Father Leonard unlocked his front door and closed it behind him. Then he locked it, first the knob lock, then both deadbolts and the little chain lock. He fed his goldfish, and crept into the basement, which featured the same level of physical security. Then, he took off his coat, hung his rapier in its rack right by his bed, and plopped into it, falling asleep in seconds.

Rossi rolled out of bed about an hour after sunset. A quick shower and a shave, to take care of the stuble that regenerated every night. A little wax on his mustache, a change into a new suit, and he was good to go. He put on a shoulder harness over his shirt which held an M1911. A long folding blade went into the other pocket.

He picked up his suitcase and headed down stairs. Wright's place wasn't too far. A quick ride in his car-

A leathery hand seized him from behind. It wrinkled, but with tendons like steel cords. Rossi struggled to no avail. His hand went for his knife as his attacker dragged him into the alley.

He sliced the arm holding him, but his blade barely penetrated. A voice cooed in his ear. "Now now, my boy. That wasn't nice. But don't worry, we'll still have our fun."

Wright arose shortly after sunset as well, moving quickly as he always did after a slumber. He hated the daytime slumber with a passion- too much like death, a constant nagging reminder of limitation. He thrived on motion. Quickly cleaning himself, he trotted up the stairs to await the arrival of the others.

Father Leonard awoke from a rather disturbing dream regarding an office building occupied by some sort of vampiric spider being besieged by a horde of demons with a bit of a startle. Partly due to the fact that the vamp spiders had humans wrapped in giant silken webs, and partially because his alarm clock began its shrill scream in his general direction.

He woke, up, and was tempted to smash his clock like he was every morning, but instead he reached over and switched it off. Making a sound not unlike those made by brain seeking zombies

"nyyyaahhh!" he said as he flipped the switch and lurched out of bed. Feeling a might hungry he walked over to the closet, where a meowing sound could be heard by anyone close enough to listen. He opened the closet and looked down at a cage. In that cage was a stray cat.

Afterhe was finished with breakfast, he got dressed in another set of casual vestments and his trenchcoat, sword still strapped within, and left to go to Wright's. He knew they would abuse him in some maner. Either verbally, or using him as cannon fodder, leaving him to the dogs when it suited them, but if he died like that... it wouldnt be suicide.

The sun set and Jason's eyes fluttered open. He rose and streched and has he did so reminded himself to be careful, you never knew what others were planning.

He climbed to the first door unlocking it and swinging it open. Shutting the door behind he checked the room... Clear. He removed the barricade quickly and went through the 2nd door shutting it behind him. After exiting through a window he moved through the dark streets quickly heading to Wright's place.

Wright went to the back of the warehouse, searching through the crates. Where the hell did he put that?

Of course he wasn't organized worth a damn. What else was new? Wait... there it was. Knocking over a crate of scrap junk, he used his inhuman strength to pull the heavy case out. Strong fingers pried the top off without the use of a prybar.

He smiled ferally when he glanced down into the crate, fangs unconsciously extending from their sockets. Reaching down, he brushed off the Browning Automatic Rifle. The guy who'd sold him the piece had sworn it could punch holes in tanks. Stroking it lovingly, he then reached down to collect a magazine, slamming it home with a satisfying metallic chunk.

Oh yes, O'Banion's little fuckers would never know what hit them...

Jason reached the warehouse quickly. A pair of walking beef slabs were standing guard, when he approached they nodded and opened the door.

"Wright's in the back, sir." The one on the right said. Jason nodded and thanked the guard. He could get used to this if he wasn't careful.

He strode into the pointed out area finding Wright stroking a rifle of some kind.

"Anyone else here yet?" He asked.

"Nah," he said nonchalantly. He handled the BAR easily, the weight of the weapon obviously not an issue for him. "Sleep well?"

"Sleep well?"
"Well enough. You?" Jason said leaning back to look around a bit. The place was unorganized with stacks of crates and other junk just lying around without pattern. Made him wonder how anyone was suppose to find anything. Maybe that was idea...

He shrugged. "I hate sleeping. I hate stopping." Nodding toward the crate, he continued. "Got some sawed-offs in there, couple of Tommy guns. Help yourself."

"Don't mind if I do." Jason drifted over to the crate in question and dug around until he found a sawed off that felt and handled alot like his old shotgun back home. He broke it down and checked everything... Yeah it'll do. He snapped it back togather and started collecting ammo.

"Shotgun?" he said, grinning. "Good choice. Blast the shit out of 'em, bam."

He seemed keyed-up, energized by the prospect of action that night.

"Yo..."

Larry? God damn it, he never could remember Chicken Boy's name.

"How's it going?" he finished lamely.

"A Priest?" Jason asked with a twitch. He hadn't had much use for church when alive, and that hadn't changed when he turnned.

"No, I am quite fine with what I have" he said, as he pulled his sword out of its concealed sheath.

"And yes, I do know how to use it... I wouldnt know the first thing about firearms though. Swordplay is something I have done since I was a child"

Ah fuck, now Blue Eyes was going to give him shit over Chicken Boy. And it'd only get better when Rossi got here.

Speaking of...

Where the fuck was Rossi?

"Hey guys, I'll be back."

He gently deposited the rifle in the crate and headed for the front.

Wright rolled his eyes as he walked away. Abominations, blah blah. He stuck his head out the door.

"You guys seen Rossi?"

Dumb question. If they had, they would've sent him in.

Jason snorted at the priest, bunch of shit all of it. He was a hunter, not an abominations, did he think rabbits viewed the fox with anything other than horror and disgust? If his God existed and was so powerful then he meant for vampires to exist and to prey on others, otherwise he was a weak God without strength and was meaningless. Let the others indulge in self hatred. He would just keep going has he always had.

He turned to Wright.

"You don't think he got sidetracked or bushwacked do you?" Jason asked.

He turned toward Blue Eyes. Good ears on that one.

"Rossi's a tough little shit..." The hesitation was obvious in his voice, though. Even tough bastards could get jumped, and it wasn't like there wasn't plenty of shit out there that could eat this whole bunch without breaking a sweat.

"I dont think that is the case. More likely he just has errands to run, or is having more difficulty than usual securing... breakfast" he said with a grimace

of course, he thought, he could be roasting in hell which is his rightful place.

Wright shook his head. "Bullshit. He said he'd come straight over, and if he wanted to get a bite," he jerked his head toward the stairway. "I got him covered, and he knows it."
