Behold! The game has begun!
EDIT: Almost forgot. Languages will be dealt with as such. German is the standard language and will just have quotes as per normal "Hello, I am speaking German now."
All other languages will have tags around them. [French]"I eat boiled frog legs, because I'm nasty like that."[/french]

This pains me somewhat to say, but for the sake of brevity - my character would resemble Kadaj, from Final Fantasy: Advent Children in his human form (which he'd nearly always be in), though with shorter hair, and grey eyes. ( Image )

Do revenants even need to sleep?
EDIT: That also begs the question as to weather I have to worry about general comfort levels like cold, hot, wet, hard sleeping surface, sore muscles, tired, and the such...

Ok CT, you're going to have to change your post some. There is no way that from a glance you'll be able to learn what all the other characters are. If it were that fucking easy every last one of them would have been figured out long before this and killed. I might have let this go if you had some ability to read minds or to magically induce luck so you're more likely figure it out, but you don't, so no.
Women of this age (especially the kinds of women wealthy enough to be stepping out of carraiges) are pale, there's almost no hints at what a Revenant might be. The only one that you should even remotely suspect right now is Bait's character and even then you can't just out and out call him a monster, let alone know exactly what kind.
Furthermore, how the fuck do you know that the guy you're walking next to speaks gaelic? You barely even know his name, let alone where he's from or if he even speaks that language.
Frankly, the only part of your post that was acceptable was the part where he showed a rather distinct lack of joy in there being a gypsy here.

Fair enough, but I will contest Agrilos. He noted on his first post that his german was accented. Now, in his background, he is from ireland.... I dont know that, but I do speak the language, which means that it stands to reason that I could pick out the accent. Much like I personally know someone is german after hearing 2 sentences.

Alright, the gaelic is allowable. I had missed that he spoke in an accent and didn't have time to check it before I'd had to leave for school.Comrade Tortoise wrote:Fair enough, but I will contest Agrilos. Ok, I've edited my post in return.
Also - my character did say he was from Ireland, so I'd give that one to CT for guessing Agrilos spoke Gaelic. For that matter, his character would likely be the only one to guess that my character is a Djinn - once Agrilos spoke to the wind or used his elemental magicks, at any rate.

At this point, I think we're waiting for everyone to enter the building, and take a load off so we can get into the mayor talking about "wtf holy shit we suddenly have a merc army" and so on.

To rhoenix:
I would love to know how Agrilos got John's full name out of him before he so much as spoke his first name to anyone...
I did repeatedly use his name descriptively in my posts, if that confused you I could maybe consider not doing that as often. Ish.

Let's get one thing straight. Right now.
You are the players, and this story is meant for you. It revolves around you and you ultimately determine through your interactions with the environment how the story goes.
I, however, am the GM. GM, for those of you who don't apparently understand that, means "Game Master" it means it's me that determines what the reactions of an NPC are to your actions. That also means it's me that determines WHEN THE FUCKING SUN GOES DOWN. Not you.
Additionally, don't do something stupid like forget your own weakness list. For example, wearing silver ("She stood and quickly anchored her weapons to the silver and jeweled chain around her waist.") on your person when your character sheet explicitly states. "Silver items makes her violently ill as dose[sic] being in close proximity to holy objects her powers are greatly affected as well."
Thank you for your time. And if I have to repeat this message I will not be nice about it.

For the love of christ! I made a judgment call (not unlike people have done in other games) about the timing and you decide to mark me like a fucking leper. And yes I'm fucking human, I made a personal mistake and messed up on they type of stuff I can come in contact with. But in my defense, I had just worked 10 hours and was tired. But whatever, I understand the timing issue, and accept the consequence but you didn't even give me a chance to edit my post about the chain. I'll play along, but you could have been a bit more tactful, and I don't know, nicer?

You made an extremely bad judgement call for one. "Yeah, we've totally been in this inn for 8 hours."Dark rain clouds hovered over the town of Wittenberge, as they had been for the past week. The near midday summer sun occasionally broke through the cloud cover to bring some light to the nearly flooded roads and water logged grass, but besides that the weather did much to portray the feeling of the town as the citizenry continued trying to live their lives.
Additionally, the position of the sun and the moon is something that is extremely important in this game. What with all the werewolves, vampires, and mountain trolls around. It's not something that is to be made as a "judgement call" by an PC.
Additionally, you apparently didn't notice that I slapped you on the wrist the day before for making another judgement call about one of my NPC's. Again without informing or consulting me. I'd have thought that my openly yelling at CT for his shenanigans and then having Rhoenix's post about having to change his post all on the same page would have made it extremely obvious that I'm not a big fan of PC's deciding the effects of what they do (or using powers that they don't have, which you are not guilty of).
That combined with the fact that you forgot something that's legitimately important about your character sheet? Before I'd seen that I was just going to slap you on the wrist again and make a post about it here. But the fact that it was silver should have set off some sort of red flag in your head. Normally, I would have let you edit. But that you fucked up majorly, twice, in your post made me decide not to.
Either way the damage is not permanent. It will last a few nights, maybe a week. Less if you manage to figure out one of the party is a Revenant and get him to fix it. (Spoilers, if you suddenly just "figure out" that Agrilos is a Revenant I'm going to have you edit your post and then I'm going to hit you with a mad wizard)
