I wish to point out that insane and evil are not mutually exclusive terms. I have schizophrenic relatives and one was an asshole before he got ill and an asshole when he was ill. My brother, on the other hand, is a nice guy who is potentially violent if he's not medicated. Ordering people to their deaths for nothing is never a good deed.

I understand all this. And the fact that I'm not budging from my position should tell you that there are facts in this situation you're not seeing, and I'm simply not going to tell you more than that. Yes, there is a mystery here, I fully grant you, but I'm not going to help you solve it OOC.

Ok, Rogue9, Grer sees the same thing Eddie & Volans see: footprints, made a relatively short time ago; less than a month, but you can't be more sure than that. Number of sets of footprints are indeterminate as well.

CynCat, your character sees a footprint.

There are four sets of footprints, all about human-sized. You can't tell if they were elves or dwarves or humans or what specifically, but you do know there are four.
