LOOK BEHIND YOU!" He bellowed at the unfortunate sap on-screen, about two seconds away from being eviscerated.

Em laughed. "That never works." She took as big drink of water and patting his shoulder. "But it was a nice gesture." She settled into the couch, making herself a bit more comfortable. "Do you mingd if I...?" She gestured to her coat as she pulled it off. "Sorry it was getting a bit warm. Did I mention how greatful I am?" She smiled again, and turned back to the t.v.

Garth nodded, placed his hand on her lower back, and lead her deeper into the graveyard. He didn't rush her, but he stayed close, his voice low as he spoke soothing words to her.
After five minutes of walking, they came to the moleseum. The stone was worn, the paint chipped in several large patches of the paint was gone, revealing bare stone.
He didn't say anything at first, then solemnly, "Lei...this is my family crypt...My mother and Father are laid to rest here, as well as my wife.."

She was quiet, he could tell she was fuming. He stroked her lower back, lightly, and answered her. "I don't like to talk about the life I used to lead. She died at the same time as my parents...by the Black Aeon."
He remained oddly calm as he told her, there was no emotional turmoil, no storm of rage, just a coldness from deep within him.
"I just thought you should meet them..."

Legacies left the bar after the others, keeping tabs on the rest of the group was proving to be interesting, they all seemed to be coming back though. The question now was could they all leave after this was done?
Legacies disappeared in the back alleys of Millenium City where he sat brooding as he stared blankly at a wall, his mind racing as it still worked out the determination of what he was and how he would deal with the two personalities that became one. He only had a day or two left.

Moments later, they were gone from New Orleans, and back in his apartment in Millinium City. He was exhausted, emotionally. As much as he loved going back to the city, he hated the visit. He did it everytime though.

Obnly once they were back, and Lei felt the emotional and mental exhaustion inside him did she realize that he was still effected deeply by what had happened. She was very tempted to ask about it, like she had about the Guardians, so much that the curiousity snaked through the empathic link. But all she did was half-close her eyes, cuddling closer as a tendril of shadow opened the fridge door and crawled into the living room, presenting a cold beer silently to Garth.

He accepted the beer gratefully, and held her. He remained quiet with her for awhile, not wanting to bother with anything. Tomorrow would be long enough, thier return to Ultima, and accepting thier offer.

John and Bowman had a little meeting for awhile in a private room. They discussed some of the information that John had mentioned in his interview, where he had gotten it and how.
Following the discussion Bowman brought John into his office and handed him a folder. After that John left for the moment, knowing that he would be called back in with the others shortly.
Bowman sat at his desk and flipped through some files then picked up his phone. He began to make the phone calls to recall the team. It was time to bring them all back in and find out who was staying and who was going. He called each in turn, talking to whoever he got ahold of, telling them the time and location, leaving a message with the information when he got voicemail.

After the trip to New Orleans, there was really not that much going on in Little Italy. Garth and Lei continued to adjust to living together, but the topic of his family and wife was not brought up again for the next couple of days.
The second day after the trip the call came from Ultimates. Lei noticed the lack of caller id, and let it go to the answering machine. A voice she didn't know, addressing Saibot, informing him when and where to meet... and requesting politely that the message be passed to Argent 'when he saw her next'.
Perhaps Ultimates didn't know she had moved in with Garth. Absently Lei wondered how that got past Tarot... or if he simply had not told the poor underling.
When Garth emerged from the shower, she played the message back for him. "They want us there in an hour, it seems... and they don't know I'm here... yet. What now?"
