"What does a Priest know of hunting anyways? We should go look for him then, does he live nearby?" Jason asked if he was alive his blood would be singing. His lips peeled back showing his teeth has he considered the possibility of a good hunt.

Father Leonard fidgeted. "Maybe we should search for him? Or do you intend to go about your . . . " he hesitated and they said with distaste, "bloodshed?"

"If he got jumped by somebody backing O'Banion, we need to hit back, hard and fast, show 'em not to fuck with us," he growled. "We wait a little while longer, then we go ahead."

And if Rossi was fucking around, to hell with him. Wright would defend his turf with what he had.

Time slipped by with no sign of Rossi. Father Leonard was irritatingly calm and smug as the minutes slipped past and an hour past.

Wright paced irritably. Finally, he snarled "Fuck this shit. Can either of you drive?" as he hefted the BAR.

Sliding spare magazines into the pockets of his jacket, he hefted the BAR and headed for the door.

Father Leonard slid into the back seat, his sword in his lap as it was virtually impossible to sit comfortably with it concealed.

Jason plopped down on the passenger seat, keeping ahold of his firearm. He looked around in the car curious, he had never been in one before. It didn't look like much.

Wright watched the streets as they drove, unaware that his fangs were showing again. He'd never done one like this, precisely. Sure, he'd fought before, even bashed skulls on a couple of National Guardsmen who'd gotten in his way back in PA back in the day.

But he'd never gone on a hardcore wipeout job like this. This was... gangster shit.

"Park us up a couple of blocks short, Ralph," he ordered suddenly, realizing it might not be best to just pull up and pile out in front of the place.

Springing out, Wright moved into the shadowed side of the street and began walking quickly toward the warehouse. He was obviously not the biggest fan of detailed plans of attack or proper reconnaisance.

A single guard was on the outside, smoking a cigarette. Who needs guards when the major gangs are at peace and the cops are paid off? His eyes widened as he saw Wright's BAR and his hand went inside his jacket.

In true cinematic style, Wright leveled the BAR and pulled the trigger.

Suddenly... nothing happened.

Snarling at what he assumed to be a defective weapon, he lunged forward as the guard finished drawing his weapon, jabbing straight ahead with the BAR as if it were a spear.

The thug pulled out a .38 and fired three times. One shot went wild, one clipped Wright in the shoulder, the other punctured his lung. Then Wright was upon him.

Burning hot metal pierced his flesh, driving his anger higher. Slamming forward with all of his strength and momentum, Wright jammed the BAR barrel into the guard's chest, smashing him into the wall. The contest between vampiric strength and mortal flesh and bone was a foregone conclusion, as the guard's sternum crunched sickeningly with the impact. Stepping back, the Brujah let the guard fall, then launched a savage kick into his face that shattered the bones into an unrecognizable mass.

Blood oozed from his wounds as he looked over at Chicken Boy. "Hey, he fired the first shot," he said, almost as if attempting to justify what he'd done. Then he turned the rifle over in his hands, locating the safety and flicking it. "Now for the rest."

Wright darted forward and kicked the door open, then raked the interior with a burst of fire. The recoil rocked him back slightly as he fired.

"Forgot the safety of all things," muttered Jason has he strode forward. He waited until Wright stopped firing and stepped into the warehouse looking around, checking for anything alive.

Wright's burst shattered casks of bear and sent waves of amber coloured, home brewed so-called beer over the floor. Three bootleggers scattered from the murderous vampires. One of them crouched behind several barrels and let loose with a spray from his drum fed tommy gun. The others pulled a revolver and an automatic and blasted inaccurately as they dived for cover.

Wright stepped behind a shattered batch of casks, ejecting the magazine and slamming a new one home.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he bellowed, before pivoting around the corner to unleash a new burst of fire.

Father Leonard made the sign of the cross oer the poor schmuk at the door, steppedin the building and drew his sword, one someone fired at him he could act.

Heavy 30'06 rounds cracked through the air, punching holes in the light wood of crates and shattering casks. The volume of fire was impressive and highly intimidating, but generally failed to impact on anything meaningful. Then, the gun jammed.

There was a sudden, ghastly silence, broken only by the sound of dripping casks. The moment stretched on into an eternity as Wright stared at the weapon that had betrayed him again.

The bootleggers rallied with alacrity, moving clear enough of their cover to start shooting back.

When shots began flying in his general direction, Leo dove out of the way and used the foul ailities he had inherited in order to defend himself. He moved with supernatural speed and cut into one of the bootleggers whohad been firing at him. Even without supernatural strength, the uppercut split open his abdomen spilling his entrailsonto the floor.

As Leo murdered the revolver bearing bootlegger by slicing him open from hip to navel, the one with the .45 emptied the rest of the clip at him. Most missed as the swift vampire retreated to cover, but one slug punched through his wrist, causing him to drop his sword.

Jason zeroed in on the Tommy gun bearing thug. That goon was his prey wheter he knew it or not now. He fired the shotgun at him snarling and charged right behind the lethal blast.
