Ok I fixed my post to take out the use of madness skill but just a little flag here the reason rukia and i were confused was because of the statement in one post telling us to write the "what just happened section"
Did you fall off a building – and land without a scratch?
sorry we thought that use of madness was ok for just introductory post she will fix her post soon

It's my fault, Shark. The way I had invisioned it(which is by no means what *HAS* to happen) is that the characters don't neccessarily realize they've crossed over to the mad city. Once in the mad city they used their powers for the first time subconciously, not really sure what happened or how.

Again, sorry for the confusion.

Alright, well I'm starting the game. Toss out an opening introductory post for the characters bringing them into the mad city.

1st person
Name: Jason McCormick
Age: 26
Occupication:None... Not anymore
Martial Status: Married, fuck you I don't care what they say I'm still married.

What’s Been Keeping You Awake? I was a cop, a dective and a good one I was told. I was married and I was happy, it was a good life. My wife's name was Jennifer. We met in college, she helped me focus, got me to quit boxing and take classes seriously. We were trying for our 1st kid. One morning she went jogging and... Never came back. I have to find her. I can look for her better at night, that's when the scum really comes out. Besides if you mix a cup of coffee a few cans of those new energy drink things you can go for hours and hours.

What Just Happened to You? My wife disappeared off the planet. The department was sympathic. We tossed everyone, people I had put away, the mob, any sleeze that had a thing with cops, nothing. I started looking on my off duty hours to. Her parents had her declared dead but I didn't stop. The department threw me out when I beat a guy who was part of a traffifing ring, he might have known something and I had to know! I didn't care. I sold the car, I sold the house, I sold whatever I had to to keep looking. I won't stop looking, I'll find her. I promise.

What’s Your Path? I'll find my wife, no one, no thing will stop me. I'll do it with my soul intact to. I can't be stopped, only killed.

2nd person
What’s on the Surface? Jason looks like a wreck. His eyes are bloodshot, his clothes old and rumpled and a good 2 weeks of fuzz is on his face. In short he looks like a madman or a zealot. He's been thrown out of the police department and sold just about everything of value he owns expect his firearm, a backpack, some clothes, a picture of him and his wife and his wedding ring.

What Lies Beneath? Jason is a man who believes in duty in protecting the innocent and the weak from the predatorary and the callious. A natural fighter, who was downright frightening in the boxing ring and even scarier in a dark alley, but would never hurt someone for fun or prey on the helpless.

Talent of Exhaustion: Sledgehammer, being hit by him is like getting a 50 pound sledge swung by a gorilla to the face.

Talent of Madness: Won't Go Down, beat him, stab him, shoot him, burn him but he ain't falling down and he ain't passing out and he's gonna get you.

I wasn't gonna join but Jason held my other characters hostage and demanded to be let out to play.

And so no one is confused at the moment, Jason and Malcom appeared relatively near each other on the same street. They're in the outer edges of Uptown.

Matthew, on the other hand, has manifested in the business district and not immediately nearby to the other two.

Any interest left for this game?

Yo I'm still in, although I would like a little more GM involvement.

Sorry for the delay, things have been going on that haven't allowed me to devote the time to get this moving again. If everyone's still in I'll post tomorrow to get it all going.

My Name Is :Amaranth
And I Am a: bartender at a small hole in the wall Gothic club, in Chicago, for lost souls ( weiry travellers and fellow goths). Where I lend a ear and know more than I should about everyone who enters the club. Strangers, friends or foes.

What’s been keeping you awake: I am a soul caught between two places, two lives ( one I don't know of, but have dreamed of and the every day one) and no idea who I will become. A past that has never been completely clear to me and a future that looks as empty as a broken glass. A life that was shattered by mysterious visits at night and secrets whispered as the clock tolled 12:01.

What just happened to you? I closed up the club, as I usually do and began to wander in my home city of Chicago. Thinking of how I have always known that the secrets that my parents kept from me, as a child, would catch up to me one day and they do tonight. Tonight is my 25th birthday. As the clock turns over to 12:01 there seems to be a slight pause. Just for a moment, I think to myself that maybe after several weeks of sleeplessness, I have finally fallen asleep. As I look around I notice the buildings around me are not quite right. I don’t remember there ever being these buildings in Chicago before. Mentally giving myself a shake, I find that I am still quite awake, yet not where I should be. Did I get lost? I remember taking a right and heading down the path through Grant Park and never arrive at Buckingham Fountain? Or even at the lake? What could this mean? Why can’t I find the park? Where is the fountain?

What’s on the surface? A small, slight of a woman in her mid twenties. Dresses in steam punk styles, with Long raven black hair and piercing blue eyes that seem to see all and know all. Is visibly suspicious of everyone and every thing. Openly evasive and mysterious by nature.

What lies beneath? A dark, but not quite evil streak. A talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, and being undetected. Somewhat curious and nosey. Yet, the sweetness of her naivety seems to make her question things quite often. Her life being cast in a web of secrecy, she yearns for understanding and truth... Maybe even a friend or two.

What’s your path? She is trying to find out who she is, where she came from and WHY her parents have held so many things close to their vests during her upbringing. No one is as perfect as they SEEMED to be. As she came into this realm in the city, she seems to have lost the ability to recall what her last name is and that of her ancestors. She is going to find out who she is, while she finds out Why she has been different than the other children all her life. She is going to discover that the secret her parents have kept is Immortality( The unfading, undying, forever young kind), but almost manically so.

Talents:
Exhaustion - She can read a person by the way they present themselves ( the way they talk, stand, dress, and drink).

Madness - Now beyond just blending in and reading people, she can see their stories and the way they live their lives. Hear the stories in thier memories. Feel the emotions of them. Even manipulate them to save herself by changing major memories ( good and bad) to create a different out come in a situation.

Scars: Beyond the emotional scars of not knowing who you really truly are and what your purpose in this world is, she has a small birthmark in the shape of a dragon on her left hip bone.
