Yes, exceedingly immune to paralysis unless it is from a spell specifically designed to disrupt undead in such a way. And Ceridwen hit the allip quite handily, although my point about the dice hating all of you guys stands.

I didn't add the damage from the charge, cause I forgot what it wasAcademia Nut wrote:Yes, exceedingly immune to paralysis unless it is from a spell specifically designed to disrupt undead in such a way. You don't get bonus damage from a charge unless you're wielding a lance while mounted, but you did forget the bonus damage from your smite evil, which in this case is 4. So you did 10 damage.
Hurray, you've finally got the allip to have hit points under its normal maximum!

Before you hit it, 11 points of damage had been done to it. It had made three successful touch attacks that drained wisdom, and it gains 5 temporary hit points for every sucessful touch attack. Tha math speaks for itself at this point.

I would just like to point out that the CR on allips is total bullshit. I've made the observation before, but it's illustrating itself quite handily at the moment.

I still have no idea what the hell they were thinking when they gave it CR 3. Oh, sure, it can't kill you, but it can just as easily wipe out a party by trapping them all in a coma until someone casts restoration. Not lesser restoration, but full blown restoration, which is only accessable four levels about the CR.

I know Bartel could get rid of it essentially any time he pleases, but that's dangerous enough to do with one incorporeal creature at a time, much less two, since when they come back, they can choose any direction they please.

Fehl's going to toss a Kelgore's Firebolt at the creature, but I don't have the spell description in front of me right now. I'll make the post and such when I get home from work tonight.

So is that firebolt an area effect spell? Cause if it is there won't be any way to say that Volemack and Ceridwen aren't in the way of it. Oh, and Volemack would take 50% extra damage due to the fire and his cold subtype.
I really hope this campaign doesn't rapidly degenerate into accidental teamkilling all around.

No, the firebolt is not an area effect spell - it specifies a single target only. If the target's spell resistance is somehow not overcome, the target still takes 1d6 impact damage from the rock.Academia Nut wrote:So is that firebolt an area effect spell? Ah, touche. Alright, I'll take a number in the meantime.LadyTevar wrote:Problem, Fehl... I'm in the way. Only room for two, and right now that's me and Volemack.

We haven't really established initiative order, but Volemack hasn't gone since my last turn. Which is fine, since turning it would be a bad strategic decision and there's no room in the melee, but I just thought I'd point it out rather than just take a turn like we seem to be doing.

Yes, Volemack is the last one who needs to go this 'turn' before everyone else can have their next go. Also, what's the saving throw DC on that spell?
Also, if you want to push into the church to expand the melee, you can, its just you'll have to deal with the miasma in there from all the bodies. DC 16 saving throw every turn at the start or be naseauated for that round.

Actually, at this point, if someone hits it once that should finish the bastard off. Come on Volemack, kill it before it gets to go again and heals while draining more Wisdom.

I'm sorry, but I can't find a description for that spell (Kelgore's Fire Bolt) online at all. All I remember was that it allowed a reflex save for half damage, but I don't recall a specific DC.
(EDIT: scratch that, it appears the DC is a measly 15 for this spell)

You can always tell the save DC of a spell by the simple formula of 10+spell level+ability score bonus of spellcasting ability
