Challenge made, challenge accepted. Avatar was just finished speaking when Argent shifted to her full shadow-dragon form. The great bat-like, inky wings spread out, encircling the group entirely, and then there was darkness ...

... One heartbeat echoed in the black void, marred only by the shining silver outlining the dragon as she flew. How the party was able to see this is just as much a mystery as where it was, and what heart beat in the depths ...

... Then there was brightness, as the dragon soared up out of the shadow of a broken building, hovering over the party, still in the same positions as before. As they looked around, it was clear where they were now. Center of the 'deadzone', once called Manhattan.

"Now that is what I call a superpower." A.J. muttered. He blinked repeatedly at the abrupt change in light and popped his ears to account for the pressure difference, then took a tentative look around.

"I'd heard they'd left huge portions of Manhattan alone when they were making Millenium, but damn... This looks like something out of Mad Max." He hid it well, but Argent could easily tell that this was bringing back a lot of memories, most of them bad.

"A.J... could you do me a huge favor, and never mention Mel Gibson again... I tried to take a vacation to Israel last year and had to team up with The Goilem in order to stop him from helping Palistinian terrorists in their attempt to vaporize the Wailing Wall and other Jewish Holy Sites. After he was defeated he strapped himself to a rack in his base and asked if we were there to torture him...I didnt feel clean for weeks" Avatar shuddered at the thought, and felt like he, once again, had to scrub his eyes with a brillo pad. Waves of revulsion and mental pain radiated from him, practically visibly

A.J. stared at him for a few seconds, then burst out laughing. He leaned against a convenient pile of rubble and stamped his foot into the ground repeatedly, managing to choke his outburst down to a fit of the giggles.

"I'm sorry, but-" a snort, "that's so funny." He trailed off with a few strangled "heeeee"s, then stood up straight and brushed dust off his clothes.

"Sorry." He repeated, then let loose one last chuckle.

"Well done," said Blackheart. "Alright invisible people you have a minute to get scarce. Everyone leave their phones and whatnot on and keep an eye open for real trouble. There are still people here, not all of them nice. So keep alert and remember that we're still the good guys."

Ryan nodded. He pulled out his pistol, just incase, his phone, which he tossed to Blackheart, and cloaked himself. He took off running. He kept going for 100 meters, before ducking into an abondoned building.

"Are there any other rules besides 'hide'?" Argent asked, as yet still in the form of a large, winged draconic shadow. As she waited for an answer, the dragon seemed to shrink in size, when actually Argent was simply sinking into the same shadow she'd arrived in. Only those with the sharpest senses (Legacies) could see that the shadow was rippling from her movements, like water disturbed by secret currents underneath.

Well before her sixty second headstart was up, she was totally inside the shadow, naught but two bright silver saurian eyes peering from within the shadow's confines. With a blink, those two would be gone as she 'cheated', teleporting to another shadow some distance away.

Em made a qick exit. Becoming invisible again and running to the rimnents of a parking garage. She wasn't sure what to do so she found a perch on top of a pile of rubble that she could see from.

Saibot absently fingers the head of his power ring as the sixty seconds ticked away. He hated waiting, but it would only make this training excercise more fun.

"Time's up...." he said lowly, as he took to the air, a beam of hard light coming from his ring, and striking the path two of the three invisibles took. Their footprints glowed in the blue energy beam, and Saibot smirked, flying slowly to track one down.

"So we're playing hide and seek?" A.J. asked, rolling his shoulders. "Okay then."

As Siabot activated his ring, A.J. smirked and followed the path the older man didn't. Cheaters prosper.

Em saw Saibot and A.J. following the path that her and the other guy took. Saibot going away from her and A.J following her tracks. -Damnit he knows how I work. I'll have to be on my toes.- She waited till he got almost to her perch and 'ported over behind a pile of durt and crumbled rock.

Ryan peeked out of the window. Saibot. Damn. Well, if he's following my glowing footsteps...

Ryan quickly walked all over the room, ducking in and out of all the rooms, his footsteps everywhere. He ducked into one of the side rooms, and climbed out of window.

Saibot -felt- Argent near, a quick emotional outburst equivalent to 'hey! no fair!', before a dragonic shape boiled out of one shadow, rapidly snaked across the glowing footprints, and vanished into a shadow on the other side.

"Eh." Gravitas said. "I think Blast and I will go work on his releases. It's kind of unfair to track people with their gravitational connections. Besides, two are teleporting around." He said.

He smirked beneath his helmet, as he continued on, only to see the footprints befuddled infront of him. 'Damn it Lei...' he thought, rather than spoke.

Use of his ring wasn't cheating...it was using his powers to find his target.

Shaking his head, he rose higher into the air, and took a educated guess as to where Ryan went. He flight was excessively leasuirely, using his ring to sweep for signs of footprints, or invisibles again.

Two bright silver eyes appeared in a shadow on the ground, looking around for a moment before vanishing back into the shadow's depths. It would take extremely sharp senses to see what happened next, as the nearby shadows rippled faintly from Argent's passage.

Avatar sniffed around. Literally. He knew Em's scent fairly well so decided to go for her. He inhaled, and exhaled, allowing the girls scent to travel into his nose, activate chemoreceptors directly conected to his olfactory bulb.

He got to the location she had teleported from fairly quickly. But she wasnt there. And there was no scent trail away from the location Damn teleportation.

So he got innovative. He reached out with his mind and changed the direction of the wind. It would all slowly drift toward him. It, along with any scent it carried.

What he didnt count on, one thing he often forgot was a small dust devel forming.

So he stopped the wind from multiple directions and started alternating wind directions

-Well crap now I've got two after me. And Alex is... smelling for me? Oookie...I can work with this...- She 'ported over behind A.J and stood only a few feet from him. He was upwind of Alex so her scent would carry easily. She thought into both their minds -yanno this isn't fair odds... I really don't have a defensive power.-

John carefully worked his way through the last of the security barriers and suddenly a whole world opened up to him. He was deeper into the classified records than he had ever been before, there was an overwhelming amount of information down here secrets that would make conspiracy theorists drool with envy. He forced himself to focus on finding the information that he had set out to look for he located it quickly and scanned it then checked for related information he copied the files then prepared to work his way back out but stopped. He dug a little farter and found a few other interesting items and saved them as well before slowly retracting from the system right before he disconnected he located agent Bowman using the building’s security systems. He disconnected himself from the computer and plugged himself into a flash drive he didn’t mind parting with onto which he loaded the classified information.

With his task done he set of to speak to Agent Bowman and inform him of what he had found.
