FYI: Our resident SanFranian has informed me that Argent's house is actually in Oakland, along Skyline Blvd., which has a lovely view down over Oakland and into SanFran.
That's because the mountain *I* thought she'd be on is 'too rugged' for houses. We then got into a show&tell of WV idea of 'too rugged' for housing. Amusing how easily a WVian could have carved out a house on those slopes...

I would deeply appreciate it if you two didn't try to kill each other while I was standing between you two. I intend to stand between you two for a while though.

If he'd stuck, Argent was going to vanish and let Blackheart deal with it.frigidmagi wrote:I would deeply appreciate it if you two didn't try to kill each other while I was standing between you two. I intend to stand between you two for a while though.

In an effort to keep continuity, I edited my second-to-last post to be "On the way out the door" instead of "Half a mile away from the house," so he'd still be able to hear Hydro speak.

I'd make a sexual inuendo, but I'm sure you all can think up enough of your own concerning blast's moving between Li Na and Argent

While it's not a commercial endevor, I would point out that there are organizations devoted to watching heroes online, if one would bother to look...

I would imagine there are tons of amateurs and members of each organization involved with watching metas doing it. That's why I had the link emailed to Blackheart. People with digital cameras and camera phones posting stuff to Youtube and hero junky sites are far too useful not to pay attention to them.B4UTRUST wrote:While it's not a commercial endevor, I would point out that there are organizations devoted to watching heroes online, if one would bother to look...

Indeed, good old crazy amatuer cell phone cameramen...
there's always the chance of the delayed news footage, and the real good high quality shots of the new Guardian Forcers....
the big IC question, really Saibot's benefactors/Saibot himself(for those charecters going for the jailbreak theory), the other two surviving members of the GF coming out of "retirement", or the Force itself being restarted by someone else.... (a note that the current uniforms, while similar in ways, are more militaristic than the previous not-spandex suits the orignal team wore).
Of course, we all know OOC, that it's Saibot and Ghost getting their dinner and gambling fun stepped on by some fucked up people...

The other two coming out of retirement isn't likely. Why now? On the other hand, Saibot's shuttle just got wasted recently and grabbing Saibot and his Guardian Force loot is the best reason to do that.

Still doesn't mean it's Saibot ... they may not let him out because of the risk of him going rogue. Just someone grabbing his toys, especially if we recall that some agency not only trashed his apartment, but blew up the entire apartment complex, with people inside. Same MiBs tried to shoot Hotfoot and Argent when we went to grab the boxes.

No shit. My post makes it clear that Blackheart isn't sure it's Saibot. Of course, Ghost hanging with Garth is in the forefront of his brain.LadyTevar wrote:Still doesn't mean it's Saibot ... they may not let him out because of the risk of him going rogue. Especially if it's someone who wanted to restart the GF, the best way instead of having to rebuild the equipment, and base. Instead, grab the person who has a buncha the old equipment, and knows where those bases were.

Since Blackheart's not around to see it, Blast, Hydro, Hotfoot, and Alexander will have to tell him how spooked Argent was by his sudden departure. One reason she's leaving with Tachy is a fear Blackheart's about to send her to jail.

No real comments on the herowatch.org thing?
Alright, well anyway. I'm adding a forum section to it and plan to build a bunch of throw away accounts and seed random discussions about groups and notable metas all over the world and current events, etc.
What I also plan to do is generate a few of them and hand out a couple to everyone here so you can make your own posts and help build up some of the world as well.
Rules for dealing with this, however:
1) If one of your accounts wants to trashtalk and flame, that's fine. Just keep it within reason. Obviously there are going to be people who think their hero is the absolute shit and everyone else is shit and will post accordingly. There will also be your average fans, the curious, and a bunch of other things as well. You'll have to look and read into some of it to get everything I have planned to leave you all.
2) No telling who your accounts are. I know, you know. That's all that needs to know. It'll, I think, add to the experiance a bit.
3) All news posts are currently set to admin approval, which is Spectat (aka Me). This is done so that if you want to add a news event about random hero A saving 20 people from a burning building in Atlanta, Ga or a recent demonstration against Metas over in Moscow you can do so, but I get final editorial say in case I feel there are things contained within that would contridict or otherwise screw up things I've got planned bad enough that I couldn't work around it. Suddenly having an all out war between the Red Guard and the KGB resulting in half of Moscow being destroyed would be a real hinderance.
Other then that, a little common sense will go along way and I think we can all really help expand the game.
Let me know what you all think.

I like this site and idea. It'll add some good flavor to the game as well.
However:
1. Your link to the forums is broken - right now it just appears as an href to http://phpbb2/ - I'm presuming you did this on purpose.
2. The post on the front page needs some grammar and spelling cleanup.
Apart from that, this is an excellent idea, and I think it'll help the game by making the game universe feel more "fleshed out."

It's interesting.
Look forward to seeing what's done with it....reminds me or one of those Alt-Reality game things they do with movies.
