"Handy," said Blackheart. "Very good for information handling and moving around. Don't try to brawl with the big boy because thats not playing to your strengths. Get in, get out, and if you need to hit them in the back of the head with a crowbar. Sneaky and nasty is the way you need to go. We need a different training regime for you. Make you deal with water and dust particles and IR, things that could give you away. Perferably in places where there are things lying around a smart and sneaky girl could take advantage of. The ruins around New York might be a good place to start."

"You survived the streets, without becoming an addict or falling to some pimp" Argent broke in. "That shows you are stronger than you believe you are." The asian woman looked to Legacies and Saibot, then back to Blackheart. "If we wish to continue this .. training session somewhere else, I can teleport us there. We may also wish to take the Croc... he can create fog, water, and other obsticles to test our abilities."

"Do you have room for one more?" A.J. asked, walking up to the group. Luckily, it seemed he was pretty much done with the paperwork; It was on to requisitioning by now.

"I spent about six months with the East Coast Interceptors," the twenty-something man continued, "but I'm a bit rusty and there wasn't much in the way of formal training anyway."

Legacies looked up as the others discussed moving out. "We would suggest bringing Avatar as well. But not only for use of his powers with fog and the like. He needs power training as well. As he said himself his powers are an on/off switch at the moment. That will do us little good."

The silver figure got to his feet as he looked over at A.J. "And what is your power?"

"My body redirects kinetic energy." A.J. explained in a voice which hinted at how many times he'd been asked that question. "In essence, I'm immune to physical blows. Bullets, semis, you name it."

After dropping off the vest in his cube, he put on the shoulder holster, and headed back towards the group. He got there just as AJ was telling his powers.

"That's got to be useful."

A.J. turned to the newcomer. "Most of the time," he agreed, "but rubbish against people like our two friends who were just scrapping." He gestured expansively, indicating all the damage Blast and Saibot had inflicted on the area.

With that she 'ported away, only to return a few moments later in jeans and a tank top. "I'm getting better at short distances." She looked at Argent. "Just because I'm not a junkie or a professional hooker, doen't mean I haven't done what I needed to do to survive." Her eyes seemed sad, "I wanted to thank you earlier, for rescuing me." She reached out a hand, "I'm Ca-Emiline. Em for short." She looked at A.J. "I'm gonna have to get used to that."

"Well to be fai, I cant create it out of nothing... To create fog and the like I would need a source of at least high humidity" He said, having appeared back from the staircase.

"However... the ruins of New York around near the river or New York Harbor would work well. I could do just about anything there. Including using my own abilities in a 'training session' with much more control"

She took the hand with a smile. "You're very welcome. I'm called Argent." Old habits are hard to break, such as never revealing your real name. "I ... don't like using my real name." she finished, a touch of embarrassment escaping along the joined hands.

Em blushed a little as the sight wave of embarassment carried over to her. She smiled, "Least you have a cool meta name... I'm just me." She laughed softly and entered Argents mind, -If I wanted to, I could find out your real name no problem. But I hate invading privacy more than I have to. I'm glad that there's another girl here, I don't have many friends.-

A.J. coloured slightly before regaining his poise. "Well, that's turned the awkward-o-meter up to eleven." Step two: Ramble to cover the painful silence. "No, it's actually a really freaky story... See, I used to know her when we were kids..." He sprung into an explanation, with the strange feeling that this would be far from the last time he'd have to.

One eyebrow raises as the words form inside her head. For a moment she wasn't sure what to do... then Argent thought one word. It was Chinese, the thought at once a sound and a glyph/chop as her bi-lingual upbringing gifted Em with the first word Argent ever learned to write: Lei.

Argent dropped the handshake, just before Sgt Ryan introduced himself.

"Yeah, I'm an invis like your girlfriend."
"He's not...I'm not...We're not...It's not..." Em then turned invisible.

Argent managed not to laugh in Emily's face... although there was a definate feeling of -amusement- that couldnt' quite be hidden.

Avatar chuckled, partially because of the empathic manipulation, and partially because he honestly found the situation amusing. The reaction Em had to the mention of A.J being her boyfriend was simply priceless.
