Suddenly Argent did not think this was such a good idea. She measured each man up, recalling that Blackheart had strength, stamina, and a powerblast. Saibot had speed and stamina, but without his ring and his sword his fighting options were limited.

How long had Blackheart been a meta? Saibot had been a hero, one of the Guardian Force, back when she was still playing with dollies. He didn't seem to be slowing down despite being one of the oldest men in the room.

"What if he forgets to stop, Legacies.." she said softly, knowing that Legacies senses were very sharp.

"Eye of the Tiger" litterally played in John's head as he stood near the door, this was absolut mind bogleingly stupid to him, he closed his eyes and retreated into his mind plugging away at the information he had coppied into there. He would need to leave soon he was almost finished with this task and he wanted to get to a computer terminal or something to actually apply the data he was processing.

What, Saibot? The White Guardian of the Guardian Force? A.J. 'asked' Em. Explains the size of the man's ego. Ah well, nothing to do but watch him and Blackbeard here whip out their rulers and let the dick-measuring contest begin.

It was clearly becoming evident that A.J. was quite willing to think things he'd never dare say aloud.

Em giggled out loud. Under normal circumstances that would lead a person to believe that they had heard a ghost, but she knew she was safe. -It's Blackheart And I guess that's the guy from the Guardians... I don't know. But this should be interesting.-

Gravitas only barely paid attention; one-on-one brawls bored him, and they so rarely matched reality. He busied himself watching the strands that connected the group, learning them, memorizing the unique twists, tints, and turns of the connecting gravitons. That'd be far more useful; the ability to keep track of the team.

Behind the helmet, Saibot smirked, placed a hand on his sword hilt, and slid a foot back.

His movement was a blur as he rushed at Blackheart, aided by the power of his sword. He rushed in on the big agent, and swung his fist with full strength at Blackheart's stomach.

Blackheart was knocked through the air to fly half a dozen meters before bouncing off the floor. The agent floated up and back over to Saibot before descending to the floor. "Nice, that actually hurt, but not good enough. Try again."

He cracked his neck, as the glow of the energy field surronded him, a light blue skin tight aura, as he lifted off the ground. "Your not the only one who can fly Hero."

He flew at Blackheart, not aided by his sword this time, as a beam of blue energy shot forth, flattened out into a wall like sheet, and shoot forward again at Blackheart.

Argent watched nervously. So far Blackheart wasn't striking back ... so far. He'd taken a solid hit ... what happens when he gave Saibot one?

OH. Oh no. Her eyes widened as she recalled the *last* time Saibot had gotten hurt: it had traveled over into her. A punch that would get past Saibot's shield would hurt her as well. "Legacies... we have to make them stop before someone's hurt."

Saibot's energy shield charge smashed Blackheart against the back wall of the gym with a crash that reverberated throughout the room. The veteran agent fell to his knees.

Blackheart staggered back up. Bloody froth was on his lips. "Now that was hard. Damn hard. You want to keep going?"

Saibot hovered in the air, the energy wall and beam dispersing as he did so.

"If you wanna give up so soon....fine by me Hero...but I thought you wanted to fight."

Saibot crossed his arms over his chest, looking down on the man, mostly because he was in the air.

"Fine..."

His right hand moved down, slowly to the hilt of his saber. Black gloved fingers wrapped around the handle slowly, leather creaking, as he pulled it up, blade pointing down.

"Don't say I didn't warn you...."

In the motions seen so many time in Saibot's history, in news reels and on the last mission undertaken, the sword cut eight glowing lines in the air. They hovered before him, pulsing lightlyas he brought the sword behind his head, as if in a cutting motion, then forward, pointing at Blackheart, at the same time, his speaking the words, "Laser Arrows. Fire."

All eight arrows crossed the space between Saibot and Blackheart in a heartbeat, and each exploded as it impacted the cement wall, and the tled floor. Smoke rose up, obscuring Blackheart's form, and Saibot just floated there, gripping the hilt of his sword, waiting.

Laser arrows exploded around Blackheart, cratering the floor and wall. The meta had his arms up shielding his face. He hissed as his rib popped back into place, with a little help from the larval giant space wasp. "The floor do something to offend you that I don't know about?" he asked. "You done or do want to keep going?"

John's eyes opened he had finished his current task and this fight was even more stupid than he origionally tought, through the smoke and concrete dust he locked eyes with agent bowman. Then he nodded ever so slightly to signal that he was ready to procede to the next part of his task before turning and walking out of the room he needed to find an actual computer.

He walked into an employee lounge of some sort and sat down at a computer that was available for employes to use. He connected himself to the computer and began to dive deep into the system carefully bypassing security systems to get to the information he needed.

Saibot didn't sheath his sword though, but kept it in hand, as if expecting Blackheart to do something.

Argent relaxed as the two men decided there had been enough dickwaving between the two of them. Good... she wasn't sure her idea for deflecting the shared pain would work. It was something that would been to be tested soon, before a real fight took her and Saibot out at the same time.

Perhaps her years as Ember's partner made her think like a team member. "Actually, Blackheart... I want you to stop playing and try to hit Saibot." she said, stepping forward and summoning her shadow-wings around her like a black cloak. This was stupid, this would hurt like hell.

'Oh Christ,' Bowman thought, throwing his arms up. What was it with these new teams that every time there had to be a penis contest of some sort. Even among bureau agents it happened to greater or lesser degrees, and they had rank and structure to tell them who was in charge.
'Jesus H. Christ...'

Bowman walked after the group, standing by the doorway to watch the spectacle.
"Christ people, can we put the rulers up and stop this bullshit? There's pleanty of work to be done already, forms to be signed, paperwork to be filled out, uniforms and equipment to issue.

"This is simple. Agent Blackheart is senior field agent in charge of Mirage Team. There is no need to see who is in charge. When you all get to the rank of senior field agent you too can run your own team. Until then can we please get along?

"Now since you're all here and in such amiable moods why don't we sit down and do a meet and greet hrmm? Try to get to know each other a little better without attempting to rip off their heads. You are, after all, going to be working together.

"And if you're really interested in knowing, the last member of your team should be here shortly."

Legacies had watches patiently, he'd expected an actual fight, he'd expected destroyed rooms. It was a bit of a let down.

As the other agent began complaining Legacies looked down at him from his perch.

"We are getting to know one another. Not everything can be done with friendly smiles and a warm pat on the back. Though if you believe we are going to be showing our face or wearing a uniform than you are mistaken."

Ryan chuckled and headed back to his cubicle. He still had paperwork and he needed to head to the armory to be issued his weapons and gear.
