Jernei also eyed the runes more closely, to try to identify any that she could.

((Knowledge Arcane 11 + Roll 16= 27. Not even close, I'm sure))

You manage to note that the runes are in draconic and elvish, but that is about it.

Vincent on the other hand was busy deciphering the script he looked it over

"This is interesting. the runes are a combination of draconic and elven glyphs. They denote keeping in only one creature. I would need more time to get the full meaning out of it"

"More than I got out of it..." Jernei admitted, although the dragonic symbols for 'danger' and 'death' were repeated often. "Whatever it was, they thought it dangerous and deadly..." she said, twisting her head to try to puzzle more out of it. "At least... something about Danger and Death... or is it Dead?"

The kobold shrugged. "We just trekked through a maze full of lethal traps and a battle with clones. We came here for a reason, folks. We finish the job or you guys run off and I get the clan down here and we mob the fucker."

"A lich?!" Jernei exclaimed, doublechecking the runes. "Dead... death... danger.... dragon... " she read aloud, frowning as she tried to peice more together.

"It'd take hours to figure out exactly what they're trying to warn us against." she snarled in frustration. "Let's just go in and kill it."

Jernei was also preparing, mentally reviewing which of the limited number of spells she had memorized that she could still cast. The answer: not many. Only one of her highest level, two of the second, and none of the basic non-cantrip level. Those she had spent on multiple castings of Tensor's Disk. It was looking like she'd have to depend on her dragonic side more.

"For now, I'll stay as is... keep my other side as a surprise if I can." she told her companions.

Slipping on his Helm of comprehend languages and read magic, Caden decided to give it his all.....

*Starring Deeply at the runes* I....am....getting.....(insert DM response)

What ever it is I guess I'll try a combo attack this time....a little pushing it around and a little blowing holes in him. Hopefully that will do more then just make him notice me. Either way my best defences against spells are out, I just hope that is enought to hold it off.

The door opened, and you must all make DC 37 will saves, or be shaken.

You see before you a skeletal monstrosity. It's massive bony wings spread out around it. it's humungous head still had some aged green skin attached, and, it;s fangs dripped with a noxious sludge and its empty eye socets were filled with malevolent red orbs.

Vincent was unnaturally fast somehow, and before anyone knew it he was encased in a web of spell defenses. His mind was seemingly impervios to fear, as the wave of dragonfear hit him, he didnt even flinch (not having to really roll to make the check helps)

Active in the mage
Protection from spells (+8 to saves against spells)
protection from energy: acid (120 damage resistance against acid, drains per hit)
Globe of invulnerability (4th level and lower spell immunity)
Protection from evil
Displacement (50% miss chance)

The dracolich moved faster than it had any right to, or had been waiting, either way, it opened up immediatly with the horror which was it's breath weapon, you must make a DC 37 reflex save of take 111 points of acid damage (unless you have evasion, you take 55 if you make the save), on the plus side, you are less than 60 feet away from the thing

Vincent's roll: fails
Vincent is caught blindsided by the acid and his spell defenses take the brunt of it, his Protection from Energy spell nearly collapses, he certainly would have died if he took the full force of it, unless he had other tricks up his sleeve
