Saibot took the bowl of food from the shadow tendril, the faceplate slide off to the side, and he began to eat.
"My lifesupport field won't go down unless I do... So if stop glowing, it's because I'm already dead, or unconcious."

He took another bite of the chicken and rice, before adding, "I'll need to recharge my ring before we go, i was intending to make it a evening raid when I was going alone..."

Lei paused briefly, giving Blackheart a sideways glance at the 'gangster' comment. "I am glad you liked it. I did not know how 'hot' you like your food, so it's simply General Tso Chicken." She pointed at Saibot with her chopsticks. "I gave him the Suezuan I'm eating. But he is Cajun, so he may not choke on the spices." She was clearly teasing Saibot for digging in without asking or thinking. After all, she liked her Seuzuan -hot-, and Zufu knew her preference.

She took a few more bites as Blackheart pointed out Blast would need recharged. "I think Saibot's evening attack might be best. The shadows will be longer, so I may be able to get us further inside the building." It was a trick she'd used before; following the late evening shadows through a window to reach the back of a store.

"Sounds good," said Blackheart. Saibot and Blast charge up and your powers work better. And for the record anything below Tai standard of "hot" is good."

"I will remember that," Lei replied, a touch of amusement brushing those gathered. "The next question is where are they." Her gaze went to Saibot, the only one who knew. "Above ground? Below? Windows or not? I will assume some kind of security that we will need to remove or avoid. What do you know of their safehouse, Saibot?"

Unfortunately, she feared his answer would be light on detail. Garth was as subtle as a jackhammer on concrete. He had probably planned on breaking down the front door and then kicking ass as needed. At least Blackheart and Gravitas were here to temper him.

"Underground, in the ruins to the west of Millinium. It's a complex in the sewer system, with several entry points in buildings above it apparently, but he could only give me the location of one of them. No idea the numbers below, or any defenses they will have set. I intended to go in through the sewers themselves, and find a way in that way...."

"... Sewers." It was clear that Argent was not pleased with the idea. Revulsion and a general feeling that one could only describe as 'ick!' tinged the air. "I can only hope since this area is mostly deserted the pipes will be cleaner."

"Expect the worst," said Blackheart, "and always have a spair costume."

"It'd probably be better if someone went ahead and scouted things out, if Argent can pull off that teleport trick she did earlier when Legacies and I were trapped under that building....she can bring the rest of the group in. And since I have the most utility in my ring, and I know where it's located...I'm volunteering to head out. Once i send a all clear, Argent can bring everyone in."

Saibot took another bite of the chicken, then checked the time. it was still early afternoon, a few hours yet till he intended to make the strike.

"Besides, a single person mucking about will make less noise than entire group."

Argent looked down at her food, frowning. "I ... I'm not sure how I did that," she admitted.

Fucking amateurs, thought Blackheart. "Saibot goes. Argent has that very handy connection so you can act as a teleport beacon for her. If that fails we go to plan B."

Argent glanced over to Blackheart, sensing his annoyance. Would he rather she had lied and said she could? "What is plan B," she asked simply.

"Probably me punching through the layers of concrete and bringing the whole facility down on top of them." Gravitas murmured. "Messy, crude, but effective at times."

"Actually breaching a hole and going in. We don't know if that sick fuck has some innocents inside to use as guinea pigs to test out his nasty powers on."

"I have never faced them," Argent said. "What are their powers, other than the gas they use?"

"Run the entire gaument of just about everything they could possibly have. Wall-walkers, acid spitters, energy casters, mindfreaks, shapeshifters, and other shit we'd probably be better off not knowing. No one even knows what Freakshow himself is capable of. Doesn't mean he's immortal though."

Saibot finished off the food, cracked his neck, and looked around. "I'm going to head out. I'll give my ring a quick charge, and meet back at the agency. Unless you got other plans Hero." he looked at Blackheart when he said that.

"Immortals are surprisingly easy to dispose of. Being sucked into a singularity is decidedly eternal." Gravitas said darkly. "But yes, a gentle hand is needed until we run into them. With no offense to the rest, I'll try my hand at Freakshow."

"It's a little early to be calling dibs," said Blackheart. "Whoever gets a good shot at Freakshow should take it. This isn't going to go down nice and neat with them lining up so that we can match strength to weakness. We need to hit fast and hard to maximize surprise and for all we know he could be the first guy we see or out at the movies. Just flatten every bad guy in reach and call for help if you get over your head."

"Right. We go in, we hit them hard, we take them out. If you have a open shot at Freakshow, take it."

Saibot's ring glowed as the blue aura surronded him. He looked to Argent, "Let's see if you can find me" he said, then flew off into the air.

Blast gobbled down the last of his noodles and rolled his mask back down. This was getting to be a pain.

"I got questions. Do we call for evac Argent the minute we find prisoners or other wanna call em... Noncombatants? And have her teleport them out or what? Can we blow the place once we're sure it's just us and them or are we gunning for prisoners able to speak? Cause I'm sure that taking out the whole place means that even the surviviors aren't among the awake and the moblie anymore." He asked.

Lei turned back to the conversation after watching Saibot fly away. She knew his first stop: to the apartment for a recharge. After that came the challenge.

Can we blow the place once we're sure it's just us and them or are we gunning for prisoners able to speak? Cause I'm sure that taking out the whole place means that even the surviviors aren't among the awake and the moblie anymore," Blast asked.

"What makes you think they would have prisoners?" Argent asked. "Not all safehouses are like that of the Astronomer, Blast, nor do they take prisoners. It is far too troublesome and brings unwanted attention."

She and Ember never took prisoners, leaving any guards or civilians behind singed but mainly unharmed. Murder brought too much attention, from cops and media. A quiet robbery was never as newsworthy, and the cop getting the collar would not be in front of cameras receiving medals. That attitude had kept Ember and Argent in the shadows to quietly make a living, and had Ember not met Abaddon or the Astronomer, Argent would still be there.

Of course, the present situation had its advantages as well.... "Blackheart, if you wish I can take Blast somewhere to recharge himself."

"Freakshow twists minds and bodies. He could very well have prisoners in there and it might be better for some of those poor bastards if they didn't make it out. It could be very, very bad in there. As for what we do, we aren't going for a collateral damage record. We hit them hard and fast but we don't try to level the block. If we have to, we have to, but seeing if we can kill innocent bystanders isn't plan A. And yeah, drop Blast off for a recharge."

Argent simply nodded, allowing Blackheart's experience to be better in this instance. Her black-on-black eyes turn towards Blast. "Whenever you are ready, I will take you where you need."

Blast took a hard slug from his soda, rolling it around in his mouth before swallowing it and rolling his mask back down.

"I'll need an energy source, non-nuclear. An open electic socket would be fine." He said standing up.

Amazingly enough, Saibot's trip to the apartment took only a few minutes, in the spanse of the rest of the team's conversation, he had transversed the distance, with a bit of help from the speedboost of his sword.

He let himself in off the roof, he didn't want to let the civilians see him in his costume. Getting to his apartment was without incident, and moments later, he was out of his uniform, his ring was placed in the ancient wooden box which would recharge its energies, and his sword was hung, in it's sheath, on the small, alterlike table.

He walked out of his sanctum - the place of both fond memories and utter torture to him - and stepped into the kitchen. He grabbed a beer, sat in the couch, and watched a blank wall for a few minutes, sipping it.

Argent would be bringing Blast somewhere to recharge...he could sense her still through the link, though it was distant, his mental abilities far lower than hers.

"Bring him here...." he hought at her though the link, his mouth moving to echo the words in his mind. May as well let the kid be comfortable before going to hell's gullet.

He had a feeling the fight with the Freak Legion would be long, gruesome, and test all of thier mental limits.

Argent nodded to Blast, the shadows gathering around her as she took her dragonform. "Where shall we meet..." she started, then the dragonic head tilted slightly as if hearing something far away. The silver eyes then refocused on Blackheart. "Will you remain here, or is there another place you wish to meet?"
