Nice recap, B4. I could almost hear the "dun dun dun" between each snippet.

Alright, after speaking to B4 last night about this, I'm clearing the path for Hotfoot with this next post.

Blackheart really needs to remember the old adage about honey v/s vinegar. The rare times he's actually praised and supported Argent, she's always responded. Threats have gotten old.

Hello to all. I'd quite like to join the game if possible, I've just written up a character for that, although I'm unsure as to whether he fits the style of the game (Or over-all "power-sets") well. Not to mention the fact that my creative skills have gone to rot, so it's not my best work :).
Thoughts, critiques, comments, or whatnot would be appreciated, along with whether you'd mind my joining the game.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Name: Phyzics. (Golem maybe?). (Real name: Adam Monroe).
Sex: Male
General body stats(height, weight, race, etc): 2.1' tall. Very beefy, the type of fat that doesn't wobble when he moves, packed with muscle. A bit slow and ponderous, he always seems to be sitting, conserving every movement (Most see him as lazy). Caucasian, very pale with dark features, and a wave of black, tangled hair down to his neck. Looks thuggish, "Stony", as though someone hacked him out of a wall, and he just wandered off.
History:
"I was born in 'erry old England. Only it wasn't so merry for me. I grew up in one of the nastier sides of Manchester, and while I had a nice old middle class family, I still learned what a knife was when I was justa topper.
Course, once I got ta 15 and one of me mates broke a baseball bat o'er me 'ead, then I found me'self breaking his arm with naught but a flick. Course, being a silly little twit, but not an idiot, I kept me mouth shut. Me family were glad to see me settling down to study, and even taking an interest in physics of all things. Especially kinematics.
I finished HS, and went off to uni, to study meself into a physics degree, but halfway through, I just found me'self getting bored. kids two thirds me age were making more money than me on the streets, but dying as well, and I wanted to stop the idiots, I'd seen to many old friends wind up in an alley. Or alleys.
I'd told me family about my powers by then (By shooting myself in the hand, when the gits thought I was crazy), and decided I'd try my hand at superheroing. I dropped out of uni, and started doing the superhero thing part-time, while still reading up on physics. All the wonderful energies out there, and one day, I'm going to be able to tap into every one of them...
Origin of Powers: Mutant.
List of Powers (Limited to 2, please): Energy absorption and redirection.
Description of powers(what it's used for, how its used, requirements for use, range, duration, etc):He can absorb most forms of energy but to a highly limited degree, mainly kinetic.
For example, while focusing on kinetic He could take a single RPG-7 to the chest and be mildly bruised, but the heat would burn him to the bone. He can try to asbord up to three different energy sources, but his effectiveness decreases even further, to the point that trying for 4 sources would let a candle burn right through him, while leaving him unable to do anything but focus.
He can also redirect (only kinetic) energy, storing it to give him a measure of extreme strength, via releasing it in controlled bursts. (Tactile telekenesis, while touching and/or throwing objects).
He usually focuses on Kinetic and heat, allowing him to maintain ample supplies just from walking around, and due to being unable to concentrate constantly on other forms of energy.
Profile of character(Personality, general fluff, advanced education, particular skills[computer programming, lock-picking, advanced quantum-physics while standing on his head singing Carmen], job or duties) :
----
Phyzics is a powerhouse, a brick. He's not fast, not exceptionally powerful, but few can outlast him in a slugging match. His opponents usually take him for an idiot, with his accent & build, and while no super-genius, he's above average intelligence, and solid education leaves him quite aware of just what being able to absord and use any energy means.
He sees super-heroics as practice, to help him use his abilities better and to tap into ever more exotic energy sources. He doesn't have any definitive results in mind, but he enjoys sponsorships, being admired, and the rush of heroic combat, as well as the intoxicating feeling of power that accompanies it.
He has a good level of education (Second year of University), as well as a good amount of knowledge about crime and illegal activities in many cities in Southern England (Common guns, drugs), although nothing truly "Secret".
He's not the nicest of men, and underneath his brutish exterior, is a calculating, powerhungry person, Or so he likes to think. In reality, he's far more of a thrill-monger and less of a calculating super-villian in the making, and enjoys adoration and being a hero far more than he lets on. (He usually sees excessive emotions and overblown posturing as pompous and ridicolous).

I think at this point in the game, Alexander might catch up on his reading; perhaps even having in-depth discussions regarding his reading material with the other people on the roof with him. Perhaps there might even be a picnic.

Sure thing. The last time Argent did this and he went to back for her and saw that she wasn't locked into a tiny dark cell she totally learned her lesson . . . oh wait. No she didn't.LadyTevar wrote:Blackheart really needs to remember the old adage about honey v/s vinegar. The rare times he's actually praised and supported Argent, she's always responded. I'm okay with Grim Spueaker's character. Even if he does seem like a muscle bound non-energy tossing English Blast.
Sorry for the delay B4 on Nate.
Name: Nate Green
Sex: Male
Age: 19
Occupication: Missing College Student/Wanderer
Background: Nate was a friend of Tobin's(Blast) family and they played often together has children. Like Tobin, Nate's father was a member of the military, unlike Tobin's father, Nate's is still alive. They went to the same schools and ended up in the same college. Whereas Tobin went for an Anthropology degree, Nate went for an engineering degree. Life was good.
Things when downhill when Tobin disappeared and Nate didn't hear from him for days. A call to his mothers got him nothing but a polite pleasant speaking wall. So Nate decided to do what they did in all those cop movies. Check out Tobin's apartment. That had been a bad call. He walked in on a group of black suited men in sunglasses practically tearing the place apart. Nate tried to run but was cut off, in the middle of the struggle he was stabbed in the chest, narrowing missing his heart.
He woke up buried alive in a shallow grave. If wasn't for his powers he would still be there. Now he's out and has no idea where he is and is looking for a way home, or to find Tobin and find out what the hell is going on.
Powers: Regen, he can't regrow limbs and it won't save him from any instantly lethal or quickly lethal wounds, but otherwise he can heal damage up faster then normal. Alot faster and without scarring or ill effects.
Force Field, limited, Nate can generate a skin tight force field that will protect him from most attacks. Heat, gases and so forth bleed through shielding. This Force field also gives him the appearance of having low level super strength. It adds a push to his strikes that increases the damage and allows him to push away objects. He can't hold onto to something he's pushing and he would have to be directly under something he wants to lift. Currently the forcefield can push up to 2 tons.

Grim Squeaker, your character looks alright to me. Powers aren't outlandish, that I can see (I've posted worse, trust me).
Besides, as I understand it - now that Legacies is out of the picture, we need another tank for when things get ugly. Thanks for volunteering!

Ooof.. Now Li Na *really* can't talk to Blackheart about Ghost.
Although.. if Blackheart gets pissed with her one more time, she'll have a place to run

Yeah, because there's no way withholding information while Ghost is going cop killing could possibly create any new problems.LadyTevar wrote:Ooof.. Now Li Na *really* can't talk to Blackheart about Ghost.

We don't know he killed Gazer... yet. When we do find out, Li Na will probably feel guity enough to tell Blackheart.
The question is will her guilt outweigh her fear of what Blackheart would do to her....

Blast's energy attacks have different colors ranging from reddish orange to white depending on the amount of power involved. This column of atomic fueled insanity is blazing white.

From Blackheart's perspective Argent is, how shall I put it, emotionally volatile. He also believes Gravitas is prone to hyperbole (and he's a sick kerreoke singing fuck, but that's another issue) and believes that Blast will generally do the right thing. Blast is fighting an army of cyborg killbots so supercharging is not unanticipated. That he would be somewhat power drunk is somewhat expected.
That doesn't worry Blackheart. And while he's being cool and collected, vodka martini, shaken not stirred.
