"Perhaps that may indeed work, at least until the rock is broken down into component atoms at which point it would break the binding runes and we'd be back to square one.

"At the moment my worry is not of what to do with Abaddon, but if there are more out there."

"Time dialation, my dear mystic." Gravitas smiled. "It'd last for.. Well, probably longer than our sun will. Depends on the hole." He shrugged a bit. "Until we see some signs he's coming back, I'll focus on the immediate. Anything big and nasty we have to fret about?"

Kyosuke smiled.
"My appologies. My knowledge of astro physics and spacial relativity is limited. It was not exactly a readily available major at Monk U.

"Immediately, my concern would be that whoever modified the host for Abaddon has created more and possibly summoned and/or bound additional demons into additional bodies. As for big and nasty, take your pick of religion and mythology, my dear alien. If someone has found a way to create demonhosts and put the demons inside of them then the numbers are limited only by how many bodies they have. The power potentital is, however, unlimited. Christianity itself has has hundreds of demons. I could easily name a few dozen off the top of my head, not including the Morningstar. If we go to other religions where demons and spirits are more common you have everything from the djinn to kitsune.

"This is not something that I would care to have happen."

"Not quite what I meant... But you have a strong point. As I said, I've seen similar hocus-pocus at work, although that was to bind something supernatural up to the point it wasn't capable of acting." Gravitas mused. "But the question is, barring making a little side trip into whatever particular horrific underworld spawned Abaddon, how do we locate the individuals responsible?"

"Talk to the guy's ghost?" Blast asked.

"That is the question, Gravitas.." Argent said sadly. "I had thought that perhaps the Astronomer's base might hold some answers, but Kyosuke-san could find no trace of demon-taint. The only evil there was fully human." she added in disgust.

"Ghost?"

Kyosuke blinked and looked over at Blast.
"I hadn't thought of that but it may be possible. But, it's commonly held that ghosts are wandering souls. And correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't pacts with the infernal in Christianity often preclude the soul's wandering? I thought they were normally part and parcel of a demonic contract that Hell retained the soul afterwards.

"But, if you know something I don't then by all means let me know. Christianity wasn't my strong point of spiritual study, so I don't know how a ghost would be formed or maintained under an aspect of it.

"...thinking about it, do we posess a person who spirit talks?"

"No one came forth and added it to their resume." Gravitas shrugged, then his lips twitched in amusement. "Unless that's considered part and parcel for godhood."

Kyosuke glanced over at Gravitas.
"Isn't omniscence a minimum requirement?

"Regardless, it certainly is not on my list of abilities. I can not speak with spirits."

"Only for Abrahamic deities." Gravitas chuckled. "I see myself having more in common with the Olympians. Hell, I'm at least as foolhardy and arrogant as Zeus, and around as clever as Hephaetus."

"Indeed. Again, western religions are not my specialty. But omniscence usually is not a requirement in my area either. Though there are some that would be more then happy to let you believe otherwise...

"Now, if we can get back to the task at hand. Do we have a ghost to talk to? And can we find a spirit talker?"

Legacies finished his trip around the city after a short talk with Jonah about some sparce details of what had happened to him. By the time he'd left, sirens could be heard, no doubt coming to pick up the men and get them to the hospital.

Legacies swung around the corner of a building, bringing the headquarters of his new 'job' into view. The tendril attached to the building quickly released and Legacies somersaulted through the air, landing easily on the roof. The silver figure lifted his arms above his head in a stretch motion and then made his way down into the building proper.

"Ghost are possible. Satan and his demons are not perfect nor all powerful, so it is possible that a soul could slip their grasp, I suppose. Just very unlikely. Alot of ghost stories have them being called from the afterlife by demands or unfinished business. Some folk traditions in Europe have ghost wandering around quiet often. But if we want to know if we got anyone who could, shouldn't we ask our bosses?" Blast looked over at Blackheart.

"No," said Blackheart. "Our bosses are just managers. They read files and send us around to keep a lid on things. We don't want bureaucrats we need bonified experts. I can try to dig one or two up, but it'll cost and I'm not talking about money. Anyone have better options?"

"Figure out which particular Hell Abaddon came from, and drop by to ask?" Gravitas shrugged a bit. "Mind you, they're not going to be pleased to see living people around. No, I got nothing."

"How badly do you want to talk to him?" asked Blackheart. "What are you willing to do? You want to go further down this road, you better have asked and answered those questions. The people I have to ask are deep black spooks, alphabet soup agencies and military projects no one is going to admit exits. That's who you'll be trading favors with."

"Should not our first priority be to see if we have a spirit to deal with," Kyosuke asked, an eyebrow raised.
"I fail to see the neccessity of obtaining a speaker if we have nothing for them to speak to.

"Another question, did Ultima recover the body of Abaddon?"

"There wasn't much to recover. I hit him with basically a new sun and Gravitis was tearing into him with enough force to tear the planet in half. Blackheart wasn't holding much back either." Blast said, he suppressed a shudder. Abaddon reminded him way to much of that...thing he had fought before he had met Blackheart and joined Ultima, there was a difference in appearence and that thing had never spoke a word, just animal howls, but they both felt the same...Vile.

Legacies heard discussion, the team was talking, about Abaddon. A shudder was quickly repressed as the silver figure remembered the fight. Eventually, he saw them.

"We are speaking to the dead now? It is believed that Abaddon may return?"

"If there is something spiritual left over, I should be able to feel it. I was hoping that the body had been recovered, it could give us some information to backtrack. Or at least let us figure out how the body was modified..."
