The Mega-Juicer threw a punch made of nothing less then malice at the 'squishie's' comment.

Roll with punch for half damage:

The titanic punch thrown by the Juicer would have torn through a tree without trouble, smashed a boulder, or even created a small crater in the ground, such was its impact. It would have knocked an ordinary human's head clean off, and maybe the shoulders with it.

It made Matthias' head snap around to his left. His head turned back to face the Juicer with the same even look, just as a very small trickle of blood escaped from his lip. He wiped it away with his thumb, looking somewhat impressed. "Not a bad hit. But your form is awful. Now," he said, smiling slowly, and not altogether pleasantly, "what happens next is up to you."

The bar went quiet. A normal man would have been pulped by that blow, with bits and pieces of him scattered all over the area behind which he last stood. There was the audible click of weapon safties to off from around the bar and the humm of several vibro-blades being unsheathed. With dropped jaw the Mega-Juicer said "Drinks on the house for these two squishies as long as they stay here. And they are allowed back." The crowd turned back quickly to what they were doing before and the weapons all went back to safe.

Speedy Louis began to guzzle his beer down and look at Matthias with a strange look at the same time. "How did you survive? I thought you were a dead man!"

As the large Juicer faded back into the crowd of the bar, and the bar's background noise started up again, Matthias leaned over to the barkeeper. "Hey, barkeep? When that big guy comes back for his next drink, it's on me."

It was then that Speedy addressed Matthias, who smirked at the comment. "I'm a bit tougher than I look."

Sitting back down on his barstool, Matthias went back to sipping his drink calmly, watching the people in the bar go about their revelry. His armor was still in pieces beneath his barstool, untouched for the time being.

"Well that might be something that I could do, but he is the bar's owner..." The barkeeper responded.

Upon hearing this, Matthias couldn't help but laugh. "A man who takes care of himself and his personally, then? Oh yes, this is my kind of place," he said, knocking back the last of his drink, smiling at the taste. "Well, since all drinks are free...barkeep, surprise me with this one. Let's see what the Juicers around here drink."

"Meet the Hydraulic Fluid Reset." Handing what appeared to be a pint glass of smoking liquid to the Atlantean.

Brandon finally walks in. Looking around he is quite surprised by the kind of establishment that the others have chosen to drink in. Walking up to the bar he grabs an open area and stands there. "Hey bartender. I'll take a brain blender." As soon as he orders it, he begins looking around at the different juicers in here and is obviously trying to avoid looking at the stage. "Definitely not like home was."

Looking at the smoking, amber fluid, Matthias smiled slowly as he examined it, smelled it, and smiled more broadly before knocking all of it down at once.

Shaking his head at the spectacle that just unfolded, Skai clapped Matthias on the back. "Gotta give you props man, you can definitely take a hit." Turning to the bartender he said "I'll have whatever he's having." pointing to Matthias as he drained the last of his drink.

"Hey Matthias...what's in that thing?" Brandon looks inquisitely at the mug that once held the smoking drink. "I have never seen a drink like that. Looked like the exhaust from a stinger jet. The lord knows I have never heard of someone drinking jet exhaust before."

Shaking his head vigorously for a moment, Matthias turned to Skai, and shook his head with a smile. "No, Skai - no offense man, but this shit would devour you. Barkeep - give him an Engine Melter."

Looking more serious, he said in a low voice, leaning to Skai so as to not broadcast it to the bar. "I'm not trying to insult you Skai, but as an example, I wear that armor down there more as a disguise than as protection. Ordinary alcohol doesn't do anything to me anymore. These...illustrations," he said, pointing generally to his tattoos, "are as much a blessing as a curse sometimes."

Turning to the other gentleman with a smile, Matthias looked a bit more relaxed. "Not sure what's in it, but it had a kick strong enough for me to feel for a change - which makes me damn impressed. I wouldn't recommend it unless you can fist-fight a SAMAS and have a good chance of winning, though."

Nodding at the advice, Skai swapped drinks the bartender and thew half of it down. Coughing a bit after it he said "Wow, that's good stuff." Drinking the rest of it down he gave the glass back to the 'tender "Alright, that's enough for me for one night. Holy crap."

"Well son seems you are a little bit squish still but that can be changed. Head up, boss man told me to give you a room for the week on the house." The bartender handed Skai a set of keys labeled room 415. Reaching over to Matthias he handed him a set of keys labeled room 431.

"Hahaha, I'm not much of a drinker. Thanks for the room tho, much appreciated." said Skai, taking the keys from the barkeep.

Feeling the effects of the drink still, Matthias shook his head again to clear it before reaching to grab the keys offered by the barkeeper. "Thanks. Mind if I have another Engine Melter with that?"

As he got the drink, he sipped it, enjoying it as he reached into his backpack and grabbed a simple long-sleeve shirt. Setting down his drink, he slipped on the shirt, and grabbed his drink once more, stirring it as he just watched the crowd.

Brandon turns his back to the bar and starts examining the crowd out of curiosity. Slowly he drinks his drink as he looks for a table out in the crowd.

The bar seems to be quieting down from all the excitement earlier. It looks as if people are still giving the two new squishies sidelong glances, but nothing out of the ordinary. The night continues after the smaller squishie heads to bed. With silence a few minutes before midnight everyone is handed a shot of tequila and gathers round the hearth next to the bar.

The Mega-Juicer steps up onto the bar, "For those of you who are new to the area, this is a local tradition at this bar. We drink to Death. May he guide us in life so that we may kill for him. So that we may die young and powerful. To never being decrepit! TO DEATH!"

Raising his shotglass he empties it along with the rest of the crowd. A roar of "TO DEATH!" comes swiftly after the shot and the glasses are quickly thrown in the still light hearth. The bar settles down and the night begins to wind down, or so it seems...

Raising his glass and yelling out with the others just as enthusiastically, Matthias took the shot with the others, tasting the tequila's approximate age as he did.

Raising your glass to Death was a common thing for the Aspirant Slayers during his training, and this place and its owner was endeared to him more for him doing so as well, tossing his glass in the fireplace when he was done, along with the others.

Brandon raises his glass and joins in the toast. Afterwards he moves closer to the stage where the girls were dancing and finds a chair.

Unable to sleep, Skai makes his way back down to the bar area. Sighing in relief to see that the place had calmed down, Skai made his way back over to the bar, stumbling a bit on the way. Plunking himself down next to Matthias again, he place his head in his hands, wishing the place would stop spinning and his head to stop pounding. "To Death eh? Can't say I haven't made a toast like that before." He said to Matthias.

Raising his eyebrows at seeing Skai walk back in, Matthias answered him. "Eh, when I was going through my training to become a Slayer, we all had to acknowledge our own mortality often, because it helped you value the present much more. Looks like the same kind of thing here, and I respect that."

His eyebrows narrowed slightly as he continued in a lower voice. "However, there's still a few nasty coincidences here to something else, and that's the other reason I'm still down here - I hope I'm wrong."

His head dishing up a particularly painful throb, Skai decided he needed to get out of the building before he lost what little control he had on his mind, the aura of this location slowly overloading his defenses. "I need some fresh air. Let's continue this discussion outside." Skai replied to Matthias' comment, patting him on the shoulder on the way out to the door.

As Matthias and Skai headed to the door, three individuals began to enter. One held the head of the bouncer in one hand and seemed to be eagerly sucking on the coratid. One of the others, a small man, pounced towards the crowd, fangs bared. "If you want death so bad come and get it!"

The third laughed and began to speak in tounges and move her hands through the air. These were definately not normal patrons.

Taken aback by the sight, Skai quickly regained his composure. Reaching out with his power, Skai enveloped the woman in his power and yanked, smashing her into the bar (TK Super, 500 lbs force).
