"Marcus is here with some news on O'Banion he might want to hear." Marcus crossed his arms and waited as the ghoul dissappeared into the house.

He reached down, taking her chin in his hand, and squeezed it between his thumb and forefinger, just enough to hurt, but not enough to bruise.

"I'll get you set up."

He walked out of the office.

She shakes her head. This is nothing like she expected it to be. She waits for a few minutes, and peeks out of the office to see what can be seen.

Fred made his way upstairs, while Wright moved to kick a loving quartet out of one of the love-nest rooms. The doors didn't lock, but the bed was reasonably comfortable, if one didn't contemplate the linens too closely...

He made his way back to the office, while Fred wandered around the crowd looking for him. They managed to cleanly miss each other when he came back in.

"Okay, all set. C'mon, I'll show ya."

She gives a wary smile, her hand going to her head. It is spinning. She takes his hand, and walks out with him.

He took her hand in his, guiding her across the main room, where the party had resumed its usual frenetic debauchery, shoved open the door, and with a flourish worthy of presenting a palace, said "Here it is!"

He shrugged. "I come and go. Got business, y'know. Place like this doesn't just run itself. You need anything from me and I'm not around, just ask Ralph. Wait. Ask Fred."

Ralph was dead, of course, or at least, the previous iteration. Slipped his mind at times.

He'd have to remind Fred that this one was off-limits for all the usual fun and games, unless he was supervising.

She hikes her skirt up and begins to take off her stockings. "See you at tomorrow's gig"

He nodded, amused at her spunk. Yup, he was going to break this one down totally, before he was done, and build her into something... well, he wasn't sure what. But the game itself would be fun.

"See ya tomorrow," he said, heading out the door and nearly running into the nigh-frantic Fred.

"What? Marcus?" she heard him say, as he closed the door behind him.

Marcus was pacing when he heard footsteps coming down. With a growl he began to prepare to lay into the hapless ghoul. He was actually surprised to see Wright instead.

"About time. What, did I catch you in the middle of a drink?"

Wright grinned, "Nah, but you almost did. So what brings you to my home?"

Marcus stepped forward. "A bit thirsty, plus I've got some info you'll want to hear."

Marcus stepped in, followed shortly after by Eric. Marcus looked over his shoulder at the ghoul and waved his hand in affect of giving Eric some time to check the area out. But by no means was he to enjoy this.

Wright led him up to the never-ending party. "Got some stuff we need to talk on too, concerning our friend at the tracks, the one with the merchandise..."

Marcus raised an eyebrow in surprise? "Oh, what about him? Hasn't fallen into any trouble has he?"

As they reached the floor where the party was taking place, Marcus looked around, a small smile playing on his lips.

He grinned and gladhanded his way through the crowd, murmuring to Marcus.

"Gets better. He's falling into trouble. As in, he's aiming for us. Tried to start shit with Sammy the Kid, get him to cut me loose. Fair warning, because you're on the hit list too."

Marcus passed by the crowd, giving off enough of a 'I have business to attend to' vibe that the women didn't throw themselves over the new guy. He paused for a moment at the news.

"Really, that works out very well then. I've had plans for him since I met the mosquito."

He grinned. "There's an opportunity here for some serious shift of power and commerce in the area. I had a partner, but he got himself perished. Now you, you are the kind of guy who knows how to capitalize on these sorta things. Interested?"

Marcus pushed past the last of the crowd around him.

"I've always been more of a behind the scenes kinda guy. I'll pick up little bits here and there, but mostly I'm doing this for my own good. The trainyards hold no interest for me."

The noise of the whirling party and debauchery served quite well to cover up the gunshot that splattered Fred's brains all over the wall. Johnny and his crew stalked forward tommy guns, shotguns, and BARs ready to for mayhem. Two of the mobsters carried gas cans.

"Spread it around," said Johnny. "Especially around the doors. We'll shoot the motherless sons of bitches if they manage to get out."

He turned, grabbing the nearest sycophant. "Get everybody out the back, NOW."

And with that, he was running down the stairs. He'd heard the shots. Somebody was fucking with his turf again, and this time, he had a chance to answer back.

Wright burst out the window, swinging the BAR like a club, where it intersected nicely with one of the attacker's skulls and only briefly slowed down on its path. That done, he continued his motion, rolling behind his car.

He bellowed a loud war whoop as he when, making sure the safety was off as he moved behind the car.
