He still seems underpowered.

I think it was called a Soul Gaze in the books. He always saw Murphy as some sort of female Paladin almost.
He seems underpowered in comparison to the rest of you because he doesn't throw blasts of death, crush victims with a thought or make julian fries with his appendages. He's a timex. He takes a licking and keeps on ticking. He just happens to be able to punch his way through a wall or 12 as well...

No, Soul Gaze was a different one. That's the one that required eye contact. But yeah, unseeing stuff doesn't work for Dresden. Not really sure how I'd work it for Hector. Probably snip that little tidbit out, just so it doesn't start getting in the way of smooth gaming.
If he still seems underpowered, there are two options I see. The ability to smite people, or some kind of relic. I like smiting, but a relic is always cool. Maybe a weapon with a fragment of St. George's sword set into the pommel. Alternatively, a less offensively oriented ability. Like healing people. It'd let me make faith healer jokes. Smack someone in the forehead and shout "Be healed-ah!" But healing people would be a shift from the feel I'm going with, so one of the first two options might be better.
So, any objections to a holy relic?

Okay, smiting it is. Hmm. How to smite, now. Lightning bolts are overdone. Gimme a minute to edit it up.

Just do it DnD style with extra Holy style damage.

Combined both Smiting and Relic. Check out the Reliquary Blade.
Brother Hector Corvalis
Age: 29
Appearance: Brother Hector looks like a man at peace with the world. A perpetual smile graces his countenance, and his cheerfully gleaming green eyes make it difficult to notice the faint scars that are all that remain from his youth as a hell-raiser. His head is shaved bald, but his hair color is dark enough to make out the stubble, and judging on the location of his hairline, he will probably be naturally bald before too long. He is not exceptionally tall, only 5' 10", but his broad-shouldered frame is layered with enough muscle to make him conspicous.
Brother Hector wears ash-grey robes that resemble those worn by the Fransicians, complete with hood and white rope belt, though he does own normal clothes and will wear them if it is prudent. Heavy boots are visible under the hem, and the medallion he wears depicts a European-style dragon with its tail coiled around its neck and a cross on its back.
Powers:
-Strength: 20 ton lifting capability. 'Nuff said.
-Durability: Part of lifting 20 tons is not snapping a hip. Bludgeoning attacks, crushing implements, and ballistics are virtually useless against him, while stabbing and cutting injuries are partially effective. They break the skin, but his muscles are tough as cured leather, making it hard for a normal person to really do any damage that way. Anything else affects him normally, and he has become wary of burns.
-Power of Faith: Minor abilities that, while useful, aren't very powerful. The ability to create light is the most-used ability, but the most useful are the Eyes of Faithwhich allow him to see a person's true nature. He sees people as they are, not as they appear, and things that are beyond mortal view.
-Weapon: Reliquary Blade
Brother Hector carries a short, thick-bladed weapon. It resembles a Roman gladius, but no legionaire ever carried a blade with a Crusader's Cross etched on the base of the blade. A fragment of steel about the size of a man's thumb is held in a setting on the pommel, almost like a gem's setting on a ring but much heavier and more secure. The fragment is a piece of St. George's shattered sword, and the weapon itself is one of fifty forged by the Ordo Draconis. What little power of St. George's sword remains allows the weapon to pierce defenses that would normally stop even someone as strong as Brother Hector. As far as anyone can tell, the weapon is indestructible, having survived catastrophies that should have rendered it a molten mass of slag or a twisted, shatter heap. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of its wielders. The sword has outlived dozens of warriors, but always manages to find its way back to the Order to be carried by another.
History: Hector Corvalis, third of four children born to John and Claire Corvalis, was a bit of a problem child. He was imprisoned at 18 for robbing a liquor store. While he was incarcerated, the prison was frequently visited by the local priests, and he eventually found his way back to the Catholic church. How exactly he went from penitent youth to a knight of the Ordo Draconis is not a subject normally open for discussion, but he will tell anyone asking that his meta powers did not emerge until after he rejoined the Church. Anyone asking about his Order gets more or less the same information from him: The Order of the Dragon was named for the legend of St. George, and is composed of individuals willing to take up arms to protect the Church and anyone not able to protect themselves. They are, in his words, Crusaders without the good sense to go find a Crusade. He is also more than willing to discuss the meaning behind the Order's symbol, but no one ever asks.

An armor-piercing sword really shouldn't bother a demon-blooded character any more than the Holy Knight slinging divine lights and random blessings around. And isn't the ring energy box thingie you folks are Frodoing around anti-demon?

No, I just read a couple books. My memory is shitty. Scottie can attest to that. He's been trying to train me to fix million-dollar aircraft components, and the best I've managed thus far is to not set anything on fire and to keep a running list of bits that would make for cool Warhammer 40K conversion parts. I have a plan for a power plant made from a cooler assembly.
Besides, if we want to start ruling out cliched characters, it rules out a few of you people too. The well-meaning thief who must rise above her dark heritage, the hero who saw his world die and must carry the burden, the Flash rip-off, and the 300 joke just waiting to happen.

I was unaware that many heros saw an entire world burn.
Then again, I was also unaware Gravitas can legitimately be called a 'Hero'.

At the moment, you qualify as hero because you're doing hero-y things. And in RPG's, it's usually a home village, or family, or city. You just played it on a bigger scale.

While all the pictures aren't yet up, or even finished, I have been working on a project to render the entire team as characters in City of Heroes. In an effort to make the process as genuine as possible, I have also converted the characters to their closest approximations in the CoH power trees (sorry, I didn't feel like using CoV).
So far, the list is as follows:
Argent: Dark/Dark Defender (Teleport)
Blast: Energy/Energy Blaster (Fitness)
Gravitas: Gravity/Radiation Controller (Teleport)
Legacies: Spines/Regen Scrapper (Super Speed)
Hotfoot: Fire/Fire Tank (Super Speed)
Tachyon: Fire/Fire Blaster (Teleport)
Blackheart: Peacebringer (Yeah, I know, but it actually works)
That's all for now, but of course I can always do others as requested. The pictures will be coming as I complete more characters and get the chance for some nice action shots. Of course, catch me online and I'll send you some choice shots from what I have so far.

Apparently he's only done those in the current main group, as the story, for the most part, focuses on them.

Also, their descriptions were more freshly in my mind, hence why I started with them. I had Nitram and Frigid online when I started, Legacies stuck out as a silver Carnage, and Hotfoot, well...*shrugs*Dark Silver wrote:Apparently he's only done those in the current main group, as the story, for the most part, focuses on them.
Oddly enough, Ghost is pretty easy to do, though he obviously gets a massive power boost in some respects. He'll likely be a Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster with the Stealth sub-set. Dunno exactly how to do Saibot, likely a Force Field Defender of some flavor. Had a talk with B4 about Kyosuke and Tarot, while I can't quite nail them into specific areas, I can do character mockups.
Of course, the big thing I need are basic descriptions of hairstyles, body type, and of course the most common outfits.
