"Agent Bowman, at this point in time, it is not a penis-waving contest." Argent patiently explained. "Right now, because of the bond I share with Saibot, if he is injured the pain is directed into me, and vice versa. If Saibot and I do not learn how to control this bond, the first hard hit to either of us may also take the other out of the fight. And, before you ask; no, I don't know how to dissolve the bond. I am still not sure how it happened, and have no control over it. At the moment, my best idea is to beat up Saibot until I am able to channel the pain away from the bond and possibly redirect it into an opponent."

"I tapped into the grid before I came over. No offense but everytime I'm here I end being in the fight of my life, so I take no chances." Blast replied. He stood away from the wall and his shield flickered on to life. He did not want to get stabbed or something after all and Sabiot seemed... unstable.

Blast turned to the others and his shield flickered on to life. A ball of rolling orange energy settled around him and Blast tilted his head at Sabiot.

"So can I play to old man?" Blast looked over at Argent for a second and looked back at Sabiot.

"Or is your cut off at the drinking age?" He said nastily.

Saibot was still floating in the air, he had turned away from the group. When Blast spoke up, he stopped in mid air.

"So can I play to old man? Or is your cut off at the drinking age?"

His grip on the dragon saber tightened, as his head tilted to the side, and he looked back over his shoulder. The energyfield around him seemd to brighten for a moment, crackle and turn to a flame, before resettling around him.

"Kid..." the deep, gravily voice replied, "Don't be a pussy and hold back."

The sword swept in the pattern, and the eight bolts appeared before him. "Laser Arrows.....fire"

The bolts shot out from behind Saibot, and straight for Blast, but instead of impacting on the shield, exploded on the ground right infront of the youngster. This was followed up by Saibot rushing in on Blast, his ring creating a shield on his free arm, as his sword was raised for a overhead strike.

The sheild brushed aside the sharpel, Blast blinked and raised his fist at the charging man and fired.

The blue white bolt screamed out at the speed of light right at Sabiot's chest.

Saibot's shield was already in place, and intercepted the energy blast. the concussive force though, was strong, and he was pushed aside.

He landed on his feet, and continued his rush towards the young man, still holding the shield of arcane ring energy infront of him.

Blast grunted. First time fighting a guy with shield, could he blow through that thing without reducing Saboit to ash? Huuuhhhh, now might not be the time for experimentation.

Blast fired again, aiming Sabiot's legs this time, lets see how fast the shield moves....

Argent had tensed as Saibot rushed Blast, trying to anticipate whatever might make it through Saibot's defenses. The first blast was seen only as an afterimage on the back of her eyelids as it knocked Saibot out of the sky, but no pain leapt the connection between them, so Argent knew he was unhurt.

She tried to calm herself... she could feel that Saibot wasn't angry at Blast. He was just making sure the boy could react fast if this was real, and learn not to hold back. Argent just hoped she could stand up to whatever got through when Blast did hit.

The sword's power sprung into action when Blast adjust to fire, his movements became a blurr as he sped up. A second later, he had closed the distance, moved behind Blast a couple of feet, and turned to face him.

"You've seen my tricks" he called out, almost as if trying to teach the boy, "You know what I can do, adapt and adjust."

With that, he raised his fist, and let loose with a beam of brillant blue energy, aimed right at the shield.

The bright blue beam slid through the shield as if it wasn't even there and impacted on Blast's chest, burning a hole through the costum on his chest. It was like shooting beer at a Marine. Blast just fired the energy right back sizzling through the air, without even thinking about it. Great now he would have to discuss repair of his uniform. Yippie.

The kid was absorbing his blast, he half expected it, but wasnt ready for it.

The energy burst impacted against his life support field and knocked Saibot into the air. It took a moment to get himself righted, and clear the lights from his eyes.

Remaining in the air, Saibot at least had the advantage of manuverability, he began a random flight above Blast, not giving him the chance to lock on, changing direction suddenly.

When he was behind Blast, he used his ring again, instead of a straight beam, he formed a massive croquet mallet, and swung it at that glowing spherical yellow sheild, shouting out "Four!"

Blast saw the hammer coming.

"What the hell?" He asked as it slammed and then phased through the shield. Blast felt himself be throw back about 7 feet and charged up all at once as the hammer disappeared as if being pulled into Blast. With a snarled Blast fired a beam of energy right at Sabiot's face, barely remembering to keep it down.

"Was that some kinda of joke?" He asked.

Saibot barely formed the shield that blocked the blast, but even then he flew back, almost all the way across the gym.

"About time you take this seriously.."

A few quick swings, and the energy arrows where formed, and fired. The arrows flew true, focused on the point at the edge of Blast's shield, on the ground. The eight arrows exploded all at once, just under the force of a hand gernade, as Saibot follows close behind, ready to slice into that shield with his sword.

"So your immune to my ring, time to shake things up."

The blast rattled him inside the shield, Blast gritted his teeth. Some bright idea he had, he needed to get his head checked. All well, all that can be done is win the fight right?

"But I like my drinks unshaken." He quipped and fired again, the bolt was a ravening white hot column of energy that lashed out at Sabiot like a ravening beast.

Inside his helmet, Saibot's eyes widdened. If that hit, was was close to done for.

He stopped in midflight, curled up into a ball, and formed a sphereical shield around himself.

The blast struck his shield, and he rode the head of the column of energy, until it smacked him into the ceiling. The ceiling began to crumble, and the heat inside the bubble of hard light became sweltering, as the bubble continued pushing into it.

Legacies had been watching intently, curious to see how each combatant would deal with the fight. As Blast threw Saibot across the room and began to destroy the cieling, two of the four tendrils holding Legacies into the ceiling detached and slithered back to join it's host as he continued to watch, there was no other sign of movement.

Shit...Shit...Shit...Shit. To much, way to much, he could bring down the fucking building or something. Not to mention killing a federal agent, a brief mental picture of the headlines, College kid kills respected Hero, State seeks death penalty, flashed through his head. Then he realized that was fucking silly, Argent would kill him long before any trails could happen. He really doubted he could absorb a shadow or block a empathic attack. Odds are she knew some kung fu shit that could tear his arms off and beat him to death with them to. To much.

He cut the energy and stood, the sheild flicker out. Sabot hovered curled up in a ball in a indentation in the ceiling. Yeah To Much.

"I'm done, game's over." He said and turned around to walk out.
