by the rules pretty much anything that doesn't require specific destruction conditions is vulnerable here.

Alright, so you hit with your sword and it doesn't break on impact this time, and you deal 8 damage physically after damage reduction, and 6 from the chill touch. That's pretty good, whacked off a little good piece of it.

In that case, I'll edit my post to get Fehl his sword back.

So now we wait for Rogue 9 and Nitram. One of whom can bring the hurt to this thing in a big way.

rhoenix, hold your horses, Rogue 9 hasn't had his chance to act yet this turn, and once he does it will be the statue's turn again, so while running is a good idea, you don't have all the info for this turn yet.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say I'm not the one who can really hurt it.

Did you figure in the bonus from bless in his opposed attack roll? I mean, I know he won massively, but it's worth remembering.

I did forget yes, but I remembered afterwards. Not worth editting because I decided that it actually did all the damage to its own weapon on the fumble, although the hardness of the blade means that nothing actually got bent.
Also, Fehl can take an attack of opportunity if he wants, although if you do strike it with a melee weapon do remember to make a Fort save. Yes, the enemy is daring you to hit it. You battered it last time, but will you risk your sword again?
