Lei sent the emotions flowing down the link as Ms Zedden cackled at his discomfort. "Like right now?" she asked pointedly, hoping that the woman would get the message. "At the moment, the link is so strong we not are influenced by each other's emotions, but physical pain passes down the link." Her eyes narrow as Rita cackles again, and Lei deliberately shoots that annoyance at the woman. It shuts up that whiny shrieky voice briefly, at least.

"Fine fine...I can set up some filters...but it's almost knock off time, come back tomorrow and I'll get it done."

Saibot squeeze Lei's hand, eyed Rita, then started to goto the door, "Fine...we'll come back tomorrow...Come on sweetheart."

Lei looked at Rita, then followed Garth out of the office into the hallway. "But we still don't know why it happened..." she said as they waited for the elevator. Of course, the fact that this *was* one of the Guardian's old enemies was probably the real reason Garth didn't want to stick around. "So we don't know if filters will help." Not to mention if they could trust the woman... Lei didn't know if it was her own emotions or Garth's calling that one.

Blackheart was busy hunting down Lenny when Ryan called. He gave the ex military meta his address and then headed into the club for his head to head with Lenny.

A.J. nodded as Em recited the information. A few minutes later, they arrived at their destination. While Em changed, A.J. snagged her 'handler' and set a few things in motion.

"Her name's Emiline Michelle Dunam." He explained. "You probably haven't I.D.'ed her yet because she's listed as deceased."

Ryan spent a few minutes finding a parking space. He finally parked. He walked back to his trunk and opened it. He made sure his rifle was unloaded and the magazines and ammunition was locked into a seperate container. He closed the lid and locked his car. He headed up towards the apartment.

Em had taken her time getting ready. Her muscles were already getting sore. She put a fresh gause pad over her arm and got dressed. Choosing a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. She just pulled her hair back and put on some make up. When she emerged from her room she saw A.J. talking to someone, she walked over to them and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You ready to go?"

"Mmm-hmm." He nodded, pulling the keys for his bike out of a pocket and swinging them around his index finger.

A few minutes later they pulled up in front of Blackheart's apartment. A.J. trotted up and prodded the doorbell a few times, then stuffed his hands in his pockets and waited.

"Well.." he thought it over for a moment. True, he HAD promised her dinner in New Orleans, but...they were going to have to work as a team. It would be a good thing to at least make an appearence at Blackheart's, have a few drinks.

Team building was important.

"We'll make a appearence at Blackheart's...spend sometime with the team. If we have to work with them...it'd be a good idea to show them I don't want to kill them all......"

There was just a twinge beneath the surface, deep beneath the surface, that never showed in his gesture, on the surface. But Argent could feel it with thier link, just the tinest hint that perhaps......he was lying.

The murderous feeling that said, he really did want to kill them....every last one of them.....

The elevator opened then, so she was not able to speak right at that moment... but there was a paing of worry/fear that crossed over the link as that tiny little lie hit her. "Perhaps we shouldn't...." she hedged, eyeing his faceless mask. "Seeing that woman did upset you a bit...." now who was lying, reaching for half-truths to cover what she knew he was feeling.

"No," he said " no, we'll goto Blackheart's. We told Blast we'd show up after the meeting." As they walked into the elevator, Saibot opened up his commlink, called up Blast for the address, then squeezed Lei's hand.

"Don't worry beautiful, it'll be ok"

The kiss was a thrill, one that started in her and spread to him like electricity through the link. "Then try not to lie to me, hero..." she said when the kiss broke. "They light up like your ring. Shall we change into civies?" She'd been wanting to see if she could swap his clothing out like she did her own....

Saibot smirked as she broke the kiss, held up his ring, and then from the top down, a small plane of energy descended. In it's wake, his uniform had changed to jeans and a blue t-shirt.

two minutes later, the Dragon reappeared, flickering away to reveal her in a pair of jeans so tight she had to have teleported inside the, with a tight-fitting low-cut babydoll shirt that clung to every curve.

He eyed her approvingly, licked his lips, and placed one hand against the wall, just over her shoulder, as he leaned forward.

"You know....if we didn't have security camera's watching...."

His eyes burned with the hidden meaning, as he looked into her eyes.

The crackle over the link said far more than anything she could have spoken at that moment, her dark eyes gleaming as she kissed his nose teasingly. "You think I couldn't take care of the camera, hero? But then we'd not get to the party... and you'd still owe me beignets in the morning..."

The elevator opened, and they walked out...He would fly them to Blackheart's, it wouldn't take long at all.

Legacies was swinging openly across the city. His form watchful for any wrongdoings or things of interest. So far it had been quiet. A few citizens had watched him as he passed by. Some yelling his name in joy, others with derision. Legacies ignored them all, they were unimportant singularly, as ants in the colony. Legacies found a nice alleyway and dropped down into it, fading away into the shadows for a few minutes before he stepped out of them, dressed as a hobo once again. Smiling, the silver bearded figure walked out onto the street and sat down, dropping a tin container on the ground in front of him as he sat back and watched his surroundings. Waiting.

Lei snorted. "We could ask Bowman...." she suggested. "He'd know the address. Who knows, I might be able to teleport us closer." As they walked down the hallway, her outfit was getting more than a few doubletakes from the male agents they happened to pass. "Oh... and you're too old to appreciate what a fine sexy woman I am..." she teased, giving him the gist of the various emotional reactions that floated in her wake. "Although one of them liked your ass..."

Blast was trying to fade into the background in the backseat as the others were in the store buying the booze. For some reason taking off the mask didn't occur to him...

It took him a minute to realize his pants were beeping at him.

"What the?" He clawed at the hidden pocket until he hauled out the comm unit and turned it on.
