He had her for only a second before she 'ported away.

-Correction, had me.- She spoke to his mind, then giggled outloud.

She stood where she was, on a fallen support beam. She had and idea and reached out to Argent. -Hey Lei? Wanna have some fun?- She had a mischivious tone to her voice.

"Bah." A.J. said into the dirt. "Just you wait for my... Amazing... 'Stand here and look around' technique." He explained to the surrounding rubble, standing up and brushing himself off. Well. Couldn't go by sight... He stood very still and listened for a sound. Anything to tip him off.

Silver eyes formed in a shadow... unfortunately no where near Em, AJ, or Avatar. Once again, Lei wished she had a way of speaking telepathically. She had to make do with thinking very hard Where.

This isn't really my speciality. He thought to himself. It's not like I have a magic ring, or a great set of nostrils or something.

Avatar was following scent trails where they lead. He got a strange scent. One he wasnt used to. The smell of paper, men's cologne and a clean and pressed uniform. There was only one person that could possibly be.

He abandoned his search for Em, and started sniffing around for Ryan.

Ryan kept next to a building. Looks like he had managed to ditch Saibot. He looked around, in the distance he saw Avatar, sniffing, of all things.

God, just like a dog. Oh shit. He can probably smell me.

He headed down an alley. Trying to find something to roll in to mask his scent.

Coming Lei thought back to Em, much softer, since she'd been assured she'd be heard without 'shouting'. The shadows rippled, imperceptibly bulging as she moved thru them like a salmon swimming up river.

I see your boyfriend Argent teased Em. Shall I play with him?

Avatar coulldn't hear the movements. As he zigzagged along the scent trail Ryan left, he reached the building in a few moments. He wasnt there. Luckily, the gravel left recognizable footprints.

Still, Ryan probably knew how to avoid being tracked... he would probably try to hide his scent if he was in any way competant.

So Avatar thought of something new. He reached out with his mind, and started moving the air and the moisture. It took him a few moments, but he managed to create a bank of light fog bank which he could use to track Ryan with relative easy, while still picking up his scent trail

Amusement hit AJ as Em's shouted denial carried clearly through the air. He may have even been amused on his own, but this was strong enough to break him into unmanly giggles.

Silver eyes watched him from behind even as Lei continued to tease Em. And this is why we train.. next time you'll know not to shout.

Ryan reached a large pool of water, which didnt look very clean. He heard a loud shout and while the echo was going, he took his outer BDU jacket. He rolled in the water, and kept his jacket dry. He carried it with him for dozen more meters. As he passed a building, he tossed his jacket in through the window. He noticed a fog rolling in.

As the fog rolled in, there would be a hollow spot where Ryan would be. FInally, he spotted it. A hollow place where there was no fog. He bound toward it, daring the soldier to confirm his suspicions and move.

Another wave of amusement flowed out from the shadows surrounding Aj as Em's little protest touched Argent's mind. Time to have some fun of her own.

As the fog started rolling in around them, the silver eyes blinked out from one pool of shadow, and reappeared at Aj's feet. She would make it sporting.. see if he spotted her down there ... before making her move

Ryan ducked down, and jumped to the side. He kept low and dashed into another empty building. He ran inside and hid inside a side room, ducking down.

And the Lycantrhope could see the movement. All of it, thanks to the fog. As Ryan moved, the air moved around him in a swirling pattern, just like the glittering particles in wind or water tunnel tests.

He went into the building, and looked at the floor. The dirt on his feet gave Ryan away.

Of course, wher he went in the building was a mystery.

"Are those water droplets?"

he followed the water droplets until he found a small pool of water.

he reached down, felt Ryan, and grabbed him by the colar, or some other peice of clothing

"I did this the nice way. If you were actually my enemy, I would have evacuated all the oxygen and waited until I heard you flopping on the ground like a landed fish"

Ryan twisted so Avatars hand dropped off. He decloaked.

"And if you were mine, you would have had six new holes in your head awhile ago. Now, I'm going to find my jacket."

"Good luck." Ryan stepped out of the building and headed back to where he tossed his jacket. He looked around and found it. He put it back on. He fished through the pockets and took out his pack. He pulled one out and lit it with his lighter from the same pocket.

He headed back to the start point. He waved at Blackheart when he saw him.

Empath or Telepath, A.J. could tell when someone else was messing with his mind. He looked around the area quickly, noticing the eyes on the floor. He sighed.

"Peekaboo, hey? I'm surprised you're done with the preschool jokes about my relationships."

He slumped to the floor a reasonable distance from the eyes, and shrugged.

"Well, I'm stumped. I just can not think of a way to catch a shadow, so I guess you win."

More amusement from the general direction of the shadow, then the eyes vanished. He may have had just enough time to see the pool of shadow ripple from her passage before one closer to him erupted, a dragon of pure shadow with those same silvery eyes stretching skyward, sings unfurled...

... and then it fell on top of him dragging him down into darkness.

Blackheart acknowledged Ryan with a nod of his head. At least they weren't doing threat displays anymore.

A shadow not far from Blackheart erupted into Argent's dragon form as she took wing, elongating until finally a tail appeared, twisting and swirling in the air as the wings beat skyward. It was a beautiful sight, this pure black draconic shape winging into the air, before diving into another shadow some distance off.

In her wake she left AJ sitting on the ground in the same pose he'd been in when she grabbed him. They may have 'captured' one of the hidden ones ... but they'd lost a searcher in return. Em... tell Blackheart the new guy gave up, so he's out of the search. That means we still have the croc and Garth

Blackheart watched Argent go. Beautiful, he thought. Too bad she wastes herself on that bigot Saibot. Well, fuck it anyway. What did it matter? None of his relationships could last, the space wasp larvae saw to that. Might as well wish for the moon or that the fibers would stop before they reached his brain.

Too fucking maudlin by half. Maybe his biological parents were Irish. He activated his com. "Argent's on the loose gents. Look sharp, she's tricky." He could do with a beer about now.
