#1 Clan buffs seems very ineffectual for the cost.

Post by Soontir948 »

From looking at the clan roster, most of us are above level 7 and those that are below are mostly in Hardcore right now in which the cost of these buffs are getting too high. It was great when a bunch of us first joined because plenty of us were all around level 1-5 but now it seems worthless.

We should do a couple other things perhaps, horde up the cash, lend meat to those that need it or at least buy items for them that'll help them along the way.
Each expensive clan buff is 77K. That's more than enough to stock someone well.

That's just me, what do you think?

I'm inclined to agree. I don't even get a point from the clan buff's anymore. I'm lvl 11 now, my other two characters are 7 and 8 respectively. It's pointless for most of us. Those of us who could still benefit from it aren't enough to warrent the cash expenditure. It would be much better spent hooking them up with good equipment and the right items such as potions of temporary gr8tness, scrolls of drastic healing, etc

Yeah, after I ascended I realized that the hardcores still count for the cost of buffing, but don't receive the benefit. So we're really getting ripped.

There doesn't seem to be much use for the treasury other than buying these buffs and the war room stuff. We still get the same benefit from the tree as long as its above 50k. Perhaps we should stop donating meat and either donate more items to the stash or send meat directly to new members? Although this will not help the hardcore players; perhaps send them items in gift boxes for later use?

I suggest we do a bit of research, and then compile a list of items that are fairly expensive, but everyone could use (Ascended ones could get a gift basket.) Then we take on a vote on the finalists, and then when we have enough meat, everybody gets one. Rinse and repeat. :)

Sabbac's plan is fine. For my own part, I'm perfectly content to continue hardcoring unassisted as I collect my plexiglass toys.

Potions of Temporary Gr8tness
Boris's Key Lime Pies
Scroll of Drastic Healing
Fuzz Bumps

Those 4 seem to be the best 4 consumables. Or the 4 best that I can think of off the top of my head.

Just to make sure: Nobody has 66 tiny plastic swords, right? Ridiculous Question. :P

Now, more seriously.
After some preliminary research, I compiled a short list of possible consumables, each of which is the best of its kind within our price range (the best booze is 60 million a glass.) From this list, and B4UTRUST's suggestions, I figured out the price of each item in terms of suppliers with a stock of 66 (our clan size) or higher, and then cross-referenced that with the utility of each item. Most are too low level to be worth it (a clan buff would be better) but two items still shown out as being possibilities:

Potion of Temporary Gr8tness and Hell Ramen

Now I realize that each of these items is fairly easily attainable for higher levels, but is still useful for them, and a god-send for newbies.
Considering the prices for each of these items, I figured that with a price cap of One million meat, each clan member could recieve a single item, one or the other. If that price cap is raised to two million, and so on, the number that can be given with each gifting obviously rises as well.

I am certainly open to other suggestions, but I would like to know what treasury should be at before a purchase is made How does one take meat from the Coffer anyways?

After a bit more research, the Meat Maid is also a possiblity following the same situation as above. However, the Bartender and Chef in the Boxes are not, unless the price cap 1.5 or 2 million.

Have we accounted that some of the accounts are multis and should be considered as one?

One more thing, I would really like all the members to get their butt over here because the Who's Who list only show twenty-three people.

I think we can only make clan purchases like the buffs and war stuff with the treasury which might make this more difficult.

Whoops, missed that.

Yeah, nobody can take meat from the clan coffer. Once it's there, it can only be spent.

ok, so we create a new character, a mule, level him up to at least be able to shop the mall, and we send any extra meat to him, so he can create the "Gift baskets" and send them out.

My character is already on the Clan list.

Sabacc, Hell Ramen ranges from 10-11.5k per serving depending on the market that day.

While Boris Key Lime Pies aren't as effective as Hell Ramen obviously for lower end members they're damned good. Really damned good. And cheaper too. You can get around 2, depending on market value of course, for around the price of 1 hell ramen.

And most of the ingredients are easily found or gotten by playing the daily dungeon and fruit game in the casino so we could make our own at reduced cost.

But Hell Ramen is a good thing. I think we should possibly divide the gift baskets up into sections like low level characters, medium levels, high levels, because different things are more worthwile and effective at various levels. Plus the cost savings of buying cheaper lower end items for low level players could be used to buy more stuff.

That sounds like a good idea, althogh it is a shame that the coffer cant be drawn on.

We still need to figure out what "mule" would buy, and who would run him.
I still propose the Gr8tness and Hell Ramen, but B4U makes a good point about the Key LIme pies. Perhaps we should distribute different items based on level.

Edit: I have created a mule, whose information I will relay when I recieve confirmation.

The only downside to the Gr8tness is that it's a temporary buff. Ramen and the Lime Pies add permanent stats, so they're a bit more effective overall, IMO.

Best items (not necessarily by cost, but by raw stat gains):

Muscle:
Knob Sausage Chow Mein (+74)
Spaghetti with Skullheads (+49.5)
Especially Salty Dog (+40.4)
Boris's Key Lime Pie (+30.2)

Mysticality:
Bat Wing Chow Mein (+72.5)
Fettucine Inconnu (+50.1)
Gnocchetti di Nietzsche (+49.9)
Especially Salty Dog (+38.8)

Moxie:
Rat Appendix Chow Mein (+72.6)
Knob Sausage Chow Mein (+72.5)
Gnoccheti di Nietzsche (+49.6)
Especially Salty Dog (+40.2)
