And I'm sure nobody wants to listen to the sweet sweet sounds of Blackheart moaning and groaning in pleasure or pain...

Boys, think about this a moment.
The Game Room at the top of the stairs not only had all the techtoys, but it's own refridgerator. The Family Room is seperated from the Kitchen by an island, has those large glass doors out onto the patio/pool area (as well as other large windows), and Li Na's bedroom is on the other side of the wall.
I will also point this out:
Argent's house is Feng-Shui'd just the way she wants it. The last person who trashed her house was crushed, strangled, nearly drowned, and then thrown into a volcano. Now if you boys feel lucky and think you can convince her its' ok, you could have moved the stuff while she was in Chicago. But ask yourselves... do you feel lucky?

No Tev you think about it.
Neither the teenagers or the older boys are gonna be happy with the idea. The teens don't care if they have to walk to the kitchen but they do care about having to go through someone's bedroom. Also do you want them both right next door if Argent decides to visit of course you don't. Frankly my bet is Blackheart moved the TV down himself and told to stay the hell out first time he was woken up at 5am by the sound of video game alien death.

FIRST: You do not walk thru the BEDROOMS to get to the GameRoom. Geesh, can't anyone read a Blueprint?
Second Floor: Staircase goes into the Gameroom, and the Bedrooms are down a hall to the side.
But Fine. Whatever. It's not like I'm able to actually put up a fuckin' 3-d walk-thru, now is it.

I'm operating under the assumption that there weren't any major timeskips and that Tobin and Collin were playing games at the same time the super-serious talk was going on, just to keep things from getting too confusing, and to finally get certain information that needed to get out...out there.
If this is a major problem I will naturally edit my post, but I was tired of keeping my tab dedicated to holding my post in preview form.

Wallace Dathe, aka The Artist
Age: 27 (technically)
Appearance: 5'10", excellent physical condition, blond hair buzzed short and a few days' stubble, semi-circular scar around left eye. He almost looks like Bruce Willis, but leaner and a little less weathered. And less old.
Metapowers:
Temporal Disconnection: Wallace is capable of disconnecting himself from the flow of time and functioning outside of it. Essentially, the world stops and he keeps moving. He does not age when disconnected, but other biological functions continue normally. He does not really take things with him when he disconnects, but it usually doesn't matter, as he can just move the frozen objects normally.
Material Disconnection: Similar to his primary power, this one allows him to act independantly of the physical world. In effect, walk through walls. Unlike his primary power, he can take things with him, but the effect on electronics is usually detrimental and he has yet to figure out how to take living creatures with him. While Disconnected, he cannot affect anything, or even make noise, though light still reflects off of him the same way, leaving him visible but otherwise a ghost. Trying to solidify when occupying the same space as anything more substantial than gases and vapors causes massive damage to the molecular structure of the overlapping objects, so he has to be very careful.
Wallace Dathe grew up in Georgetown, TX, a small community just north of the state capital. He lived a normal life, went to school, made friends. When he was fifteen, his powers activated, and he spent a year trapped inside a frozen world. For the first month, he was convinced he was insane. Eventually, he managed to turn it off, and his new state of mind led his family to assume that he actually was crazy. Dragged to mental health professionals, he convinced a few of them that he wasn't, who in turn told Mr. and Mrs Dathe that their son was a meta, and would need a lot of support while he learned to control his abilities. By the time he was seventeen (by the rest of the world's perspective of time), he had managed to get his life back on track, start catching up in school, and he graduated high school a year late at 19. He decided he wasn't going to college, and just disappeared when his parents argued.
He resurfaced a month later in LA. He tried to make a living as an artist, and while he managed to produce massive amounts of fairly good artwork, no one makes much money as an artist. Crime offered a means of income, and inside of two years, he was a career criminal. Eventually, he wound up as a freelance agent for various illegitimate organizations across the country, and the jobs he accepted became progressively worse until he became a hitman. His trademark was to give his employers painfully detailed drawings of the job in progress, made while he sat outside of time. Wallace finally had an attack of conscience and quit last year. A few individuals have tried to pull him back in, but they have been unsuccessful. On two occasions, he pushed back, and the body count so far has been impressive.

Hey, would you look at that, a character with no hard counter except someone else who can stop time.
I mean, being Kitty Pryde isn't that bad, especially since presumably energy attacks would still work, especially those in the visible spectrum. The whole "Captain N" thing? Nah dude, not seeing it. I mean, all you would ever have to do is stop time, fire a gun at everyone's head and move on, or some other such thing. Like, oh, I don't know, stopping time, then grabbing a rock, then putting it in someone's head.
Most characters here have some sort of hard counter, a way they can be stopped even while their powers are active. I don't see a hard counter for this guy outside of his clone, which is never a good sign.

BloodyGood's spoken to me about this. He is wanting to have worked with Argent (and Ember) in the past, and thus getting an introduction through Argent.
Of course, we all know how far Blackheart will trust someone from Argent's criminal days....

Yeah, no controlling time, please. Hotfoot is right, that is just way too powerful.

We've got a villain with total control of time, and a party member who can slow it down. We don't need another, and it is a pretty easily abused power.

Duely note that I have never authorized this character. In fact, having seen the writeup for it, I'm not that impressed with it or eager to have it in game. While I may have stated that it sounded ilke an interesting character, that is not the same thing as a go ahead.

Worse than the time control (because that cat is well out of the bag and the overly broad power he chose could be rewritten) is the professional hitman status. He has no reason to be on good terms with anyone in the group and the group has no desire to have an underworld murderer in its ranks.
Ex him out.

What, being a god capable of cracking the globe like a china plate is fine but a .22 is too far? Jeez. Fine, lemme work for a while.

whose a god capable of cracking the globe like a china plate?
Last I checked, the closest one was Gravitas, and he'd have to let go all his bindings for that to occur.

What Gravitas says he can do and what he can really do are two different things. He's immensely powerful, but he's also the subject of megalomaniac mental taint effects.Dark Silver wrote:whose a god capable of cracking the globe like a china plate?

Alrighty, character 2.1 is ready. Nothing over the top. I promise, no Paladins, no preaching, and no Lawful Anal character alignment. And you folks could use a dedicated tank. All your brawlers are dual-role as something else, and you've got enough blasters already.
Brother Hector Corvalis
Age: 29
Appearance: Brother Hector looks like a man at peace with the world. A perpetual smile graces his countenance, and makes it difficult to notice the faint scars that are all that remain from his youth as a hell-raiser. His head is shaved bald, but his hair color is dark enough to make out the stubble, and judging on the location of his hairline, he will probably be naturally bald before too long. He wears ash-grey robes that resemble those worn by the Fransicians, complete with hood and white rope belt, though he does own normal clothes and will wear them if it is prudent. Heavy boots are visible under the hem, and the medallion he wears depicts a European-style dragon with its tail coiled around its neck and a cross on its back.
Powers:
-Strength: 20 ton lifting capability. 'Nuff said.
-Durability: Part of lifting 20 tons is not snapping a hip. Bludgeoning attacks, crushing implements, and ballistics are virtually useless against him, while stabbing and cutting injuries are partially effective. They break the skin, but his muscles are tough as cured leather, making it hard for a normal person to really do any damage that way. Anything else affects him normally, and he has become wary of burns.
-Power of Faith: Minor abilities that, while useful, aren't very powerful. The ability to create light is the most-used ability, but the most useful are the Eyes of Faith, which allows him to see a person's true nature. He sees people as they are, not as they appear, and things that are beyond mortal view.*
History: Hector Corvalis, third of four children born to John and Claire Corvalis, was a bit of a problem child. He was imprisoned at 18 for robbing a liquor store. While he was incarcerated, the prison was frequently visited by the local priests, and he eventually found his way back to the Catholic church. How exactly he went from penitent youth to a knight of the Ordo Draconis is not a subject normally open for discussion, but he will tell anyone asking that his meta powers did not emerge until after he rejoined the Church. Anyone asking about his Order gets more or less the same information from him: The Order of the Dragon was named for the legend of St. George, and is composed of individuals willing to take up arms to protect the Church and anyone not able to protect themselves. They are, in his words, Crusaders without the good sense to go find a Crusade. He is also more than willing to discuss the meaning behind the Order's symbol, but no one ever asks.
*If you are familiar with the Dresden Files book series, compare the Eyes of Faith to a mage's Third Eye. Never saw the show, so I'm not referencing it.

We could pump up the Power of Faith a little to bring him up to speed later if it becomes an issue. As far as Argent, being a reformed criminal himself, a sordid past won't bother him as long as you don't knock over gas stations and shoot hookers in your free time. Think of him as a thinner version of Friar Tuck. Which reminds me. I'll add more details to his appearance later on, once the important bits have been given the Stamp of Approval.
And I have fed Taylor a few introductory ideas. How exactly he wants to play it is naturally up to him, but they're fairly mess-free. Maybe a half-page of "Hi, my name is ____, and I'm a super hero."
