Eight is famous for... well... getting into fist fights because he was just up for a fight... and there are stringent laws about murder and it's too easy to kill with an axe.
What?

Sorry about the wait - hell yes it was intentional. Shit, I almost had Fehl go for two. You know, left and right - a matched set. So they match. What?
And as for fistfights, Fehl would be served awesomely if the level 1 spell Sleep were a touch spell. Otherwise, he'll achieve the effect the old-fashioned way - through a savage beating.

I was more directing that towards this NPC, rather than you guys, but hey, whatever works.

I can say from experience that two (strippers) at once is pretty awesome and worth the cost, so while prostitution is a different ball game all together, fuck it, this is fantasy.
That said, don't you dare take this into creepy town rhoenix. Although we could probably drag things out a bit, all things considered.

Were I playing a different character, I'd take that as a dare.Academia Nut wrote:That said, don't you dare take this into creepy town rhoenix. Although we could probably drag things out a bit, all things considered.
For the curious, this character is a mixture of Kolth (from the Exalted game), and Zedrin (the character I played briefly in the IK game), personality-wise. Basically, he really likes causing elaborate trouble when he's bored or motivated (Kolth), but has the temperance to not do so impulsively (Zedrin).
It's making for an interesting character so far, and he's "awakening" smoothly.

Expended the light spell. It is now no longer dimly lit.

Clerics rock. If I'd known Bartel would be handling a refugee crisis first thing, I'd have prepped create food and water rather than searing light.
Edit: Create water expended. And I just realized after posting that they'll think it tastes funny because they're used to volcanic water. Though Bartel hasn't had the local water yet, so I'll let the post stand.

I would cry "Damn you!" for this rhoenix, but since I'm playing along, I really have no one but myself to blame. Still, damn you!
Also, yes, clerics are very multi-purpose. Incidentally, what time of day do clerics of St. Cuthbert pray for new spells?

If you want to just fade to black for Fehl and Hekka, with Eight doing his best to not roll his eyes, that would be okay with me.
In fact...

Actually, if Charon wants to make a post about rolling his eyes I would be glad to do a fade to black scene after that. Considering the circumstances of some of the players, I am going to have to make some sort of modification to my current plans, but I will wait a good 24 hours before going ahead with anything to see if conditions improve enough for a post to be made regarding ETA to wellness and whether or not we should play on.
Still, introducing Garxon should be fun and chew up some time.

Fair enough - I just tried to tactfully wrap that up as well as I could, and leave Charon some elbow room.Academia Nut wrote:Actually, if Charon wants to make a post about rolling his eyes I would be glad to do a fade to black scene after that. Yes, that should give Charon plenty to roll his eyes at and I can work around things for the next little bit. Technically this is just the prologue to the real action though, so some deviation from what I had planned is quite acceptable. Right now I'm just throwing out some clues and a lot of red herrings to you guys as to what will be involved with the main campaign.

Seeing as Nitram is in the hospital, I would recommend that you guys probably slow down so when he gets back, he can actually feasibly join.

That's pretty much what I meant with the "fade to black" thing; I think Rogue and I both are just playing out the intro scenes that don't affect the other characters and such in the meantime.

Pretty much, which is why I'm letting Charon's character Eight have the chance to comment on the situation and roll his eyes before going 'fade to black' and then I will wait a bit, see how much time I can squeeze out of Rogue, before moving to another unimportant scene. As I said, if this were divided into chapters, this would be the prologue or somesuch thing. You will know very specifically when the main game starts as it will be really, really obvious, and I will hold off on starting that until I know more about Nitram's health.
Also, Comrade Tortoise, should Nitram and Tevar prove unable to join us, you are of course invited to join. Although I hope you do not feel insulted when I say that I hope I will not be playing with you, mostly because such an event would mean that our friend is very, very sick indeed.

In this case, may I propose that we all wait until Monday before continuing? I'd rather not get too far along for Tev and Nit to walk into the game easily.LadyTevar wrote:Problem: Nit will be in the hospital at least til Monday... if not longer.

Oh don't worry, I was figuring Nitram would be incapacitated until at least Monday as well, and I can stretch this whole thing out easily until then, although your characters will almost certainly miss out on meeting Garxon.
Oh well, he'll be back later. Hopefully he'll become a memorable NPC.

Okay, I'm going to wait until Charon and Rogue have had a chance to post before I do anything, and I'll probably focus on interaction with Rogue after 'fading to black' before I do anything, so that will probably chew up a lot of time, most of Saturday at the very least.

That's going to need a new alignment axis to properly express things, something where one end is 'bastard'.

Lots and lots of fire.
