Dave Williams record setting spacewalk in pictures. Check out the one with the airlock door, I had no idea it was so flimsy.

Parts of the original Apollo capsules were as thin as two sheets of aluminum foil. the thing is if it does not have to be heavy why make it heavy? you only have to withstand a pressure change of one atmosphere.
