"I'll live sister," he says, "if Wright doesn't kill me first."

"Can you walk? Where did he hurt you?" She asks as she begins to literally crawl up the guy to where his binds are. Dull but perforated. It will have to do because it is all she has. She first tries to untie the binds, and, if that does not work, she will try and use the edges to cut them.

"Where didn't he hurt me," he laughed. "At least the bones healed up quick. Look, sister, he's a bad, bad guy. And it ain't just him. There's a whole fucking secret society of them. He ain't human. Human blood doesn't heal you up and taste like the best thing you've ever had."

His bonds were unfortunately beyond Cassie's capacity to undo. "Hey lady," said the black man, "I could use some help too."

Marcus sighed and got out of the car. Spinning the machete lazily he entered his home, locking the door behind him. Marcus was slightly worried, this loss of a ghoul could have some bad side-effects for him. But for now he needed to sleep. It'd been a long night. Marcus slipped into the lazish basement of the house, locking all the doors behind him. Setting the machete down beside him Marcus openned up a book of reports on enemy activity and read over it. He figured he still had another 30 or so minutes before he'd have to sleep.

There was nothing that could be done about Haakon. So Leo decided to turn back. He had another score to settle with that sociopathic hellspawn known as Wright. So, he turned around, and in as careful a fashion as he could, without alerting the elder, he left. Moving toward Wright's place picking up speed when he knew the murderer could no longer see him. He would deal with Haakon in due time.

She moves back from the guy. "Save your energy, mister." He must be delusional, but then...what about the room and the strength of that guy? "Let me try the other guy, okay? I'll be right back." She promises.

She crawls back off of him and begins to crawl towards the other guy. She licks her lips, remembering the taste. She craves it, it is wrong to admit? Suddenly the guy seems to be spooking her out, like telling a bad ghost story. Rubbish.

She reaches the other guy and says, "Dont be afraid. I'm gonna try and free your arms, just try and hold still. I promise I ain't getting fresh." She says awkwardly with a small if exhausted smile, as she begins to search his pockets.

Unfortunately for Father Leo, dawn would be coming soon. He still had time to act, but he would have to do it soon or the sun would drive him to take shelter.

Cassie found a few more coins, a cross on a chain, and a tiny pocket knife.

'Thank you' She says a silent prayer. This is incredibly difficult. A little hand now and then is more than she needs. She begins to saw through the guy's ropes she is on now. She asks him, "Can you walk?"

"Yeah," said the big black man. "He didn't work me over. I guess he thought I was plenty tough without fighting me."

What the man said does NOT make sense. Plenty tough ~without~ fighting him? But as soon as she is done cutting his bonds, she hands him the knife and asks quietly, "Can you free the other guy?"

"We can't just give up and rot in here. We have to try. And if we are going to die anyway, we might as well die without lying down." She says firmly, in soft tone. She is so tired, and cold. Her body feels strange.

The Italian laughed. "You got a better plan than wait for Wright to come and then we all hit him before he knows what's happening, I'd love to hear it."

She frowns, and looks around, trying to think. She is new at this. She shakes her head no. "I just got something I have to be in the next 20 years or so." She considers, "What can I do to help?"

Leo headed for his haven. He didn't have much time and Wright had more than a few heavily armed retainers and a well defended haven. He needed more time to formulate some kind of effective plan.

He made his appearances at the never-ending party as usual, gladhanding his way around, obviously in a swimmingly good mood. It was in the middle of all this that one of the sycophants slipped him the letter found in Cassie's previous room. He picked it up and read through it, smiling at what was written there.

Oh, this was rich. No wonder she was so freaked about the money thing...

Jason pried open the locked door. Even dirty and dishevelled the blonde was still a looker. "Time for your next drink," he said. She looked at him with mixed hope and fear in her eyes.

Three times is the charm, he had been told. Here's number three. He sliced open his wrist and held the bloodstream to her mouth. Drops trickled in. She gulped them down. With a a few quick cuts he freed her. "Are you going to try and escape?" he asked gruffly.

"No sir," she replied. "I'll do whatever you want. I'm yours."

"Good."

"What now?" she asked.

"I'll let you know," he replied.

She blinks. She can't even stand, and here he is telling her to hit him?

That's enough. She doesn't have the strength for the brutal approach.

"Why don't I draw his attention, and you guys make a run for it?"

"You really think you can do all that? You have seen the power he has. Do you really think that you will be able to hurt him? Besides, I dont want to hurt him, I just want to get out of here. Look, you got a dame willing to work as bait here. You gonna throw it away?" That's right, reason with the lugs. She wonders how she got thrown in with them.

Marcus awoke with a start. He cut himself short from yelling. Covering his worry in his mask the Lasombra Antitribu got to his feet and dressed, keeping his machete close at hand. "Maybe tonight I'll be able to keep from getting shot up." Stretching his back Marcus made his way into the upstairs of his home and made a quick cursory look to make sure nothing was missing. Upon confirmation that everything was there he locked up his home, lot of good it would do against someone determined enough, and drove in his stolen car to Wright's.

And Cassie looks to the two thugs, her eyes widened.

Maybe if she holds still, he wont see her. That thought, for five seconds, actually felt like it might work.
