Alex finished putting the beer away, and cooled the last one himself. Then he opened it up, and downed it in a few seconds.

"My cup runnuth over with salty goodness," said Blackheart as he accepted the salt and ran a lime around the edge of several glasses and then using the juice to adhere a lining of salt. "Voila!"

Garth set the pizza's out on a nearby counter, he had gotten damn near every type of pizza conceivable, and multiples of it. He didn't know how much these guys ate.

He nodded to Gravitas, Legacies, and Blackheart, grabbed a slice of pizza, and looked for the Jack Daniels.

"No thanks Hero," Garth said, his voice wasn't gravily like his helmet made him sound, and it was even rather warm, his hair close cropped and slightly fashionable. "Take a whiskey if you got it..."

Blackheart reached into a cupboard and slid the bottle down to Garth. "Knock yourself out."

Legacies stood beside the wall, simply watching everyone and keeping silent as they had their reverie. A tendril slowly slithered out, keeping against the wall and away from everyone's path as it entered the kitchen. The tendril openned the door to the frig and felt around for a moment before grabbing a soft drink. Encasing it the tendril slid back away from the frig, thoughtful enough to close the door behind it, and came back into the room where everyone else was, stopping infront of Argent.

Legacies said nothing and had not even looked in her direction, or any direction save his constantly blank stare that everyone felt.

As the bottle slide, Garth grabbed it up, and a translucent blue hard energy glass formed in his other hand, "Thanks, your a Scholar and a Gentleman, and I'll drink to your health" he intoned, pouring the energy construct with fine brown liquor.

He downed the first shot easily, grinned a bit ar Lei, and made his way to find the stereo, "What kind of music you listen to Hero? Hope you have some Classics.."

Cynical Cat wrote:"You're welcome," Blackheart said. "And a virgin margueritta is heresy and impossible. Sorry babe. You'll have to be satisfied raiding the soft drinks in the fridge."
"Oh... pity..." Lei replied, a touch wistfully. Still Alcohol and Empathy was a bad mix. If they'd thought she lost control during training, they should have seen her the first time she'd gotten drunk. Ah well... time to see what soda was in the fridge behind Blackheart as Garth set out the pizzas.

Lei blinked for a moment, staring at the tendril, then to Legacies as she accepted the drink. "Thank you..." Once more, the enigmatic one had confused her. What did he really think of her? It was clear he was removed from the party, closed up inside himself. She opened the can of Pepsi and took a sip, wondering to herself.

Gravitas simply raided a glass and poured some of his wine out. "Ah, bonding. Perhaps this will help with the tendency to be violent at each other." He smiled, drifting over to fellow wall-flower, Legacies. He glanced over at the man, who seemed to be as distant as ever.

"I know something about nearly everyone here.. Save you." He said simply. "Going for the strong, silent type routine, or just hate mixing with folks like me?"

The head of the silver figure did not turn to face Gravitas as he spoke to him. The small mouth curled up in a small smile however.

"Short lived." Gravitas considered, sipping his wine. "I don't think it'd make much difference if I mentioned how old I actually am, so I won't press the topic. At least tell me why you use the first person plural. Your suit thingy got a mind of it's own? I'd think you'd want it off sometimes."

The silver figure turned to look at Gravitas, dropping the matter of ages as well. "We are the suit and the being it inhabits. We are of one mind, and are bonded permanently. We are two skins, as fastened to flesh and bone as your skin is."

The suit's small mouth turned in a small smile. "What of you, do you have any more secrets? Or have you been unable to live with them anymore?"

"I have all the secrets one gets from living for many times my apparent age, and trying to live with the power that I have." Gravitas said simply, sipping the wine. "And they are meaningless secrets. Meaningless. Not a soul in this entire universe would care of them, for they are built around events, lifetimes, world-shattering events that never happened here. So there is no point, really."

A pause.

"The karaoke's not a secret, is it? That'd be the only relevent one."

Legacies smile would have turned cold if it hadn't already been. "And what if those events did start occuring here? As for the karaoke, we at least do not know of it. Though it is likely the government does. Perhaps you could avail us all with a song or two."

"Should the events of my past happen here.. I would die to stop them." Gravitas said, with a finality that was unusual for the man. "As for karaoke.. None of you has perpetrated nearly enough evil in your lives to deserve it. Trust me on this. Besides, I'm not nearly drunk enough." A gulp of wine. "Yet."

Lei listened to Gravitas and Legacies talk as she snagged a slice of pizza for herself. Garth was on his third shot of whiskey... no telling when he'd stop. She got the feeling he would drink the whole bottle if she let him.

Her black, pupiless eyes turned toward the new arrival, the Japanese hero whose name slipped her mind at the moment, only to find that he was staring at her.

Kyosuke's eyes continued to stay with Lei as she moved about the apartment. He had looked over the others as well, studying them to varying degrees. Some interested him more then others.

When she caught him staring at her he put on a face that was as blank and passive as could be, betraying none of the thoughts that his mind held. He turned away when he heard one of the others mention Karaoke. He groaned inwardly. Karaoke was a product of his country, much like cheap well built cars and bad samurai films. He looked at the man mentioning the dreadful action. He was a bit surprised to say the least by the man's appearance, almost expecting a japanese salaryman. But no. It was another American who was taken with the various bits and pieces of Japanese culture. He had heard Americans did this but hadn't realized they took up this aspect of the culture as well. Maybe his government was smarter then it appeared, secretly influencing foreign cultures with its own horrible singing till the next fad appeared.
"You are aware that Karaoke is japanese for tone-deaf, are you not? I was lead to believe this was a bonding experiance, not one of abuse and assault."

Em looked at Lei with a smile. -You do look great yanno. And damn near every guy in the place thinks so... not that you can't tell.- She giggled a little.

"Hey, Blackhert, you got another bottle of that somewhere? I think the stubbern one has claimed that particular one for himself." She wacthed as Garth walked over to the stero still carring the bottle of whiskey. "On second thought, I wouldn't want to show him up... I'll take one of thoes margaritias." It was almost a dare... almost.

"I'm not a kid..." She hissed through clenched teeth. She looked at A.J. "Tell him I'm not a kid!" She almost stamped her foot but thought better of it. Even if it would have been funny. She glared in mock anger at Blackheart and stuck out her tongue, making a face.

Blast drank down another beer, grabbed a warm one, cooled it down and drank it. In all honesty he prefered Jack Daniels or Rum to beer, but booze was booze.

"Em, I can blow up building with a wave of my hand and they call me kid. I think we're shit out of luck here. Want your drink cooled?" He said.

-Suuuure you're not a kid- Lei teasingly thought at her. -But do me a favor, and try to read the young Japanese man for me? He's been staring very hard at me, and not because of the shirt.-

Lei herself was trying to read Kyosuke, to get a feel for what he was thinking of all this.

Lei gave Blast a small smile. "Imagine how Legacies and Saibot feel with the 'kids' around... Ever heard of the Guardian Force, or played with the toys?" Yes, she was teasing Garth about his past again, as well as seeing if she was the only one who remembered that group of heros.
