Anyway, going back to the dice thing for a moment, once the die is rolled, it changes the code to one fixing the die roll in the database, so that it won't change when edited. So instead of

Code: Select all

Invalid dice code!

giving
which is a random result, you get

Code: Select all

Invalid dice code!

which fixes the result at the original roll, i.e.

Incidentally, this is how you can tell if a die roll has been gamed; it doesn't fix the code like that until a post is edited, so if you quote it and the die code has "Fixed" in it, you know it's been exactly that.

What would Garxon do if he fascinated her? Well, once she was staring at him in mute inaction, he would probably begin partying to the edge of obscenity laws, if the area even has any. Garxon is the kind of intellectual, no common sense asshole who would find out the exact wording of laws just to subvert them. He would thus do things just to piss her off and wind her up. His ability is really slippery because its caused by the fact that he's really good looking.

And no, you cannot keep that roll.

Reading through so far I have but one thing to say...

Dear God, I cannot believe you have not been able to find better players before you got here. Frankly the fact that I am missing out on this is making me aSad Tortoise

It probably has to do with the fact that I'm a touch shy in real life and thus could not find people to play with who were not already my friends... and none of them actually has any idea what they're doing.

Also, I note that it is perhaps a good thing the Ceridwen's squire is currently not in the tavern as this would have probably devolved into a bloody brawl by now.

From Volemack asking Garxon "Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?"

Not all Paladins are straight-laced. Right now, shes' thinking that the town let him in, with the understanding he'd go to this bar and have fun. They aren't worried about him inside the bar... they're worried about him OUTSIDE the bar. Thus, if he wants to annoy her, it's keeping him inside the bar,a nd Volemack outside. If Garxon starts to leave the bar, or take a fight outside... THEN Ceridwen will have to start the fight.

Right now, he's as annoying as a baby dragon. She's gotten used to that.

Let's see how much chaos I pack into one post then via simultaneous events. If Nitram thinks he can get fairly consistent net access again, we'll probably get into the main game after this.

Also, since rhoenix seems to be the only one with arcane knowledge, I'll just roll for him

It's a bit obscure, from the Arms and Equipment Guide, but basically its an alcohol that if drunk by a barbarian with uses of the rage ability still left for the day, a DC 15 Fort save is required or the rage is activated. To everyone else, including barbarians spent for the day, it just gives a nasty hangover. And possibly alcohol poisoning, its really strong.

Now, the question is, what do you do?

Wish I had prepared calm emotions. Which I've been wishing ever since he walked into town.

What do you think the second d20 roll after I decided that rhoenix had no chance in hell of guessing that it might be frenzy water was for? So yes, Garxon got a 7 on his Fort roll. So you better hope his Fort save is 8 or better.

Okay, explanation here. It's not quite a grapple that's going on, but since Garxon is always considered armed because of his claws, I figured he got an AoO when you tried to grab him, and instead of trying to gut you, he just tried to shove you away and knock you down with a trip attempt. He failed to knock Ceridwen down, but I wonder how a certain squire will respond to seeing his knight being shoved by a very angry looking red dragon demon thing. Or anyone else for that matter.

Oops, sorry about that - forgot I had to roll in the OOC thread instead. I'll delete and recreate my post...even though I rolled a 20.
