Legacies looked over at Avatar, or was he Alex now? Most confusing.

Ahh... So the Japanese meta was a sorcorer... No wonder he was interesting in Demons. It did little to assure Lei of his good intentions, especially when he revealed his 'pet'... The discussion between Avatar and Gravitas was far over her head, and she promptly ignored it, merely dropping a kiss to the top of Garth's head before rising to step out to the balcony.

As she passed Blackheart she tried to catch his eye, to silently ask him to join her outside.

Em had a headache... She had stayed silent as she watched the fight. Constantly drinking. Unfortunately for her the alcohol had lowered her ablility to keep people out of her head. Everything everyone was thinking about saying was hitting her seconds before they said it causing a horrible echo effect. She had lond since moved to nursing a bottle of whiskey. She looked ill as she sat down on the floor.

-shut up... everyone just shut up for a second.... Please- She whispered, softly across everyones mind, figuring they wouldn't hear her. She closed her eyes and raised a hand to her temple.

While everyone else argued, Garth found it was killing his buzz.

"Mother fuckers..." he said beneath his breath, as Lei kissed his head then walked away.

He lifted a hand, his ring glowed slowly, and suddenly the sounds of cancan music filled the air, as a small band formed from solid energy over his head, and hundreds of little cancan dancers appeared around the room, even on the shoulders of others, and began dancing.

"It's a fucking party people, act like it!" he said, grabbing the whiskey bottle again, and began to drink.

"Sorry man... this is what happens when geeks come to a party. It is why no one invites us" Avaar said as he excused himself from the little argument for a moment to pull a guiness out of the cooler and open the bottle. Taking a good gulp, he stepped back over to Gravitas

"well legacies, if you dont have another way to frame the sentences in a way which is both grammatically correct, and non-offensive, please feel free to either join the conversation of remove yourself from it. I have already apologized to her for it, but it cannot be helped"

Then the cancan dancers showed up

"Hey this isnt right... wierd...kinda fun...but wierd"

Legacies looked at the doctor, tempted for a brief moment to throw him out of a window for his impertinence. This was not reflected in any of Legacies body movements and without a face it was impossible to see. Though if Argent had been in the room she may have been able feel it.

Legacies was dismissing the thought as the can can dancers appeared around the room. Legacies simply stood still, watching all the dancers before turning to look at Saibot. "Truly Saibot. We are speechless."

The lips on the small mouth curled up in a brief smile.

Lei paused, hearing not only the whisper but also catching the pain it was causing Em. "Em... that is why I do not drink. You should have been more cautious," she told the young woman, not unkindly. "Perhaps you should go someplace more quiet until you have regained control of your powers."

"Don't know...let's find out" he said, as he looked over at the girl with the whiskey bottle, and suddenly a beam of energy shot out towards her from his ring.

Freed from battlefield restraint by the liquor, his imagination, and thus the ring ran wild, the beam surronded her head, and formed a set of bongo's over them, with little doodads and blinkies upon the outer surface.

"Tell me how that works" he said slightly giddy, grinning to himself in satisfaction...even as the Can-Can dancers kickedup thier legs, the ones on Avatar's head "accidently" kicking him in the cheeks...

Em almost laughed at the can caners.

"I'm fine... or will be... It's never been like this before. I.. think... it's because of the high tension... I just need to get away for a minute like you said..." She stood, almost falling. She felt sick. She steadied herself and teleported to the roof, hoping it would help.

She was sadly mistaken...

"That.. wasn't quite what I imagined...." Lei replied, one hand going to her mouth as Garth's imagination ran wild all around Blackheart's apartment and provided Em with a (hopefully) useful block against the voices breaking through her weakened shields.

"Garth ... is drunk?" Lei offered in explaination. His ring's powers she knew were based on two things: imagination and will. In short, the ring was wish-fulfillment.

As Lei was explaining his ring, and Em teleported, the bongo's still hovered in the air.

Garth kicked back, let the bongo's fade, and swigged more whiskey. Suddenly, the mini band switched from the average can-can music to the opening bars of "New York New York"

Suddenly, Gravitas had a tophat on and a cane in hand, and Garth was starting to sing..

Start spreading the news....

Kyosuke looked around at the dancing illusions. What in the name of Aka-oni were these people on?

When he was offered a bottle of some unknown beverage he was weary. He accepted it and held it up to the light, looking at the liquid held within. The label was indecipherable to him, not speaking french. He raised the bottle to his lips tentantively and took a sip. It was...fruity. He supposed this was a form of wine, not tasting like the normal liquid poison that he hd found passed as alcohol in America. Budweiser, king of beers indeed.

He found the taste not to be as unpleasent as that of beer but believed it still didn't compare to a nice plum wine. He handed the bottle back to Gravitas and flicked one of the can-can dancers off his shoulder. Its constant moving and dancing was worse then Kubira. She at least didn't stand constantly in the corner of his vision distracting him. No she stood right in front of him distracting him.

Without the wall to filter out the entire city's thoughts Em felt like her head was going ot explode.

"JesusChrist!" She clutched her hands to her ears in a vain attempt to block out the voices. She fell to her knees and plunged into darkeness the voices following her.

Do you want it to stop?

With that the voice showed itself, the monster from before. It lashed out and grabbed her. She screamed and an psychic pulse flew at the monster, causing it to drop her, she fell back to the ground on the roof. The damage done to the roof access.

You need me.

Lei froze, staring up at the roof, catching Emily's fear. "EM's in Danger!" she shouted to the drunken heros. "Something's attacking her!"

She switched to shadowform, mentally cateloging which heros were physically able to help. It was a short list. The wings and whip-like tail of the dragon lashed out, touching Gravitas, Legacies, ... and Kyosuke.

A moment of blackness as she pulled them through the shadows to the roof, where Em had fallen. A large dent mangled the normal roof access door, leaving no other way to get there other than flying.

Legacies slowly stood, glancing at Argent briefly.

"We grow weary of your impetious behavior Argent. We had heard this ones cries."

Legacies looked away from Argent as the silver figure scanned it's surroundings without moving.

Kyosuke had appeared on the roof suddenly, transported by the demon. This was not something he had asked for. He scanned the sky for movement, wondering what in the nine hells was going on.

Gravitas grunted as he vanished through the shadow. The Realms Between were not for him, that was for damn sure. "Legacies, save it for when things are not about to go to Hell, how about?" The Nova said bluntly, throwing up fields around those transported to deflect attacks.

Em stirred and sat up slowly. Looked at the Heros infront of her and the shelid that Gravitas had just put up.

"You don't need that. I wasn't attacked. Well... I mean it's inside of me. Has been ever since the Astronomer."

Thankfully the voices had phased out. She rubbed her head.

It wasn't good, Lei could feel Em's pain and figure out the cause. "She's wide open to everything... hearing everyone's thoughts across the city." -stupid girl, first drinking then teleporting up here? First thing I learned was how dangerous that is!-
