What about it is "too much?"

As I've been saying IMs, the Psionic powers alone make you a versitile combattant, so you really don't need the LightShow, although that one power to create or shut off light sources would come in Very Handy for making Shadows.

Still... you might want to lose the Passive Empathy. Do you *really* want to feel what the team is feeling, especially with Blackheart's "Go Away Or I Kill You" field, and Argent's mastery of manipulations?
And do you *really* want Empathy around when Argent and Blackheart or Tachyon are getting Intimate?

Well, I hadn't been thinking of your character specifically when designing Luminos, but it would come in handy as a utility power for all sorts of situations.

As I edited it, for him to use empathy or telepathy on someone, he has to focus on that person for either to happen at all - he's not receiving everyone's thoughts and feelings all the time anymore; at least, not consciously.

So in short - no more passive empathy/telepathy at all.
LadyTevar wrote:And do you *really* want Empathy around when Argent and Blackheart or Tachyon are getting Intimate?
*blink*

Wow, that sentence says a lot about the game so far. But yeah, no thanks - I can do without that.

Here we go folks, Luminos 2.0:

Real Name: Alexander Gordon

Aliases:: Luminos, Lightbringer

Basic Description: Male, approximately 20-35 years old, 6'3" tall, athletically slender build, weighs 200 pounds. Black hair, Caucasian complexion with vaguely Persian traits, irises of eyes are as black as his pupils, with no perceptible difference between the two. When his abilities are active, his irises effectively disappear, though this does not impair his vision.

Origin: Was an orphan of unknown parents, left in Maine to an orphanage. Manifested his abilities fairly early on, but kept it low-key until his college girlfriend was in danger. From there, he decided to try to help others.

Species: Unknown. Near-human/metahuman genome, with puzzling differences.

Psychology: Cheerfully offensive at times, but usually easygoing, and easy to get along with. Curious, and eager to learn.

Notable Skills: Subject has reached black belt in jui-jutstu, and subject has a talent for quick thinking.

Powers:
- Light Control: Subject has displayed capability of changing, creating, and nullifying light sources. This includes, but is apparently limited to: changing the direction of light sources, redirecting light around him to become effectively invisible, generating light finely enough to be considered a laser (capable of cutting or burning). Subject also has the ability to absorb all photons in an area, leaving only freezing cold and darkness in that area, enough to cause hypothermia in most subjects. Lastly, subject has demonstrated the ability to create visible illusions; e.g. realistic holograms.

Sure, sure have your deep meaningful drama... But you see the fucking Catholic is a little twitchy seeing as he is in the fucking middle of the worst place that there can ever be and he would like to finish this and get the fuck out of the worst place that can ever be before something shows up tears his heart and spends a million years gnawing on his soul.

Do you think we try that? Huh? Please? Just for me? Call it my Christmas gift or something?

You're a sick, twisted fuck for that.

I'm going to tinker with my character concept some more. Now I seriously want in this game.

"Lumberg fucked her."

On a somewhat related note, would anyone have a problem with me having light control as well as fire control as my two powers?

The only problem with the name "Blackheart" is it's very hard to say it in moments of high emotion. "David" is a lot easier

Eyes of Faith. I'll type up the long-ass explination later. Short version, a visual interpretation of someone who is essentially good despite a demonic heritage, which is represented by inky black ooze. The chain is more along the lines of emotional baggage, which you have to admit, there's a lot of.

For the benefit of everyone else, Blackheart had a beastie sitting on his shoulder ripping off chunks of flesh and gobbling them down. Gravy looked really friggin old. Nothing on the rest of you.

I'll give you the emotional baggage, although I'd have to say the 'essentially good' is questionable. Although being a SuperHero is growing on her, thanks to the team's influence.

You haven't devoured any souls of the innocent yet. Relatively speaking, you're doing pretty good.

So nearly a decade of cat buglery and jewelry heists, a trail of lies and manipulations, and attempted murder of Avatar (revenge for killing Ember), Tholos (for pissing her off), and the monk himself doesn't count?

Did I miss anything, Cyncat, since I know you like to have Blackheart bug Argent about her past

she mind raped a man who happens to be her childhood hero into falling madly in lust with her, then proceeded to fuck him in multiple ways - before he tries to kill her.

Thens he goes right around and fucks her team leader and the new guy on the team.

Oh, and she has ties STILL to a man who made his fortune in part by selling humans as slaves, murdering, selling drugs, extortion, blackmail, and any other host of things I could only dream of doing and is still loyal to him.

Let's be fair, the proper order of events is as follows:

Childhood hero tries to kill her, she mindfucks him to avoid nearly certain death. He mindfucks her back. The dysfunctional couple carries on like nothing is wrong and proceeds to get couples counseling from an old arch nemesis. Finally the ring (wtf?) decides, "okay, enough sex, let's get to the killing", and he goes apeshit because someone else mindfucks him because, shock, he went and did something stupid.

Stop me any time here.
Thens he goes right around and fucks her team leader and the new guy on the team.
Well, Blackheart was born under a wandrin' star, and Tachyon's got gold fever.
Oh, and she has ties STILL to a man who made his fortune in part by selling humans as slaves, murdering, selling drugs, extortion, blackmail, and any other host of things I could only dream of doing and is still loyal to him.
True. You do have a point there. Still, as far as the fuckedupometer goes, it's maybe a six as far as backgrounds for the team.

you know....

Considering I have the least amount of fatalities in the game (if you don't count the dozens murdered when he took that street down) - how do you know he was going to kill her instead of just knocking her out? It's easier to interrogate a living captive than a dead body you know....

I won't say what he did wasn't stupid, but it made sense to him at the time, until he got captured and mind fucked.

Ah well, live and learn...live and learn...
