To Blackheart it's an alien tumor that may eat his soul.
To the rest of you it's some sort of cancer.
To Blast it's just a battery.

I usually read the OOC before reading the Game Thread... so I had to wonder just WHAT Blast was going to do with that battery.

Yes - at some point, I'd like to play Luminos.

[20:52] TevarTahalshia: Someone wanna let Blackheart know Argent and Legacies are in the same damn room and not 20 feet from him?
[20:52] TevarTahalshia: LOL
[20:54] HotfootB5: The best way to achieve that, apparently, is sex.

[22:07] HotfootB5: wasn't only for sex
[22:07] TevarTahalshia: ah
[22:07] HotfootB5: Best way to let Blackheart know Argent is in the room? Sex.
[22:08] HotfootB5: otherwise, he's clueless
[22:11] TevarTahalshia: Ok... That is SO getting quoted

Ok... Frigid? Second time I've told you this... Once in PMs.
ARGENT AND LEGACIES ARE IN THE SAME FUCKING ROOM AS YOU ARE, NOT EVEN 20 FT AWAY FROM YOU, BLACKHEART, AND THE REST OF THE DAMN TEAM.
What part of that do you NOT understand? Do I need to draw a map?!

Where did you get the idea that I was an NPC? If I was, Scottie would have said "this is the character" like with the angel rather than the bunch of us having hashed out Hector like a normal character. Which we did. It's okay though. I have enough character ideas, and I wasn't really attached to him yet. He didn't fit in anyways.
Idea: character power Null Space. Can open doorways to a kind of pocket dimension between planes of existance. Null space is a small, mostly featureless area that is self-contained, meaning if you get to an edge, you reappear at the other side. Makes guns interesting, because you might shoot yourself in the back of the head. The only way in, short of divine intervention and Deus Ex Machina, is through one of his doors, but almost any means of teleporting (gates, shadowwalk, etc) can get you back out (for distance purposes, you're right next to where you were when you came in, so short-range teleporters are still limited when using Null Space as a starting point). Uses: storing weapons, making portals and "throwing" them to send whatever it envelopes into Null Space, standing behind a portal to block bullets, and whatever else seems feasible as we go.
When actually in Null Space, almost anyone can spawn mental constructs, though it takes practice to get very good at it. Things like swords and shields are pretty easy once you find the mental trigger. Moving parts are hard to pull off. Anything resembling living, moving creatures is extremely difficult.
Thoughts? It isn't really teleporting, which we have enough of, but it is definitely a CMA power. "Oh shit, the bomb's gonna go off, everyone get inside." The primary combat use would probably be yanking people into Null Space and just hammering them through use of Mental Constructs, though it'd be a gamble with anyone smart enough to figure out how to do the same. I'm not sure what sort of limits I want to put on where he can open doorways, but I'm thinking that he leaves Null Space in the same general area that he entered it.
B4, is the group going to somewhere where I could bring a character in? Ultima would be the easiest way. Or make him someone a member of the group met once. Or whatever. I'm not set on anything as far as backstory goes, so it'd be easy enough to write a history to fit an opening, as metagame as that is.

Which is another reason why the Monk got left behind... he wasn't 'Team'. Hydro was between the Team and Gravitas, so Argent had to bring him too.

Blast, warrior, leader, seeing eye meta, and now speaker to alien life forms as to the politics of metahuman deployment and social position. Age... 19.
What the hell have your characters done with their lives huh?

By age 20, Argent had bought the house you're now standing in, and set up automatic bill payments off the interest drawn by various accounts. She'll not need to pay a bill for the next 20 yrs.frigidmagi wrote:What the hell have your characters done with their lives huh?

Bank Robber does not compare to combat leader or warrior in terms of presitage or impact. Especially since the FedGov insured those banks.

The Pinkerton Brothers were leaders of men, warriors at times, and for many a symbol of the Law.
Jesse James had the better publicity.

I'm tweakin' you, Frigid Truthfully, Argent is perfectly happy to let Blast take the lead right now. She trusts him.
